VALORANT is a hero shooter-inspired tactical FPS game where each agent has a unique voice line whenever they use their ultimate abilities.

Riot put in a lot of effort to make each of their agents stand out from the others. From speedster Jett to toxic Viper, every one of them has a unique voice line that demonstrates their personality. In the process, it gives every agent more depth in their character.

Additionally, these ultimate voice lines also behave differently depending on whom you are interacting with at the exact moment when you use your ultimate utility. For example, if your allies are close and you are Raze, the voice line warns your teammates of the incoming rockets. In comparison, your opponents will get an entirely different voice line depending on where the ability was activated.

As such, these voice lines become essential sound cues for incoming attacks. Knowing when to take cover in the case of incoming damage dealing ultimate ability can be the difference between winning or losing a round.

Players of all skill buckets need to remember each of these voice lines in their heads to win rounds.

Here, we’ll showcase some of the better player cards in VALORANT to give players an idea.

Riot Games, the developers behind the popular Moba game League of Legends, and plenty of other notable free-to-play titles entered the competitive tactical shooter market with VALORANT. VALORANT was their foray into the world of FPS games, as none of their prior games had first-person shooter elements in them.

Similar to every other game developed by Riot, this one also uses the tried and tested “freemium” model for monetization. As such, this tactical hero shooter has no barrier to entry. Although players can spend real-world money to purchase different types of cosmetic items to customize their play sessions.

This list of the best player cards was updated in Episode 8 Act 1 of VALORANT

What is a Player Card in VALORANT ?

Player cards are one of these cosmetic items that players can show off on the main menu while they are waiting for a match to start. Also, after the game client finds a map, the game temporarily reveals the player cards of all the players as banners. Consequently, rare player cards are really sought after by the VALORANT community.

How to Get Player Cards in VALORANT

Riot usually bundles unique player cards based on a certain theme with most of the premiumexclusive, and ultra-edition weapon skins. Even new Acts feature a ton of new player cards for players to choose from, provided they purchase the battle pass.

While some unique player cards are behind a paywall in VALORANT, some cooler ones can still be collected without spending a dime. For example, if players complete Agent gear and reach Tier 2/3 and 9, they are eligible to get two Agent-specific player cards.

As for the weapon skin bundle and previous battle pass-specific player cards, unfortunately, they might not be available in the future since they were a limited-time reward for that particular time frame. Suffice it to say that you should get unique player cards that you like as soon as they are available in the digital store before they disappear forever.

Aside from these, Riot tends to gift the community with unique-looking free player cards on different occasions.

Here, you’ll find everything there is to know about the Exclusive Edition skins that have been released so far in VALORANT.

VALORANT is a free-to-play tactical shooter developed by the developers of League of Legends. Similar to League, Riot Games has adopted a “freemium” model to monetize the game. As such, VALORANT has no barrier to entry since this is a free-to-play game.

Instead, players can choose to purchase skins, battle passes, and other in-game virtual items to customize their play session. Riot Games has already stated that they never intend to sell powerups in VALORANT as that may affect the game’s competitive integrity.

Among these skins, exclusive edition skins are quite special as they have additional sound and VFX that can be upgraded using in-game currencies. They are only behind the Ultra Edition of skins in VALORANT in terms of status.

Following the massive success of the original Glitchpop skin bundle in VALORANT, Riot Games finally came up with a sequel in 2021. The 2.0 version of this skin line featured the same design language as the original bundle. As such, they only added weapon skins that were missing from the original release, like Vandal and Phantom.

Glitchpop 2.0 features similar-looking VFX effects to its predecessor. Even the finisher is exactly the same. Since many players were complaining that the original line lacked popular weapons like Vandal, Phantom, and Operator, Riot decided to fill in the gaps by adding more Glitchpop skins and making the fanbase happy in the process.

