Final Fantasy producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed that FFXVI had entered the final optimization stages and revealed some information on the game.
Final Fantasy 16’s PC port has entered the ‘final stages of optimization, and the demo for the game will be released within a year. Square Enix revealed that the PC version of the game was in development after the game was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 in June 2023. In addition, the developers teased that the system requirements for PCs will be reasonably high.
In an interview with Game Informer, Final Fantasy producer Naoki Yoshida said the game’s development is progressing smoothly. However, Yoshida mentioned that the company is not ready to announce a release date. A few months ago, it was reported that Final Fantasy 16 could be coming to PC, but it will take more than a year for Square Enix to finish working on the PC port of the game.

Final Fantasy 16 Demo Coming Within A Year
In the interview with Game Informer, Naoki Yoshida was asked if players should expect Final Fantasy 16 to come to PC anytime soon. In response, Yoshida could not confirm any specific release date for FFXVI for PC. However, he confirmed that the project had entered the last stages of optimization. In addition, Yoshida mentioned that the system requirements for FFXVI on PC systems could be high.
In terms of where we are in development currently, we’re trying to figure out the final stages of optimization right now. When we can release the PC version might be dependent on that – the system requirements and specifications for PC that players will need, so we’re trying to figure that out. Naturally, [the PC specifications] are looking to be somewhat high.
