The game is filled to the brim with aviation, armored vehicles, and naval vessels from the early 20th century to the modern-day combat units. Buckle up and ready yourself to face major battles on land, sea, and of course, air.

In War Thunder, all kinds of aircraft, ground forces, and naval units controlled by players all over the world take part in epic competitive battles. You have over 2,000 units to choose from and an extensive variety of combat situations, many of which were inspired by real-world history. So strap in and take part in the battles that are to come!

However, when deciding which nation has the best planes, many factors need to be considered. Some nations have planes that are better for turn-fighting, some specialize in bombing, and some in energy fighting.

So, there are a lot of factors that affect the answer to this question. However, keep reading to make that decision for yourself! We’ll provide you with everything you need to know.

Best Plane Nations in War Thunder 2024

Here are the 10 nations you can choose from for aerial combat in War Thunder, going from worst to best:

10. Israel

Pros:

  1. Has viable tier 4 and 5 planes like B-17G and Spitfire MkIX
  2. Their Planes are somewhat good at taking out ground targets.

Cons:

  1. Has an extremely small selection of planes.

2. Not a beginner friendly nation to start with.

3.Only playable when you have another nation at Tier 4 or you buy the premium.

Israel comes last in this list as their selection of planes is the smallest in number. And whatever planes they do boast are nothing more than the ordinary. The lack of diversity and the copy and paste aircraft design make it tough for us to rank Israel any higher up this list. Moreover, you can’t play Israel without another nation already being at Tier 4 so there’s that as well.

9. France

Pros:

  1. Decend endgame
  2. Has the Lautour bombers, which are decent jets.

Cons:

  1. Planes are abysmal at low ranks.
  2. 7.5mms does barely anything.
  3. 60 rounds of 20mms run out fairly fast in a fight.
  4. Mediocre jet lineups.
  5. Bad engines

We would generally advise you to avoid France if you’re completely new to the game. While the nation is not unplayable, you really should have a good grasp of the main nations before you decide to test out France. Also, it is very difficult to get a decent lineup of planes in BR 4 or above. One plane we can recommend is the Potez 631 because of its well-rounded traits overall. However, a couple of decent planes can’t lift France any higher up this ranking.

8. China

Pros:

  1. Good selection of planes early on.
  2. Decent tech tree.
  3. Has the F-104G Starfighter with the M61 Vulcan Gatling gun.

Cons:

  1. Difficult to form a good lineup in the later tiers.
  2. Whatever line they do have are planes borrowed from other nations, so they lack originality.
  3. Tier 7, 8 planes are nothing too impressive.

China is somewhat decent in a way since it can borrow planes from countries like the US. Their tech tree lineup is a mix of all the other countries like the USA, USSR, and Japan. However, the later BR steps are difficult to deal with. They don’t offer a lot in terms of a well-rounded lineup of planes.

7. Sweden

Pros:

  1. Planes carry great firepower.
  2. Higher-tier planes are not bad.
  3. Bombers are great.

Cons:

  1. Overall, their planes are generally slow.
  2. It is not beginner-friendly.
  3. Higher-ranked players can easily outplay them.
  4. Ammunition is outclassed easily.

Sweden’s aircraft are somewhat easily over-tiered because of their 13mm HEF ammo. Although the planes boast good firepower, almost every other flying vehicle out there can and will outspeed them. Their finish planes and the B-18 do hold them up a bit, but they’re nothing too special.

6. Italy

Pros:

  1. Superb german guns
  2. Great german engines
  3. Good enough belts
  4. Planes have good maneuverability.
  5. Later props come with three 20mm MG151/20s along with 2x 12.7s.
  6. Has some great planes like G.55 Serie 1 and C.205 Serie 3.

Cons:

  1. Lackluster jets.
  2. Very high repair costs on later props.
  3. Some of their engines overheat quickly.
  4. Not a vast lineup of planes.

Coming in at six is Italy. Italian aircraft are a hit or miss. They’re pretty decent if you can aim without tracers. And the stealth belts packing the .50 are a force to reckon with. However, there is a lack of good bombers and also strike planes, especially above BR 3 and 4. Additionally, their early fighters aren’t anything spectacular, either.

5. UK

Pros:

  1. Their Spitfires are great.
  2. Boasts pretty good guns overall
  3. High maneuverability on plans.
  4. Viable late props like Mk.22 and 24 Spitfires.
  5. Good climb rate.
  6. Good for multiple playstyles

Cons:

  1. Speed of their planes is subpar.
  2. Weird BR placement.
  3. Mid-tier jet lineup.

Next up is the UK. The UK is a very beginner-friendly option with some excellent fighters once you get past the biplanes. Their Hurricanes can very easily carry you early, their Spitfires are highly maneuverable and their Typhoons and Tempests have decent firepower and speed. But a major downside is that their 7mm is all over the plane’s wing and the 20mm often lacks ammo and also overheats irritatingly quickly.

4. Japan

Pros:

  1. Majority of their planes can outturn you.
  2. Great planes like the Ki-84 with 4x 20mm guns.
  3. Great fighters.
  4. Good climb rate.
  5. Decent at most altitudes.

Cons:

  1. Notoriously weak for not being able to stand too much damage.
  2. Low start-off ammunition.
  3. Bad belts on a few of their planes.
  4. Very high repair costs.
  5. Inferior engines.

Japan has the most agile aircraft in the entire game, with its lineup consisting of the nimble Ki-43 and A6M Zero line. They also boast heavier options with the big cannon with the Ki-45 and 102 heavy fighters. But one big downside is that their planes are generally really up-tiered. While the planes do take a fair bit of skill to really master, we assure you that it will be worth your while if you decide to do so.