The Ruination skin line was the first direct collaboration between the League of Legends and VALORANT teams at Riot Games. This skin line features finishers and animation that are in stark contrast to the previous skin line. While the Ruination finisher animation sends players to the dark side, the Sentinels of Light’s finisher brings players back from the “Ruined” state. In short, it basically performs an exorcism.

With the release of the Spectrum bundle, players were greeted with an amusing skin set made in collaboration with Zedd, a renowned DJ, record producer, and songwriter. Since it is a one-of-a-kind collaboration with a popular figure from pop culture, Riot went the extra mile to ensure they could deliver an amusing skin line.

It suffices to say that the cosmetic team at Riot Games didn’t disappoint. The skin features a musical theme, which is expected from a collaboration with Zedd. Colorfully animated beats can be seen alongside the visible part of the skins. And this transparent waveform melee is just icing on the cake.

Also, the finisher animation has effects that make Zedd’s signature music score drop like rain.

Riot Games had its second VALORANT Championship tournament starting on August 31, 2022. To maintain its tradition, the developer released the VALORANT Championship 2022 skin bundle in the following patch. Players eagerly waited for its release as it was one of the most beautiful skin bundles in the game.

Just like before, the skin line contained only two skins. However, this time, the bundle brought Phantom into the game instead of Vandal. The Phantom had a golden and red color scheme like its previous ancestor. But, the design was different, and it looked like the weapon was made of precious Ruby and Gold, which looked absolutely stunning to the eye.

A Butterfly melee was also featured with the Champions 2022 bundle. The Butterfly Melee is very similar to the RGX 2.0 Butterfly knife except for its colors. In any case, the Champions 2022 skin bundle had an excellent thought behind its development, and fans loved the bundle like its predecessor.

The Champions 2023 bundle took a slightly different approach compared to previous ones. Instead of a golden and red color combination, the new skins have a golden and purple color contrast. There’s also a glowing Champions logo above the trigger of the Vandal, which looks absolutely amazing.

The melee, on the other hand, looks a lot like the Skeleton Knife from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, there’s also a glowing Champions logo on the knife. Nonetheless, the reaction to the recent Champions bundle has mostly been positive.

Exclusive Edition Skin Price

The Exclusive Edition of skin prices can vary depending on its exclusivity and the number of customization options the skin line features. Having said that, a typical Exclusive Edition skin costs around 2175VP for each individual skin and 8700VP for the whole bundle. On the other hand, special bundles and capsules like Champions, Arcane, and Ignite Capsule differ in price range and cannot be predicted.

However, they are really expensive skins. And if you want to upgrade these skins to their highest level using Radianite points, expect to pay even more.

How to Buy Exclusive Edition Skins

If you want to purchase Exclusive Edition skins in VALORANT then you would have to buy them as a whole bundle as soon as they arrive in the VALORANT’s digital store. Usually, each new bundle stays in the storefront for two weeks. Unfortunately, players can only purchase the full bundle within that time period.

However, there are two ways you can get your hands on past Exclusive Edition skins if you somehow missed your chance when they were available on the storefront. The first way is through the rotating skin shop in VALORANT’s digital store.

Valorant rotating shop

In the rotating shop, the game client randomly offers 4 different skins from past bundles. And the store rotates every 24 hours. If you get lucky and see an Exclusive Edition of skin in that lineup, you can get buy that particular skin.

The second way to get previously released Exclusive Edition skin is through the Night Market, which provides random discounts on six randomly selected skins ranging from Select to Ultra edition.

Do Exclusive Edition Skins Go on Sale?

As mentioned earlier, Exclusive Editionskins in VALORANT can go on sale via the Night Market. In short, Night Market provides randomly generated discounts on six randomly selected skins. If the RNG god is in your favor, you might catch Exclusive Edition skins on sale.

Upcoming Exclusive Edition Skins

As of writing, there is no update on any future Exclusive Edition skin in VALORANT. However, Riot tends to release multiple Exclusive Edition skins in a year. There is a good chance they might release more Exclusive Edition lines in 2024.

