As Wild Rift patch 4.2 is on the horizon, some leaks have revealed all the upcoming champions.

The previous Wild Rift patch, 4.1, was more impactful than the first patch of the year, 4.0. The last patch added many quality-of-life changes, as well as some, welcomed additions.

Firstly Riot added two new champions to the game, Urgot and Twitch. Moreover, they reworked tanks again in patch 4.1. More tank items, like Mantle of the Twelfth Hour, were added to the game. Riot also confirmed that ADC would receive a rework in patch 4.2.

However, they revealed recently that we would receive fewer major patches than before. But Riot did assure us that content output should remain the same. Moreover, we would receive more content in each patch than before.

As for the next patch, even though the update is more than a month away, massive leaks have already revealed all the champions coming to Wild Rift.

Prominent Wild Rift leaker, ChowZ posted on Twitter about all the upcoming champions of Wild Rift in patch 4.2.

Wild Rift Upcoming Champions Patch 4.2

Three champions are planned to be released in patch 4.2.

  • Ornn
  • Volibear
  • Swain

Ornn

Ornn is the first champion, coming to Wild Rift in the upcoming patch. He is a top-lane tank. His main gimmick is that he can upgrade any legendary item. Because of that ability, we can expect some massive item overhauls soon. Maybe we might also see the mythic item category, similar to League of Legends PC.

Volibear

Volibear is a champion who could be played in either the top lane or the jungle. Not only that, but players can also opt for tank items or AP with Volibear. Lore-wise, he is Ornn’s brother. And almost every rune in Wild Rift is viable on Volibear. So overall, he would be an excellent addition to the game.

Swain

Swain is one of the coolest designed champions in League of Legends.

He is the Noxian Grand General, whose left arm is replaced with a demon. Moreover, Swain can be played in the mid, support, and even as an ADC if the player chooses. He can also infinitely scale his health via his passive. Who knows, if Pyke jungle is viable in Wild Rift, we might see Swain jungle soon as well.

Patch 4.2 Release Date

Ornn, Volibear, and Swain will be added to Wild Rift in patch 4.2, scheduled to be released on May 25, 2023.