3. USSR

Pros:

  1. Planes are generally good at turning.
  2. Decent firepower.
  3. Very decent lineup of planes.
  4. Can outspeed planes from other nations in many cases.

Cons:

  1. Low ammo count all over the board.
  2. Subpar roll rate later on.
  3. Underwhelming jet lineup.
  4. Bad belts for 20mms.

Coming in third is the Soviet Union. The USSR certainly has a wide range of planes that don’t really excel at anything but do a good enough job at everything. Their planes are decent at vertical and horizontal fighting or with Boom and Zoom tactics. Moreover, their selection of bombers and attackers is quite good early on, and their late-game lineup isn’t terrible either. Overall, it is a very well-rounded nation in terms of aviation.

2. Germany

Pros:

  1. Great at energy fighting and boom and zoom tactics.
  2. Bf 109s are terrific planes overall.
  3. Great engines.
  4. Decent climb rate.
  5. Great at high altitudes.
  6. Above average belts.
  7. Has the best lineup of jets in the game.

Cons:

  1. Not the best at turn-fighting tactics.
  2. Tier 3 and 4 planes are outperformed.

Ranking second in this list is Germany. Although the Rank I options that they boast really tend to be sluggish, their mid-to-late game fighters are one of the, if not the best in the game. Moreover, Germany has the widest range of jet fighters and rockets as well. One mentionable downside is their bombers, we do advise you to avoid using them if you can. Also, the difficulty in upgrading the planes makes the nation take second place instead of the first.

1. USA

Pros:

  1. The 12.7mm M2 and M3 machine guns are fantastic.
  2. Good ammo count and velocity.
  3. The F8F-1b Bearcats with 4x 20mm guns are phenomenal
  4. Great endgame jets.
  5. Great firepower overall.

Cons:

  1. Some planes later on have relatively high repair costs.
  2. Not great at turn-fighting.

The best nation to pick when focusing on aviation is the US. When it comes to aircraft, the United States has more than 150. What’s more, is that almost all of them carry .50 caliber or 12.7mm machine guns and missiles. Also, incendiary rounds can make for some deadly ammunition for the later stages. Additionally, the switch to Boom and Zoom-style planes with a lot of .50s can shred the opponent. Therefore, although the USA has a few noticeable flaws when you really dig in, it firmly positions itself as the best nation for planes in War Thunder.

War Thunder has a lot of choices when it comes to picking nations for Tanks. Here, we list and rank all the best nations for Tanks in War Thunder 2024.

When you hear military/war video games, the first thought that comes to your mind is first-person shooter and, occasionally, third-person. War Thunder stands out with its unique approach to war games. Focusing on realistic vehicular combat only, War Thunder dishes out a magnificent harmony of air, land, and sea combat and puts a strong focus on tactical gameplay.

Furthermore, War Thunder hosts a huge array of choices when it comes to choosing your perfect vehicle, allowing all playstyles and roles to thrive.

For this guide, we will be listing and ranking the best nations for tanks in War Thunder so that you can pick the tank that is best for your reign of land destruction.

Best Tank Nations in War Thunder

War Thunder has 10 nations to play as Tanks. While some are very strong with their tank arsenal, some fall short, and you will just be wasting time. The options are from the USA, Germany, USSR, Great Britain, Sweden, China, Japan, Italy, and France.

10. Japan

Pros:

  • Mid-BR Tanks have good cannons.
  • Some Tanks are great.

Cons:

  • Tanks have poor armor, especially in low-mid BR.
  • Low BR tanks are some of the worst in the game.
  • Tanks are slow
  • Tanks are poorly armed in most cases.
  • Tanks have a boxy shape, so they ricochet fewer shots.
  • Mediocre Close Air Support.
  • Very Tough Learning Curve.

Notable Tanks:

  • Type 10
  • Chi-Ri II

Starting with the worst, Japanese tanks have poor armor, which deters them from being in the front. However, they get access to good cannons up through mid-BR, making them suitable for a support role. Still, compared to the versatility that most other nations possess, Japan is by far the weakest of them when it comes to tanks.

9. France

Pros:

  • Good Armor
  • Has one of the most, if not the most, hard-to-destroy tanks in the game
  • Good close air support, thanks to the American planes in their tech tree
  • Tanks emphasize auto-loading, so you can fire off shots consecutively relatively quickly with certain tanks.
  • Tanks have turrets, which makes it hard for enemies to exploit weak points
  • Great selection of light tanks
  • Tanks are versatile and support many different playstyles.

Cons:

  • Inaccurate guns
  • Native cannons on lower BR have poor penetration and poor damage after penetration
  • Very limited ammo options
  • Not a lot of tanks in low-mid BR.
  • Low-tier tanks are very poor compared to those of other nations.
  • There are no tanks between 3.7 and 4.7 BR except one Anti-Air Tank. Therefore, it is hard to progress in the mid-BR.
  • Reload Speed after auto-loaded ammo runs out is horribly slow

Notable Tanks:

  • AMX 13
  • AMX 30
  • M4 Sherman
  • B1 Ter (Premium)
  • AMX 30 Super (Premium)

French Tanks have great all-rounder tanks and some extremely scary tanks at high BRs. But they are held back by a lack of good options in low-mid BR, which repels some players. On the other hand, other better all-around options in this game offer more.

8. Italy

Pros:

  • Very fast vehicles.
  • Many advanced vehicles early in the tech tree.
  • Great for capturing points and flanking due to their high mobility
  • Good amount of American and German tanks in their tech tree.
  • Excels in Urban maps thanks to a good number of wheeled vehicles.
  • Mid-High BR has good close air support.