The Ultra Edition skin collections in VALORANT represent the top-of-the-line skins in the game. And so far, only 4 of them have been made available to the community.

In total, there are five different tiers of skins in VALORANT. These are: “Select Edition,” “Deluxe Edition,” “Premium Edition,” “Ultra Edition,” and “Exclusive Edition.” Among them, the Ultra Edition skins are by far the most unique-looking cosmetic items in the game.

Ultra Edition skins are top-tier reactive skins that players can purchase in VALORANT using VP(Valorant Points). Also, these skins are upgradeable using Radianite points to unlock even more color variations, sound effects, and VFX. These effects range from basic lighting effects to full-fledged animations.

Unlike the other skin collections, the price of the Ultra Edition skins varies drastically from one another. As of this writing, Riot Games has released 4 Ultra Edition skin bundles. These are Elderframe, Protocol 781-A, Radiant Entertainment System, and Evori Dreamwings.

The Elderflame skin bundle was first announced in 2020, following the global release of VALORANT. Riot went out with their first Ultra Edition skin as they transformed a living breathing dragon into a skin line.

It looked as if these skins had a personality of their own. Keeping in line with other skins, the Elderflame bundle had upgrades for cool effects and four unique color variants like Red with subtle blue highlights, the default grey & orange, a mixture of blue & red, and lastly, a dark variant with purple highlights.

Extra ItemsGun Buddy, Playercard, Spray

Riot finally released a second ultra-edition skin in VALORANT called Protocol 781-A. As this is an Ultra Edition skin, Riot went out of its way to make something unique. Even though there are plenty of skins in VALORANT with a futuristic design theme, the release of Protocol 781-A Riot pushed the boundary once again on how much you can do with weapon skin.

At its core, Protocol 781-A features a dystopian cyberpunk design. On top of that, this skin line features unique voice lines as a fifth upgrade level to make it stand out from other Exclusive and Premium Edition skins.

Like the Elderflame bundle, Protocol 781-A features four color variants that can be upgraded using Radianite points.

Extra Items3x Gun Buddies, 3x Playercards, 3x Sprays

At first glance, the skin may look pretty ordinary. However, the animations and the sound of the skins will change your mind. The sound of the arcade games and pixelated animations will take you back to earlier days. Moreover, the skin has color variations and upgrades that may make every skin look different. So you can literally have multiple skins in one bundle.

Evori Dreamwings

Price9,900 VP
Available WeaponsGhost, Vandal, Spectre, Odin, Evori’s Spellcaster
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsBase, Green, Orange, Pink
Extra Items3x Gun Buddies, 5x Playercards, 5x Titles

The Evori Dreamwings skin collection is more special than the previous one because it is based on League of Legends’ famous Star Guardian skin line. If you’re not familiar with the Star Guardian theme, you may find the skins a lot similar to those of the Sailor Moon or Power Ranger characters. The main attraction of the skins is the vibrant pearlescent aesthetic with a touch of cute Star Guardian characters that are, in VALORANT, called Dreamwing friends. Although Riot Games didn’t integrate the Star Guardian characters directly into the skins, the resemblance is obvious and made in a way that fans can notice.

Ultra Edition Skin Price

The Elderframe, Protocol 781-A, and Evori Dreamwings bundles cost 9900 VP, meaning almost $100 for each collection. However, Riot Games went up another level by releasing the Radiant Entertainment System collection, which was available for purchase for a total of 11900 VP. As of now, it remains the most expensive skin bundle in VALORANT. However, there are only three Ultra Edition skins in the game. So, it only makes sense that these skin bundles are really rare and supposed to be expensive.

How to Buy Ultra Edition Skins

Unfortunately, the Ultra Edition skins can no longer be bought as a whole bundle. Riot usually releases a skin bundle as a whole set. And they stay in the digital store for two weeks. After that time, the bundle can’t be purchased as a whole skin set anymore.

valorant store
image via diamondlobby

The only way to get a hold of these ultra skins is to wait for each individual Ultra skins to arrive in your in-game store’s rotating shop, which usually features four unique skins from past bundles. And the store rotates every 24 hours.

