As Call of Duty is not a hero-shooter game like VALORANT, Apex Legends, or Overwatch, the developers cannot just incorporate heroes who can perform unrealistic movements. However, Treyarch has now developed a movement technique that is not overpowered and can be used in Call of Duty games without disrupting the gameplay. Treyarch refers to the movement tech as “Omnimovement.”

Before we get started, let us get a clear idea of what Omnimovement actually is. It is a brand new movement technique that Treyarch has innovated, allowing players to move in any direction at 360-degree angles without losing any speed. The movement includes sprinting, sliding, and diving.

For the first time ever, players can sprint, slide, and dive in any direction (forward, sidestepping, and backpedaling) and move like a true Black Ops action hero. This innovation immediately allows the player to move like never before and seamlessly chain combat maneuvers together, like sliding, diving and a newly enhanced supine prone, all with a full 360 degrees range of motion.

In previous Call of Duty titles, it wasn’t possible to sprint, slide, or dive in any other direction than forward. To make sprint, slide, or dive possible on left, right, or backward, the players needed to face in that direction and take those actions, which made the movement slow and sluggish. Although players discovered many movement techniques to overcome the sluggishness, they were either not practical or, in some cases, unachievable for the casual player base.

With the Omnimovement tech, every player will be able to enjoy fluid movement, further opening up many possibilities for “seamlessly chain combat maneuvers.” However, it is also possible that the community will not like the new tech when the game is released. Nonetheless, it will be exciting to see how it turns out.

Ahead of the launch for Season 3, we have taken action against all detected accounts that engaged in any form of boosting behavior within our competitive environment across Ranked Play modes for Modern Warfare III multiplayer and Call of Duty: Warzone. The accounts flagged for such activities will undergo a reset of their account SR progression, serving as an initial measure as we investigate the severity of their misconduct for potential further consequences.

Additionally, we have placed a high priority on the integrity of our Ranked Play leaderboards by clearing them of the accounts in question.

Fostering a fair and competitive environment for all of our players remains a top priority. We will continue to monitor leaderboards with new detections to identify boosted accounts and may fully reset SR on detected boosted accounts periodically to ensure our leaderboards reflect good, fair gameplay.

The initiative has received much positive feedback from fans, but most comments also requested more security precautions within the game. Many supporters expect additional anti-cheat measures and a resolution for shadow-ban problems.

In a recent tweet, Warzone 2.0 content creator Chad Adams shared a clip about the return of speed hacks.

Speed hacks are movement-related cheats that change players’ speed severely, making them reach impossible movement speeds in-game. In the shared gameplay footage, Chad Adams shows how a cheater using speed hacks zoomed past him at twice the concurrent movement speed.

While speed hacks are increasing movement speed for cheaters, they are still getting dunked on due to the insanely strong aim-assist of the new Modern Warfare 3 engine. The dynamic and rotational aim assist almost locks on a moving player even though they move faster than the usual speed.

The return of speed hacks is a glimpse of the current condition of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play. Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play has seen a massive player drop due to the increasing number of cheaters in every match, especially for ranks above Diamond.
