New reports claimed that Bethesda’s Starfield will not be coming to PlayStation 5 after all.

It was previously claimed that the Xbox-exclusive title Starfield would be released on PlayStation 5 in 2024. According to an older report from XboxEra, an anonymous source claimed that Bethesda and Microsoft were planning to release Starfield on PlayStation. In addition, Microsoft is also planning to bring Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to Sony’s current generation console.

Starfield Will Remain Xbox Exclusive

Reputable insider and leaker NateTheHate posted on Twitter to shut down rumours that Starfield will not be coming to PlayStation 5. On Twitter, Nate said, “I’ve rechecked the info mentioned below & the information suggesting Starfield was PS5-bound is false.”

According to Nate’s sources, the previous information was inaccurate, and Starfield will never come to PlayStation. However, Nate only spoke about Starfield but did not mention any other title in his tweets. Gears of War was another big title rumoured to be coming to PlayStation 5.

However, the rumours of Starfield and other titles coming to PlayStation 5 prompted Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer to address the issue. He later announced that Xbox would host a business event where the company will share its “vision for the future of Xbox.”

Tom Warren of The Verge reported that Microsoft is ready to reveal details on bringing previous Xbox-exclusive games to consoles like Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The community now have to wait for the Xbox event to be held and see if Phil Spencer and the team are bringing any massive changes to Xbox’s business model.