Cons:

  • Limited effectiveness in the frontline due to their light armor.
  • Lack of ammo options at low-mid BR.
  • Their main vehicles are very fragile.
  • Italy’s vehicles are poor in off-road situations as most of them are wheeled.
  • Some higher BR tanks have mediocre armor penetration.

Notable Tanks:

  • Ariete
  • Semovente 105/25
  • M26A4

Italian tanks offer some of the fastest vehicles in the game at the cost of having poor armor. Thus, this nation is suitable for those who like being glass cannons. Italian tanks excel in urban maps with many buildings and roads, bringing their flanking capabilities to the forefront.

While Italian tanks can be very deadly in the right hands, it does not allow the freedom of different playstyles that the nations ranked higher do. As such, Italian tank lineups tend to be one-dimensional.

7. Israel

Pros:

  • Has one of four tanks that can oneshot with a hardkill Active Protection Systems
  • Lower BR tanks have guided bombs
  • Good mix of British and American tanks
  • Tanks are fast
  • Tanks like the Sho’t Kal Alef come equipped with features like stabilizers for firing on the move and night vision for improved performance in specific situations.

Cons:

  • Lacks a viable light tank
  • The best tanks have very slow reloads
  • Not a single anti air option below 8.0 BR
  • Extremely high repair costs
  • Limited options at higher tiers
  • Dominated by medium tanks

Notable Tanks:

  • Merkava Mk.4M
  • Sho’t Kal Alef

Israel is a newer nation in War Thunder and begins at Tier 4. However, you will need to reach rank III/IV on the US and the UK. Thus, while the Israel has some good options, it is simply not worth it to grind, especially due to the high repair costs, when compared to nations such as the Big 3 (US, Germany, USSR). Outside the Big 3. other nations offer more varied playstyles and diverse options when compared to Israel.

6. China

Pros:

  • Ability to have both US and Soviet tanks in the same lineup.
  • Combines the best tanks of the US and the USSR into one Tech Tree.
  • Excellent Close Air Support.
  • Extremely Beginner Friendly, as it has easy to use tanks from both the USA and the USSR.

Cons:

  • Most of their tanks are copied from the US and USSR, therefore they lack uniqueness before reaching high BR.
  • Most Top tier tanks are substantially weaker than the top tier tanks of other nations.
  • High BR tanks lack ammo options.

Notable Tanks:

  • ZTZ99-III
  • T-34-85
  • M48A1

China lacks any uniqueness when it comes to tanks. However, they have a few commendable tanks at the top tier. But the grind is not worth it. Moreover, their lineup is an exact copy of other Nations until you reach higher BRs.

That being said, China’s lineup is a combination of the strongest tanks that the USA and the USSR have to offer, giving the best of both worlds to players who can’t decide between the two superpowers. Therefore, the Chinese tech tree is one of the more versatile ones in the game. However, a lack of options, especially at High BRs, holds this nation back from being at the top tiers.

5. Sweden

Pros:

  • Very early access to Sabot Rounds, which can penetrate nearly any tank in game quite easily
  • Great Defensively, especially at high tiers.
  • One of the best high-tier light tanks

Cons:

  • Tough learning curve
  • At Low-tier, tanks use the same cannon
  • Does not have a diverse range of tanks
  • The shapes of most Swedish tanks make them difficult to maneuver.
  • Not very beginner-friendly

Notable Tanks:

  • Stridsvagn 101
  • CV-90120

Sweden is a prime choice for players who prefer to go defensive. This is not because Swedish tanks have very high defense. Rather, they have great speed and shot power with their limited but unique choices of tanks in their tech trees, which allows them to defend their weak points and flanks effectively.

Use Sweden’s tanks to ambush enemies, and perform deadly hit-and-run tactics. This is especially useful against heavier and slower tanks.

4. Great Britain

Pros:

  • Great frontal armor
  • Cannons fire relatively fast
  • Very Good in defensive roles
  • Has one of the best close-air support
  • Early access to Sabot Rounds
  • Good variety of tanks that fit different roles
  • Easy to use

Cons:

  • Most British Tanks are fairly slow and do not have enough armor to compensate
  • Does not have very effective heavy tanks
  • Slow Turret Reverse

Notable Tanks:

  • Black Night
  • Conway
  • Vickers Mk.3
  • Challenger_Mk.3

Great Britain has one of the largest tech trees in War Thunder. Therefore, it gives you different options to play with. But they often rely on solid shotshells, which means you need to have a good aim for the weakness if you want quick takedowns.

All in all Tanks of Great Britain has a lot of options to choose from, with a total of 88 tanks in their tech tree. They can be used for support, capturing positions, and other tactical advances. This also means they require a bit of grinding to get to the best tanks. Hence this is preferred more by experienced players of the game.

3. Germany

Pros:

  • Some of the most accurate and highest-velocity guns
  • Heavier tanks are deceptively fast
  • Lots of Tank Destroyer options
  • Lots of Medium and Heavy Tanks
  • All Tanks are very versatile
  • Great close air support
  • Great armor
  • Arguably the best optics in the game
  • Great ammo options
  • A lot of German tanks have an anti-air turret

Cons:

  • No true light tanks beyond low tiers,
  • Most German tanks are on the heavier side, therefore they lack the mobility of other nations

Notable Tanks:

  • RU 251
  • Waffentrager
  • Leopard 2
  • Maus

German tanks pack some of the heaviest punches in the game. Furthermore, their expanded research tree of 125 vehicles means you can always switch up your style and still dominate the battlefield. A prime example is the Tiger tanks.

The German lineup also offers powerful and large cannons that can one-shot enemies or at least deliver tremendous damage. No matter what size they are.