So, if you somehow managed to get lucky and the RNG God blessed you with an Ultra skin, go to the store and claim that using Valorant points. Also, you can use Radianite points to unlock additional custom sound effects, animations, color variations, and finishers.

Wraith is a fan-favorite character with a lot of cosmetic options. So, we have our list of the best Wraith Skins in Apex Legends.

Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind the popular Titanfall franchise of video games, shocked everyone by releasing a battle royale spin-off called Apex Legends. Following its release, it cemented itself as the best battle royale game in the market, garnering 50 million players within the first month.

Wraith stood out for the mysterious abilities that enabled her to be invulnerable while being in a tricky situation and rotating her squadmates around the map via her portal. At launch, she was sort of a poster child for Apex Legends.

As she is a fan-favorite character, she has amassed quite a diverse collection of legendary character skins in the game. Since Apex is a free-to-play game, Respawn paid much attention to delivering some truly awe-inspiring outfits for Wraith.

In Tier 3, Wraith becomes a full-fledged Pilot with a face mask and fully equipped gear.

Will Past Event-related Wraith Skins Ever Return?

Respawn has announced that battle pass skins from Season 11 and onwards may be available in an event-specific skin package in the future. So, the event and recolor skins may ultimately make their way to the store. However, older skins from Battle Pass may never make it into the game.

The post The 10 Best Flatline Skins of Apex Legends in 2024 appeared first on GameRiv.

]]>
Respawn has released a ton of Flatline skins since the launch of Apex Legends. However, here are our top ten Flatline skins to ever exist in the game.

Respawn Entertainment stunned the video gaming world by releasing Apex Legends, which is basically a battle royale spin-off of their Titanfall franchise. Aside from a fresh new take on the battle royale genre with hero shooter-like abilities, the gunplay and ease of movement also made the game stand out amongst the sea of other battle royale games.

On top of that, the game initially launched with a pretty diverse roster of firearms. From sharpshooting sniper rifles to skill-focused weapons, Apex packed quite a punch in its weapon department.

Among them, Flatline stood out from the crowd as a reliable competitor to the beloved R-301. As most of the weapons were originally from Titanfall, diehard fans of the Titanfall franchise already expected them to show up in one form or another.

As it is an assault rifle, it packs quite a punch. However, it is also really difficult to control at further distances due to the heavy recoil. Despite that, this AK-47 look-alike cemented itself as part of the weapon meta in Apex Legends.

Since Apex Legends is a free-to-play game with in-game microtransactions, players can choose to spend real-world money to customize their play sessions. As such, over the years, Respawn has released quite a few amusing skins for the Flatline.

The Flatline Skins tier list was last updated during Season 19.

How Many Flatline Skins are There in Apex Legends?

Right now, in season 19 of Apex Legends, 92 skins for Flatline are available. Among them, a total of 26 Legendary, 16 Epic, 35 Rare, and 16 Common skins have been released so far.

Our 10 Most Favorite Flatline Skin Picks

Apex Legends first launched in early 2019, and since then, Respawn has launched a handful of Flatline skins for its fans. The weapon has dropped in popularity since the launch of Apex Legends, yet it is still one of those guns players want to pick up if they see it lying in front of them on the ground.

As mentioned earlier, Respawn has released a bunch of Flatline skins in the game, and they will continue to do so in the future. However, here are our 10 best R-99 skins that we think are the best in the game:

1. Heat Sink

Heat Sink

TitleDescription
Release DateFebruary 4, 2020

AlternativesHeavy Metal

Heat Sink was released back in season 4 as a part of the exclusive battle pass level 100 reactive skin. Since this was exclusive to battle pass completionists, it has slowly become one of the game’s rarest and most sought-after Flatline skins.

