Renowned leaker for Persona titles claimed that Persona 6 will be set in high school again.
Atlus released Persona 3 Reload in February 2024, becoming the studio’s fastest-selling game in just over a week. Persona 3 Reload was the long-awaited remake of the original Persona 3 from 2006, and Atlus will be working on more Persona remakes after the success of Reload. Before the release of Persona 3 Reload, it was reported that Persona 6 was in the works at Atlus.
The studio provided no update or official news on Persona 6 as Atlus is currently focused on Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio, the upcoming new IP. Renowned leaker Midroi recently revealed that Persona 6 is definitely in the works at Atlus, and the game will be set again in a high school.

Persona 6 Will Take Players Back To High School
Renowned leaker Midori, or MbKKssTBhz5, replied to another user on Twitter that Persona 6 would be set again in a high school. It has been a topic of discussion among Persona fans in the community that Atlus will change the high school setting for the upcoming game to a college. After a fan on Twitter criticized if Persona 6 will potentially be set in a college setting, Midori responded to the fan saying, “We’re not getting out of high school with this one.”
Midori is a reliable insider for Persona and other Sega games and previously predicted a few leaks accurately, including the recently released Persona 3 Reload. However, it is worth noting that Atlus has not revealed or made any official announcements regarding Persona 6, so this leak will be worth taking with a pinch of salt.
However, Midori’s comment on Persona 6 is set in a high school setting disappointed fans on social media, as it seems that Atlus is not trying to make the game stand out from the rest of the franchise. Some fans pointed out that the upcoming Persona game could be a bit more Adult, which could bring something more to the franchise. However, Atlus seems to be sticking with high school settings with Persona titles, and Persona 6 will probably continue the tradition.
According to Midori, fans will have to wait until 2026 for the next Persona game to be released, and Atlus will probably reveal the upcoming mainline title in 2025. Midori mentioned that Atlus will not work on any remakes or spinoffs until the studio is done working on Persona 6.