The downside of German armored vehicles is that their mid-tier lacks strong armor and is slower, which is compensated by higher maneuverability. Players also have to practice and learn how to position their tanks perfectly to ricochet enemy cannons and reduce damage taken. This is because of their slopeless shape. This takes a bit of practice.

Germany is a good choice for those who really want to live up to the ‘tank’ name.

2. USSR

Pros:

  • Best Armor out of the Big 3 (USA, USSR, Germany)
  • Powerful cannons
  • Has a Sloped Armor, which makes them hard to destroy from the front, especially at low tiers.
  • Great Versatility
  • The T-34 is the counterpart to the American Sherman but with more than two cannon options
  • Decent Speed, especially for their Armor
  • Can fill all sorts of roles
  • Very good close air support
  • Great for beginners
  • Some of the best premium tanks

Cons:

  • Very slow reloads, especially on tanks with large cannons
  • Tanks are not very accurate at long-range
  • Tanks are quite sluggish
  • Less crew than other nations

Notable Tanks:

  • T-72AV (TURMS-T)
  • T-34-85
  • IT-1
  • Object 120 (Premium)
  • T-44 122 (Premium)

Tanks of the USSR are aggressive, fast, and powerful, but most importantly, they will never fail you. The USSR’s tank tech tree offers tanks for all types of gameplay in a balanced way, and each of their armored vehicles excels at its purpose.

Anti-air, anti-tank, light, medium, heavy – you can ride them all. Their attacking options, as well as their defending and movement capabilities, allow you to excel in any situation, whether you’re defending a point, capturing a point, or even flanking enemies.

USSR’s all-around gameplay makes it a perfect choice for newbies.

1. USA

Pros:

  • Good Armor
  • Good Firepower
  • Light Tanks are exceptionally mobile, while other tanks have decent mobility, too.
  • Most tanks don’t have too many flaws
  • Shermans usually have stabilizers that allows you to fire accurately at long ranges while moving.
  • Tanks from mid-tier onwards have armor-piercing high explosive ammo.
  • Lots of Light Tanks compared to other countries
  • Mid Tier has a lot of Medium Tanks.
  • Has overall great versatility.
  • Best nation for beginners

Cons:

  • No true heavy tanks in the low-mid tiers
  • Higher tiers lack a good lineup of light tanks

Notable Tanks:

  • M3A1 Stuart (USMC)
  • M24
  • T92
  • M1 Abrams
  • M1A2

US tanks give a lot of freedom to their players. Even at lower tiers, with their solid line-ups. Their balance lets you attack head-on or act as a great support to your teammates. Although USA tank tech trees require a lot of grinding, even lower-tier tanks can hold their own thanks to their considerable firepower and fast, agile movement.

Yes, both the USSR and the USA offer balanced gameplay, but some of the notable tanks the USA possesses take them up a notch. But honestly, you couldn’t go wrong with any of the Big 3, which are the USA, the USSR, and Germany.

Finding the best choice for Anemo can be difficult for some; this best anemo character tier list can help with that.

Anemo is the first element that was introduced to us in Genshin Impact, all the way back into patch 1.00. Since then, there have been a total of 11 anemo characters in the game, with the latest being Lynette in patch 4.1.

New additions to this element are bound to happen sooner or later, so players, especially new ones, can get caught up to wonder what is the best anemo character that they should build.

And that is exactly what this tier list is all about. In this Genshin Impact tier list, I will rank all the characters from Anemo, and there will be a main tier list along with sub-tier lists that will cover different aspects & roles and rank the characters according to those said requirements.

Read more: Genshin Impact: Best DPS Characters Tier-List

I have used spiral abyss data, my personal experience & overall community feedback on these characters.

Tier-list & Ranking Explained

Take a look at the following to understand my reasoning behind each tier:

TierDescription
SSCharacters placed in this tier are meta-defining. They are being used in the spiral abyss by the majority of players and offer unique mechanics, support & DPS potential than any other, making them a game changer if you can use them in your teams.
SThe S-tier is for characters that excel extremely in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta. But some cons hold them back from getting to the SS tier. Like having a constellation requirement or High DPS & low support potential or vice versa or not being versatile enough to be effective in every type of spiral abyss run.
AA tier is a place for characters with excellent DPS or Support qualities but only excel at one role perfectly or aren’t versatile enough to be used varietally.
BThis tier is dedicated to characters that will require good investments and offer better performance with constellations. They are a standard choice at C0 but truly shine at C6 with proper gears.
The characters in this tier list are able to provide good support or DPS output in most combat scenarios.
CCharacters in the C tier don’t have the best mechanics and do not have many team synergies. Their damage and support output is decent but nothing meta-defining, but with heavy investments and specific team comps, they can hold out a decent performance.
DThis tier is for characters that offer a standard damage and support output, which can easily be neglected as there are better alternatives in the game.

Best Anemo Characters in Genshin Impact

Here’s my pick on the best anemo characters currently available in Genshin Impact:

Best SupportsFaruzan, Bennet, Xiangling, Xingqui, Fischl
Team RoleBurst DPS/Driver
Artifacts4-piece Viridescent Venerer
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Crit-Rate, Crit Damage
Quick Build Guide: Traveler (Anemo)

Ranking 11th on the overall list, Anemo Traveler is on the D tier due to their lack of damage and support capabilities.

It is not the fact that the anemo traveler is extremely weak, and you can’t build a good team around him/her. The other anemo options are simply better.

But for small groups of enemies, his elemental Skill and burst can be quite effective, especially if you are in the early game and don’t have enough anemo units at your disposal.

That is why anemo traveler is suited for a driver or burst support role at best. Going with the national team or any variations of it while equipped with the Viridescent Venerer artifact piece is going to provide the best results.