The old battle pass skins are becoming more desirable by the Apex community as time goes by. Understandably, this one and its other metallic recolor, called “Heavy Metal,” are considered to be the best Flatline skins in the entire game. Unfortunately, this skin won’t be available to purchase again as this was a battle pass exclusive skin.

2. Revelations

Harlequin was part of an Octane-specific joker-themed bundle from Respawn. Aside from the battle pass level 100 skins, this one is also a fan-favorite Flatline skin. The overall gold and red aesthetic paired with joker face masks on the side of the skin really gives it a unique look.

4. Slayer’s Lancer

Respawn has released a ton of R-301 skins since the launch of Apex Legends. However, here are our top ten R-301 skins to ever exist in the game.

Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind the popular Titanfall video game franchise, entered the highly competitive battle royale genre with Apex Legends. As Apex is set in the same universe as Titanfall, many of the original weapons also made it into the battle royale mode with slight alterations.

For example, the R-301 is a direct successor to the R-101 and R-201, available in the Titanfall games. Also, Apex being an online free-to-play FPS game means players don’t have a barrier to entry to enjoy this polished shooter.

Following Apex Legends’ release in 2019, the R-301 slowly cemented itself as the best assault rifle in the game. Its high rate of fire, paired with ease of control, made it the default choice for players of all skill buckets. In its current state, it is a laser beam. As this weapon is really popular, Respawn showered it with amusing-looking skins.

How Many R-301 Skins are There in Apex Legends?

As of Season 19, Respawn has released 94 skins for the R-301. Among them, there are 30 Legendary, 12 Epic, 36 Rare, and lastly, 16 Common skins available for this popular assault rifle.

Our 10 Favorite R-301 Skin Picks

As previously said, there are numerous R-301 skins to pick from. However, not all skins are created equal. Some of the skins may not be suitable since they are too plain or too outrageous. So, after hours and hours of going through all of the R-301 skins, we’ve narrowed it down to the top ten favorites, which we know many of you would agree with. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

10. Intelligent Design

At the number 10 spot, we’ve picked Intelligent Design. It is a red recolor of the base Unsheathed legendary skin. It stood out from the other recolors mainly due to its unique red colorway. Also, this variation of the R-301 skin is clean-looking with a Japanese samurai armor aesthetic. Nothing extraordinary, but we love it!

9. Honored Prey

Many of us Apex enthusiasts even bought the battle pass just to get this specific skin.

Respawn Introduced the Ice Cold Variant of the R-301 skin back in 2019 as part of the holiday-themed Holo-Day Bash collection event. This R-301 stood out to us from the crowd of other legendary skins mainly due to its gold and blue colorway, which isn’t very common in Apex.

7. Amethyst Apathy

Sometimes, there’s beauty in simplicity. The Amethyst Apathy combines two beautiful colors into a skin to behold. While most skins are flashy and have distinct features or accents, this one is surprisingly humble. Released alongside the Evolution Collection Event, this skin is for those who crave a minimalistic aesthetic.

In the Threelseekers event, Respawn introduced the Tried and True skin for the beloved R-301. Unlike most other skins of this particular weapon, it featured a unique rusty look. Unsurprisingly, the blue and gold colorway paired with the wood texture on the tail end of the weapon made this skin variant an instant hit among the Apex player base.

3. An Anger Righteous

An Anger Righteous skin came out alongside the Chaos Theory collection event. Respawn really went all out on this variant of the R-301 skin. It features a solid gold and blue colorway with a little hint of white. Also, the face mask on the side of the weapon certainly gave it a creepy vibe. It is one of the OG R-301 skins that many of us are still using even in 2024.

2. Blue Surge

Alternatives

The Season 16 Weapon Recolor Shop introduced Blue Surge to the game. It entered the Recolor store, although it is not a recolor weapon. However, this is not why Blue Surge is one of the best R-301 skins in the game. The player community loved this skin because of its futuristic appearance. Moreover, it is the only skin that deviates from the standard R-301 skin design. So, a lot of people find this skin to be incredibly intriguing.

