MEETING STARTS - 09:30 – APRIL 9th

UPCOMING MEETING

MAIN MEETING TOPIC: PROCESSING MULTIMEDIA

At this month's meeting we'll be discussing ways to process media from various sources so that you can play the content on the various devices and players you may own. Whether it be media from your camcorder or flash content from the Internet or media from other sources, have you had the desire to port it in a friendly, compatible format to your favorite players? Do you want to be able to take it with you when you are away from home?

Are you the user of a media player that has limited media format support and can't play all the different media formats you own? Almost every player, including WMP, WMC, iTunes, smart phones, iPad like devices, TV media players, and obviously MP3 players are limited by the file size or file type of the media they can play.

We'll have a general discussion about media processing. We'll try to answer the questions you may have that are specific to your situation.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & REMINDERS

1) If you are a member and did not attend the December 2010 meeting, then you likely missed out on getting one of the end of year 4GB Kingston MicroSD cards with adapters as a Christmas gift. If so, and you would like one, contact John D to make arrangements to get yours.

2) Club membership entitles you to receive a hard copy of the newsletter and access to our email list server, which is run for the benefit of our members. Please do not hesitate to post club and computer related notices and problems to it. If we can’t solve your problem remotely, we can be alerted to it ahead of the monthly meeting where more hands-on may help resolve your problem.

3) A few of the regular attendees usually partake of lunch at the Campus Corner Restaurant near the intersection of Routes 30 and 320 just off the Villanova University campus. So, after the meeting, why not join us? It’s an opportunity to get more help and to discuss our common interests.

4) Help MLCUG go “Green”. We issue this newsletter by both electronic means through our email list server and in hardcopy format. If you find yourself not reading the hardcopy, PLEASE inform John D, the editor, so that you will only receive the electronic version.