Pros

  • F2P friendly
  • Constellations are obtained from Archon Quests
  • Provides resistance shred at C6
  • Offers crowd control
  • Good Viridescent Venerer applicator

Cons

  • Long cooldown time on Skill & burst
  • Low damage multipliers
  • Negligible crowd control abilities

10. Sayu

Artifacts4-piece Noblesse Oblige
Stat PriorityHP, HP percent
Quick Build Guide: Sayu

Next up on the list is Sayu, ranked at number 10. She is in the C tier, in my opinion, as while she fills the role of a healer decently, she doesn’t provide any significant buff, nor does she offer good overall damage through her Skill or burst.

Sayu can be a very exciting and important unit when it comes to over-world exploration and material gathering. Her passive Skill allows her party to receive zero hostile treatment from animals. This becomes extremely helpful when you are roaming around the world to catch crystal flies, butterflies, and frogs.

But she shines the most when you are exploring as her elemental Skill will allow you to roll around at high speed without consuming any stamina for 10 seconds, but it will come with a cooldown cost of 11 seconds.

She is a versatile option when it comes to team building, as there aren’t any specific teams catered for her. But due to her having long cooldowns and high burst cost, pairing her up with another anemo unit is the best option out there.

You should play her as a burst support, meaning building up her burst with your character rotations and executing it with proper timing.

Her burst offers AoE healing for your team and also deals swirl damage, but it isn’t as effective as other anemo characters that you should put Viridescent Venerer and hopes for the resistance shred. Due to these reasons, she is ranked low in this tier list.

That being said, when it comes to in-game exploration, she is placed in the SS tier without any doubt.

Pros

  • The best character for exploration
  • AoE healer & Swirl damage dealer
  • Great exploration passive

Cons

  • Low damage potential
  • Requires constellations for best healing effect
  • Very long cooldown on elemental Skill

9. Venti

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsFaruzan, Bennet
Team RoleBurst DPS/Driver
Artifacts4-piece Viridescent Venerer
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, ER, Crit-Rate, Crit Damage
Quick Build Guide: Venti

Ranking at number 9 and placed in the B tier is Venti. Now, you are probably blown away seeing the Anemo archon himself placed so low in this tier list, but Venti isn’t the all-powerful god that he used to be.

Like losing his gnosis, Venti came down from being the go-to Anemo driver/enabler/support to a decent option for those who don’t have better support units.

One of the biggest reasons for this shift is due to the change in enemies in Genshin Impact. Back in patch 1.00, on Genshin’s release, Venti was able to group every enemy in the game with his burst. Combined with the elemental resistance shred from Viridescent Venerer piece, it made Venti unstoppable.

There was no other anemo unit in the game that could group enemies as effectively as Venti. But as new patches start to come out, the enemy’s weight and size increased, and Venti couldn’t group the enemies the way he could. His crowd control is still quite effective but not as good.

Another fact that made him a difficult choice is that he would group small enemies in the air, so if your DPS can’t reach that zone, then you are losing out on a lot of damage.

And apart from the resistance shred from Viridescent Venerer, and Venti doesn’t provide any additional debuff to your opponent or buff to your team like Kazuha or Sucrose.

But he still is a strong 5-star anemo unit that can group small to mid-sized enemies, offers good damage with his elemental Skill, and has passives that can improve your exploration. His personal damage also increases with constellations.

Venti plays the role of burst support and enabler in a team. So, pairing him up with an elemental-focused team is the best option. He works exceptionally well in freeze comps as well.

Pros

  • Great crowd control
  • Good exploration passive
  • Works as an anemo battery
  • Versatile weapon options
  • Don’t require too much investment

Cons

  • Can’t lift up heavy enemies
  • Groups enemies in an elevated position that some character attacks can’t reach.

8. Lynette

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsFaruzan, Bennet

Artifacts4-piece Viridescent Venerer/Noblesse Oblige
Stat PriorityCrit-Rate, Crit Damage, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Lynette

The first Fontane 4-star that we are able to gain in the game is none other than Lynette. This magic assistant is not only a great support character but also completes the role of a support DPS, which is why she is at B tier, securing the 8th position on this list.

Lynette’s kit also allows her to be an effective explorer in your team. The hold version of her elemental Skill allows you to run over surfaces without costing stamina, which is quite similar to how Yelan’s elemental skill works.

Not only that, but if you are struggling with the new Fontaine boss battles, then Lynette’s pneuma attacks can’t be quite effective. Her elemental burst reacts to any other corresponding elements and does DoT. Furthermore, her passive also increases her party member’s ATK up to 20%

Her constellations also improve both her support and personal damage, so it can be a good investment for the future as well. You can place her in multiple team comps.

She fits the driver role perfectly and can be used as a burst DPS/driver or as a support. Just make sure to have more than 1, preferably 2 different elements in your team comp for maximum damage impact.

Pros

  • Good for world exploration
  • Offers mobility in combat
  • Good burst damage
  • Provides passive buff to the team
  • Don’t require high investment both weapon & artifact-wise

Cons

  • Quite high energy requirement & cooldown cost
  • ATK buff depends on the number of different elements in the team
  • Elemental Skill has an HP consumption mechanic

7. Heizou

Artifacts– 4-piece Viridescent Venerer
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Viridescent Venerer
Stat PriorityCrit-Rate, Crit Damage, Elemental Mastery
Quick Build Guide: Heizou

Ranked 7th placed and in the B tier is Heizou. He is the first male catalyst user in the game who quite literally blows away his enemies with his fists. Heizou is able to fill multiple roles in a team comp. He can be the main DPS on field enable or burst support, depending on your preferred playstyle.