1. The Golden Rampage

The Golden Rampage

TitleDescription
Release DateJuly 2, 2019
Available viaBattle Charge Premium Battle pass
AlternativesThe Iron Rampage

The Golden Rampage was the reactive battle pass exclusive skin that was released back in season 2 of Apex Legends. Due to the rare nature of this battle pass skin, this, along with its other recolor aptly named “Iron Rampage,” is highly sought after by the Apex community.

It features a unique-looking gold colorway on top of a Rhino skull at its tip. Similar to all the other reactive battle pass skins, it reacts to you getting a kill during the game. And we all must agree that it is one of the best reactive skins Respawn has released since the game’s release.

Will Past R-301 Event Skins Ever Return?

Unfortunately, the past battle pass-specific R-301 skins will not return to the storefront ever again, as they were an exclusive reward for that particular season. However, other recolors and event skins might return in the form of a recolor. But moving forward, Respawn has stated that battle pass skins from season 16 and onwards might return to the store in an event-specific skin bundle.

Upcoming R-301 Skins

As of writing, there has been no new update regarding any upcoming R-301 skins in the game. We’ll highlight more R-301 skins as soon as they get announced or leaked. In the meantime, check out the Upcoming Leaked Skins article to find any forthcoming skins that will be available in the future.

Here, we’ll explain all the different error codes that players usually encounter while playing Apex Legends.

As with any other AAA live service video game, Apex Legends is littered with server-related issues. Unsurprisingly, many of these server-related issues end up crashing the game. Following a crash, the game displays different types of error codes depending on the cause of the crash.

In a recent patch, Respawn apparently added more error codes so that players can have a more in-depth look at what is actually causing these game crashes. Save these in your heads if you want to know exactly what is causing your game to crash.

All the Error Codes Explained

Apex all error codes

Code Leaf:

Code leaf is probably the most common form of error code in the game. It is basically a generic timeout that occurs whenever players’ clients can’t connect to the host server.

Code Net:

Code net is also another common error code that appears from time to time. The main reason behind this one is the “timeout Network Channel.” It means your connection to the EA servers has expired.

Code Soda:

Code Soda is definitely a rare error code. And in general, it happens whenever the client sends too many frames to the server.

Code Wheel:

Similar to Code Leaf, Code Wheel is, unfortunately, one of the common error codes in Apex. In short, it means players can’t connect to the servers after being spawned due to timeout.

Code Pin:

Code Pin is not that common but it occurs from time to time. This code appears whenever you get timed out of a server while loading the game.

Code Cloud:

Code Cloud means your local persistence data doesn’t match with Apex servers. Consequently, the error code says, “Timeout: Persistence Mismatch.”

Code River:

Players encounter “Code River” when Apex servers either send or receive too much data on a reliable channel. The error code usually says, “Network Error: Reliable Channel Overflow.”

Code Dam:

Code Dam is really similar to code River as it also occurs whenever the server sends or receives too much data. As such, the full error code says, “Network Error: Generic Overflow”.

Code Shoe:

Code Shoe appears as an error when the client is out of sync with the Apex servers.

Code Rock:

Code Rock means the client, which basically means your device doesn’t have the correct remote call that the server expects.

Code Truck:

Code Truck basically means the local script remote functions don’t match the server.

Code Clog:

Code Clog occurs when the server encounters a GRX script error.

Code Clock:

Code Clock means the Apex servers have stopped waiting for your client to connect to the servers.

Code Phase:

This error code usually appears whenever you are trying to connect to the servers, but the match isn’t at a state where you can actually connect.

Code Role:

Code Role means a spectator is connecting to the server as a real player.

Code Snake:

Code Snake means your client is banned from that particular server for any length of time.
