Ubisoft announced Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will receive story DLC and free updates.

Following Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown‘s successful January launch, Ubisoft announced that the game will receive three free updates this year and a paid story DLC. The game will receive three major updates for free, with new Speedrun and Permadeath modes and new outfits for Sargon in each update.

Ubisoft announced The Lost Crown’s roadmap earlier today on Twitter, revealing the content that will be added to the game later this month. On March 20, the game will receive its first round of free updates, including new Sargon outfits and Speedrun and Permadeath modes. The second update, which includes a Boss Rush mode and more Sargon outfits, is set to be released later in Spring.

The final free update for The Lost Crown, Divine Trials, will offer a new platform, combat, and puzzle challenges in the game. In addition, the update will also add a number of new amulets and more Sagon outfits. Finally, Ubisoft revealed in the roadmap that the new story DLC for The Lost Crown will come later in 2024. However, the publisher did not reveal any information on the upcoming story DLC but mentioned that more details will be revealed soon.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will receive free updates over the next few weeks.

The developers at Ubisoft have announced that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will get new modes and updates for free later in 2024. In a video posted on Twitter/X, the game director, Mounir Radi thanked the fans for the game’s success and said that the game will also receive free DLC soon.

New DLC and Game Modes Coming To The Lost Crown

Mounir Radi, the director of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, thanked the fans in a heartfelt video message on Twitter/X for all the success following the game’s release in January. Radi revealed that the team at Ubisoft is far from being done with the game and will be working on creating new content for it.

We’ve got cool plans for the coming months. These plans include free updates adding more content and modes, modes for you to challenge, explore, and enjoy. Our first free update is coming soon.

Mounir Radi on Twitter/X

Although Radi did not reveal when the update was coming to the game, he promised that the update would be coming soon. The announcement of free game modes and additional content created excitement among the player base. Some fans have praised Ubisoft for prioritizing content and the approach the studio is taking following the game’s release.

The developers did not reveal precisely what content was coming to the game. However, Radi recommended players to “train with Artaban and maybe try to beat the game in Immortal mode” so players could be prepared for whatever challenge the game might offer. Immortal is the hardest difficulty setting in The Lost Crown, which will increase enemies’ health and damage to players, making it challenging for the players.

Learn how to solve the Water Wheel Puzzle in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

The Lost Crown is the latest addition to the famous franchise Prince of Persia. The game has brought back many old features of the game, which will surely make the veterans very nostalgic about their old days. Ubisoft has done an amazing job in adding new flavors to the game while keeping the old essence intact.

On their journey, players will find a puzzle involving a Water Wheel to open a locked door to progress further in the game. This puzzle might seem very tricky and complicated. In this guide, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide to solve the Water Wheel Puzzle in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

Water Wheel Puzzle in The Lost Crown

Wheel Puzzle 1

Once players reach the puzzle location, they’ll come across a massive wheel with two poles attached to it, right next to a gear. To crack this puzzle, they gotta jump and grab onto the lower pole. Then, they gotta jump onto the left pole. From there, they’ll spot a hook on the wall to their left. Now, they gotta jump onto that hook. And finally, they need to jump up and whack the switch on the ceiling. Simple as that!

Wheel Puzzle 2

After flipping the switch, players can touch the ground again. Now, they just gotta stand on the left pressure plate below the wheel. This will get the water flowing and make the wheel spin. When the poles swing to the right and lower side, players should release the pressure plate. Now, hop back on the lower pole and then onto the pole on the right. Once on the right pole, simply jump straight up and hit another switch on the ceiling.

Wheel Puzzle 3

So, here’s how it works: when you stand on the right pressure plate, it rotates both the wheel and the gear. You gotta stay on that plate until the pole on the gear reaches the upper position. Once it’s up there, hop back on the left pressure plate to rotate the wheel. If you stay on the right plate, it’ll just keep turning the gear more.

Wheel Puzzle 4

So, here’s the final plan: First, stand on the left plate and bring the poles back to their previous positions, which are right and lower. Then, jump onto the lower pole and make your way over to the right pole. Once there, spot a hook on the right wall. All you have to do is jump and hang on that hook, and ta-da! The door below will open up for them.

Only by conquering all four mystifying puzzles can you prove yourself worthy to possess this invaluable Time Power. Approaching the Central Chamber

Entering the grand central chamber, you find yourself surrounded by five towering doors. The four glowing orange portals on each wall lead to puzzle rooms, while the large sealed blue gateway beckons ahead.

Starting with the Bottom Left Puzzle

Interact with the active bottom left entrance first. Inside, three statues encircle two wall levers and a caged tablet. Activating the central pedestal summons your shadow clones on a timer.

When it starts, immediately wall jump right and lower the lever, holding it until time expires.

Your second shadow performs the same action on the left.

With both levers held down, your final shadow simply grabs the unlocked tablet—completing the introductory trial.

Moving to the Upper Left Test

Having bested the first test, the top left and bottom right doors now unlock. Let’s head up next to the second puzzle chamber.

This room functions just like the last. When your timer begins, quickly traverse the area using platforms and gaps to scale the height. At the peak, activate Shadow of Simurgh to leave a copy.

On shadow two, teleport back to the copy with the same power. Now move right, stepping on the floor plate and waiting until time runs out. Wait for the cage to open up, and use shadow two to seize the second tablet from the opened cage.

Conquering the Tricky Bottom Right Challenge

With two puzzles finished, it’s time for the difficult one. Head right to the bottom door to continue.

When your timer starts, instantly wall jump and lower the right lever, holding about 5 seconds before returning to the floor and occupying the central pressure plate. This keeps the overhead parts in place for the finale.

Your second shadow mirrors the wall leap and lowers the left lever for the round’s duration.

Your final shadow must precisely time jumps to land on the platforms created by the others, using them to reach the high cage and claim the third tablet. Practice makes perfect here.

Solving the Elaborate Top Right Puzzle

Just one final trial remains now. This dance requires a Shadow of Simurgh planted in the perfect location.

For attempt one, sprint downstairs and briefly hold the floor switch. With around 4 seconds left, step off then immediately back on, closing the central gate.

Your second shadow waits above until the first clone’s platform appears. Descend and activate the high lever, summoning a vertical wall. Leap down to the platform, planting a copy by the open gate.

The final shadow again waits for the platform to emerge, then transports to the planted copy. Pause until the high lever pulls, then use the fresh wall to reach the pinnacle and collect the fourth tablet, unlocking the blue gateway.

How to Start The Lost Warrior

the lost warriors quest

You can start The Lost Warrior side quest early in the game during your Lost in Mount Qaf main quest. While traveling across the Lower City, you will meet with Nojan, a soldier who believes he has been stuck in the area for around 30 years. However, that is not the case, as he is entrapped by the time, and his team entered the area just a day before you. You will then have to find all the lost warriors and put them out of their misery to collect their Insignia of Persepolis.