I prefer to use him as on-field DPS with a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer paired with good elemental support. This allows Heizou to decrease the resistance of his enemies easily and land them with devastating blows.

You can also put him up as your burst support as his burst has a very good multiplier, and his passive talent also allows him to provide elemental mastery buff to his teammates.

He shines quite well in the National Team or any other element-focused teams. His effectiveness with the Dendro element is still a bit meek, but otherwise, he is a good 4-star anemo DPS/Support that you shouldn’t ignore.

Pros

  • Very strong anemo DPS
  • Can be used as a burst support
  • Provides elemental mastery buff
  • Versatile team comps
  • Very high damage multipliers
  • Have excellent 4 star & 5 star weapon options

Cons

  • Requires a shielder in the team
  • Needs good investment in artifact stats

6. Sucrose

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsFaruzan, Bennet
Team RoleBurst Support/Driver
Artifacts– 4-piece Viridescent Venerer
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery
Quick Build Guide: Sucrose

The last character belonging to the B tier and placed at rank 6 is none other than Sucrose. She is one of the earliest characters released in Genshin Impact, and her kit is all about providing the maximum support and damage buff to her team.

Sucrose significantly increases the overall elemental mastery of your party. That’s why many players try to stack as much elemental mastery as possible on her. Pair that up with Viridescent Venerer, and you get magnificent elemental support.

But that is not all. Due to Sucrose being a catalyst user, she is able to use ‘Thrilling Tales of Dragonslayers,’ a catalyst that can boost your ATK percent up to 48%.

Also, her crowd control ability from both burst and elemental Skill is also rare. What’s more, unlike Venti, all of her opponents get grouped on the surface, not in the air, which allows all the attacks from your other supports and DPS to hit without any issue.

Due to all of these factors, there are many who compare this shy alchemist to a 5-star in a 4-star disguise. You can also build your Sucrose as a main DPS, but that will require a lot of dedication toward getting the best stats for each artifact on her.

Pros

  • High elemental mastery buffs
  • Good crowd control
  • Can wield Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
  • Good 4-piece Viridescent Venerer option
  • Very strong burst damage
  • It is a good pick for any elemental damage-focused team

Cons

  • Movement & and pacing is quite slow, especially for normal attacks
  • High energy cost burst
  • Will require practice to optimally time her burst

– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
Stat PriorityCrit-Rate, Crit Damage, HP
Quick Build Guide: Jean

The current grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius is up next, and she is ranked 5th on this list and belongs to the A tier.

Jean is a great choice if you are looking for an Anemo support who will not only fill the role of Viridescent Venerer damage shredder but will also provide healing and good burst damage.

Her elemental burst opens up an AoE that will instantly and gradually heal your character during its active period. That is not all, and her burst will also cleanse any effect on the party.

Jean’s elemental Skill allows her to group her enemies and throw them up in the air. Once they are up in the air, they will take fall damage when they hit the ground. This fall damage doesn’t depend on Jean’s level. It’s quite a fun mechanic to play around with.

As she fills multiple support roles, Jean is a versatile option that will boost the damage and effectiveness of any team. Her constellations also support her in these roles. That’s why she is arguably the best character you can get in the standard banner after Mona.

Pros

  • Good support
  • Fills both the role of healer & driver
  • High-damage burst multipliers
  • Various artifact options
  • Decent swirling capabilities
  • Good constellations

Cons

  • The normal attack follows push-back mechanics that can disrupt rotations
  • Very high cooldown on the elemental burst
  • Can’t swirl heavy enemies
  • The best support passive is locked behind constellation (C4)

Quick Build Guide: Faruzan

The state of Anemo DPS forever changed when Faruzan was introduced. Before her, there wasn’t any dedicated Anemo support, and I believe MiHoyo will have to do something big for Anemo if they want to top her performance.

Faruzan not only increases the Anemo damage of her party but will also provide Crit Damage buff and swirl on every anemo hit. But most of her exquisite support capabilities are locked under constellations.

She also has some of the biggest energy recharge requirements in the game. But that also improves when you start to unlock her constellations. At C6, Faruzan becomes a 5-star unit that will drastically increase your Anemo DPS outputs. That is why she belongs in the S tier and is ranked 4th in this best anemo character tier list.

Pros

  • Best support character for the anemo element
  • Very good constellations
  • Good crowd control

Cons

  • Constellation dependent
  • High energy requirement
  • Only viable for anemo units

3. Xiao

– 2-piece Vermillion Hereafter + 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale
– 2-piece Viridescent Venerer + 2-piece Vermillion Hereafter
Stat PriorityCrit-Rate, Crit Damage, ATK, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Xiao

Regarded as one of the best DPS characters ever released in Genshin Impact, Xiao has been the only dedicated Anemo DPS until the release of Wanderer. The Conqueror of Demons is capable of dashing out high damage numbers with his plunge attacks when he dawns the Yaksha mask in his elemental burst.

His elemental skills also offer good damage multipliers. Xiao is a selfish DPS, so he needs support to help him get his burst back up as soon as possible. When running Xiao in your team, you will need to have a shielder or healer or both.

This is because when his burst is active, he will start to lose HP over time, and he is also quite vulnerable, so he needs proper protection if you want to deal damage with him.

His constellations aren’t that good, but his C6 completely transforms him into a different character.

But all of his cons can be forgotten when you see the damage numbers start to pop up on your screen. With proper investment, you should able to do 70k to 100k damage per plunge with your Xiao.

For that reason, I regard him as one of the best characters from Anemo and have placed him in the 3rd position and at the S tier.

