Wild Rift patch 4.0 is a month away from release, but some leaks already reveal all the upcoming champions.

Patch 3.5 was the last major patch of 2022. That patch introduced many changes and additions to the Rift. Most notably, Riot revamped the entire jungle. Players can now share their blue and red buff after a specific time. Riot also introduced many more jungle changes, such as the removal of red smite, how junglers upgraded their smite, etc.

Moreover, Riot introduced three new champions in patch 3.5. They are Aatrox, Kayn, and Lillia. In addition, Riot introduced new items like Horizon Focus, Lord Dominik’s Regards, and Soulstealer. Furthermore, they also finally added Phase Rush and Sudden Impact to Wild Rift.

Although patch 4.0 is still more than a month away, massive leaks have already revealed all champions releasing Wild Rift.

Prominent Wild Rift leaker, ChowZ posted on Twitter about all the upcoming champions of Wild Rift in patch 4.0.

Wild Rift Upcoming Champions Patch 4.0

Two champions are planned to be released in patch 4.0.

  • Zoe
  • Zeri

Zoe

Zoe will be the first champion released in patch 4.0.

She is a mage champion, specializing in poking enemies from a distance. Moreover, she has an ability where she can get the enemy champion’s summoner’s spell and item active ability. Zoe can also put enemy champions to sleep for a good period. Moreover, her primary damaging ability, Paddle Star, deals more damage as longer it travels.

For her roles, Zoe is a burst mid-lane champion. So taking electrocute as her primary rune is the best way to get an edge.

Zeri

After Zoe, the next champion that will be released in Wild Rift is Zeri.

Zeri is one of the most mobile champions in League of Legends, as one of her abilities allows her to instantly slide through the terrain of Summoner’s Rift. Moreover, the champion’s basic attack is not even her auto attack, as a spell replaces that. Zeri’s auto attack is one of her abilities that she unlocks. Zeri’s basic attack slows down her enemies and causes brief damage. With this quick damage, Zeri can easily last-hit minions reliably.

Even though Zeri is primarily an ADC, with the right build, players can also play her on any solo lane. With Zeri’s ultimate, players can turn her into a raid boss with the right items.

Wild Rift Patch 4.0 Release Date

Zoe and Zeri will debut in Wild Rift in patch 4.0, scheduled to release on Jan 12, 2023.
