Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has announced that the company will share its “vision for the future of Xbox” in a business event next week. Spencer made the announcement after receiving several reports over the day suggesting that Microsoft’s strategy for its first-party games may be about to undergo a massive change.
On February 5, 2024, it was reported that Microsoft could prepare to release the critically acclaimed Hi-Fi Rush from Tango Gameworks’ on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Sea of Thieves, a multiplayer pirate adventure game, was also preparing to release on PlayStation. However, the biggest news that broke was Microsoft was considering releasing Starfield, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and the Gears of War series on the PlayStation.
Microsoft has not commented on the increasing rumors that Xbox first-party games will be released on other platforms. However, Phil Spencer has announced on social media that Xbox will reveal its plans in an upcoming event.

After all this news, Xbox fans were concerned that this strategy could harm Microsoft in the long run.