Pros

  • One of the strongest characters in the game
  • Extremely high damage multipliers
  • Unique playstyle
  • Good burst uptime

Cons

  • Requires dedicated supports
  • HP drain mechanic
  • Heavy energy cost
  • Bad constellations
  • No decent 4-star weapon option

2. Wanderer

– 2-piece Vermillion Hereafter + 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale
– 2-piece Viridescent Venerer + 2-piece Vermillion Hereafter
Stat PriorityCrit-Rate, Crit Damage, ATK
Quick Build Guide: Wanderer

Wanderer took the crown as the best anemo DPS from Xiao upon his release back in patch 3.3. Fatui characters are always exciting in Genshin, and Wanderer is no different. His elemental Skill allows you to dish out massive, fast-paced anemo damage, and his elemental burst offers very high multipliers.

The cooldown for both his Skill and burst is very short, and the energy requirement isn’t that high either. What’s more, you have very good 4-star weapons that may even outmatch some of the 5-stars out there.

He is also exceptionally good at exploration, as his elemental Skill allows him to fly. You can also name him whatever you want, as long as it follows Genshin’s rules & restrictions.

The constellations of Wanderer are also quite good. Due to all of these positives, he belongs in the S tier, and I have placed him second on this list.

Pros

  • Highly effective main DPS
  • Fast-paced attacks
  • Excellent damage multipliers in normal, charged, elemental Skill & burst
  • Good constellations
  • Various 4 star & 5 star weapon options

Cons

  • Easily interrupted without a shield
  • Needs good artifact stats

1. Kazuha

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsBennet
Team RoleSupport/Burst DPS/Driver
Artifacts4-piece Viridescent Venerer
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Crit-Rate, Crit Damage
Quick Build Guide: Kazuha

When it comes to Anemo, there isn’t any other character that is as loved or as combat-effective as Kazuha. This traveling samurai has it all. From damage buff to world exploration, he offers it all.

Primarily played as a support/driver, Kazuha easily shreds through the opponent’s defense & resistance and offers an elemental mastery buff to everyone in the party. With a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer equipped, you will be able to perform double swirl with Kazuha, making element resistance shred work all at the same time.

Moreover, his elemental Skill and burst both have good multipliers, and when you level up his normal attacks, his plunge damage will take care of small mobs of enemies with ease.

Kazuha is also one of the few characters in Genshin Impact that can perform mid-air elemental skill deployment. This allows Kazuha to reach great distances without losing stamina and momentum.

You can fit Kazuha into any team, and he will fit right in. Due to this versatility, high damage support, personal damage multipliers, and overall expertise, I have picked Kazuha in the SS tier and placed him at the top of this best anemo character tier list.

Pros

  • Arguably the best support in the game
  • Provides elemental buff & defense shred
  • Extremely high swirl damage
  • Great crowd control ability
  • A versatile character that can be placed on any team

Cons

  • Swirling the right element might require a bit of practice

Spiral Abyss can be difficult without proper characters. Take a look at the best characters to use on Spiral Abyss and build your team.

When it comes to End Game in Genshin Impact, there is no other option than Spiral Abyss. It is the current hardest content in the game, and it seems like miHoYo isn’t that keen to add other gameplay options anytime soon.

Read more: Genshin Impact: Best DPS Characters Tier-List

Completing Spiral Abyss also allows you to collect 600 primogems in every abyssal moon phase, so it’s a good feature for players to try out their best characters and get all twelve stars in Spiral Abyss.

But doing that can be quite difficult if you don’t have the proper builds and characters. Finding the best characters to use on Spiral Abyss can be a difficult task. I struggled a lot at first because I didn’t have the right support or sub-DPSs.

Spiral Abyss is ever-changing and is the META. Therefore, the DPS characters that are popular now might not be in the future (Ex. Diluc).

But there are certain support and sub-DPS units that won’t lose their significance no matter how big the META shifts are.

In this guide, I will discuss those units that I think are the best characters to use on Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact based on the latest abyss usage data and my personal experience with them.

Tier-list & Ranking Explained

Take a look at the following to understand my reasoning behind each tier:

TierDescription
SSCharacters placed in this tier are meta-defining. Most players use them in the spiral abyss, and they offer more unique mechanics, support & DPS potential than any other, making them a game changer if you can use them in your teams.
SThe S-tier is for characters that excel in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta.

Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Xiangling

One of the first 4-star characters you get in the game, Xiangling has been part of the Spiral Abyss META ever since day 1 of Genshin Impact. She fills the role of a sub-DPS & driver.

She is quite good without any constellations, but once you unlock her C6, she starts to build up more damage. Xiangling National Team is arguably one of the most effective ones in the game, and you don’t need to invest many primogems or resources in her to be useful.

She is number 10 on this list and placed on the C tier, considering the usage rate, damage difference from C0 to C6, and combat mechanics.

Pros

  • Good burst damage with long duration
  • Flexible and suited for most team comps
  • Gets better with constellations

Cons

  • Gouba’s pyro application is a hit or miss

Kuki Shinobu

– 4-piece Noblese Oblige
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Kuki Shinobu

When it comes to glow-up in Genshin Impact, you must point to Kuki Shinobu. Before the release of Dendro, she was one of the least-picked characters in the Genshin META, but now she is frequently placed in Dendro comps that require a driver for those quick reactions.

She can apply electro effortlessly to opponents from both her elemental skill and burst. Moreover, her burst will heal your party significantly if you can utilize it properly.

Furthermore, she only gets better as you unlock her constellations. And the community seems to agree as well. That’s why she is ranked at 9 and belongs to the B tier right now!

Pros

  • The best 4 star option for Quicken teams
  • Offers both healing and electro-application
  • Easy to build

Cons

  • Losses HP before healing
  • Only highly effective in Dendro comps

Baizu

Stat PriorityHP, HP%, Energy Recharge, elemental Mastery
Quick Build Guide: Baizu

Placed at the B tier and 8th on this list of the best characters to use on Spiral Abyss is Baizu. This 5-star Dendro unit will fill two roles in your team. His primary role is being a healer (He’s a doctor) and providing valuable Dendro Applications to your team.

He is an effective driver, but if you want to fill the support role, you can add the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayer as his weapon. This will provide a 48% (If you have R5) ATK% bonus to the character you switch to after Baizu.

Pros

  • Offers shield and healing
  • Heals the entire party
  • Can play the role of Dendro driver

Cons

  • Attack animation is sluggish and slow

Kokomi

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Kokomi

– 2-Maiden’ Beloved + 2-piece Tenacity of the Millilith
– 4-Maiden’s Beloved
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Kokomi

Kokomi is arguably the best healer in the game. She can be used in various team comps and acts as a driver and passive buffer through her elemental skills and proper artifact placement.

Moreover, her burst extends the duration of her elemental skill if you can time it right, resulting in you having no cooldown on her elemental skill. She can also save your team with her burst and take the field while she is healing everyone (including herself).

Like Baizu, she also fills the buffer role with the help of Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayer. But her buffs don’t stop there, as you can use the Millilith artifact set to boost her buffing capabilities further. With all these usefulness, she is placed in the B tier, taking the 7th place.

Pros

  • One of the best healers in the game
  • Great hydro applicator
  • Suitable for almost every team comp that needs Hydro

Cons

  • Comes with -100% crit rate

Bennet

Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Crimson Witch
– 4-piece Crimson Witch
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, HP, HP%
Quick Build Guide: Bennet

If you have been playing Genshin Impact even for a little bit, you know how good of a unit Bennet is. Not only does he offer massive healing, but he significantly buffs your party members with his elemental burst.

Inside his burst, he also becomes a highly effective buffer as it shortens the duration of his elemental skill recharge. His burst also has very high scaling, and you can play him as a burst support as well with the right artifact placements.

He will also play the role of Noblesse support in your team, allowing you to make space for other passive-boosting artifact users. Due to all these stats, Bennet is placed in the 6th place, securing the A tier on this list of best characters.

Pros

  • The best ATK buffer in the game
  • Heals the entire party
  • Comes with good burst damage multipliers

Cons

  • Doesn’t heal a character to 100% HP

Xingqiu

– 4-piece Noblises Oblige
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Xingqiu

Xingqiu is next in A tier and 5th in this list of best characters for Spiral Abyss. He plays the role of Sub-DPS, Driver. Burst- Support & healer in a team. Both his elemental skill and burst will heal your character upon usage and application of hydro.

The damage scaling for both is also quite high, making him ideal for all hydro-based reactions. His constellations improve his effectiveness significantly.

When paired with the right artifacts and weapons, he becomes one of the great supports in the game. You may have to invest a bit more resin & mora for him, but all of it is worth the trouble!

Pros

  • Offers damage negator and healing
  • One of the best hydro applicators
  • Improves significantly at C6

Cons

  • True effectiveness is hidden behind constellations

Zhongli

– 4-piece Archaic Petra
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Retracing Bolide
– 4-piece Retracing Bolide
Stat PriorityHP, HP percent, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Zhongli

The Geo Archon has been dominant in Spiral Abyss since his initial release. His elemental skill allows you to deal passive damage (especially with the 4-piece Millilith artifact set) and provides your active characters with the strongest shield in the game.

Once you start using Zhongli, you unlock easy mode in Spiral Abyss, as you will be able to withstand most attacks, and the downtime of his elemental skill isn’t that long, either.

That’s not all; his burst can petrify almost every enemy in the game (except for bosses) and offers extremely high scaling. So, in offense and defense, Zhongli is the perfect balance between both of them. This is the reason why he is in the 4th place, right at the top of the A tier.

Pros

  • Best shield in the game
  • Provides resistance shred
  • Petrifies enemies with burst

Cons

  • Don’t have dedicated weapons

– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Heart of Depth
– 4-Heart of Depth
Stat PriorityHP, HP% Crit Rate/Crit Damage, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Yelan

One of the characters that has been part of the top 10 list of every Spiral Abyss chart upon their release is Yelan. She is a 5-star bow-based Hydro unit that offers extremely high damage with her elemental skill, burst, and even normal attacks.

She can be played as the main unit, driver, burst DPS, and sub-DPS. At C0, she fills the support role more than the role of a main DPS. That being said, if you have the right artifacts and good team comps, then she is lethal even at C0 as a main DPS.

Due to her versatility and effectiveness, she is 3rd on this list and placed in the S tier.

Pros

  • The most versatile character in the game
  • Good DPS but even greater support
  • Improves significantly at C6

Cons

Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsBennet
Team RoleSupport/Burst DPS/Driver
Artifacts4-piece Viridescent Venier
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Crit-Rate, Crit Damage
Quick Build Guide: Kazuha

Arguably the best character in Genshin Impact, Kazuha has been one of the hottest picks in Spiral Abyss since he was released. This is due to the fact that Kazuha is able to use a 4-piece Viridescent Venerer artifact set on both his elemental skill and burst.

His kit also boosts your elemental mastery and effectiveness, so you can make more reaction-based damages than ever. Along with the high scaling of his burst & skill, Kazuha easily takes the 2nd place and the SS tier in my list.

Pros

  • Invaluable in any elemental teams
  • Good for explorations
  • Provides both buffs to your character and debuff to the enemies

Cons

  • C2 improves the character significantly

Nahida

– 4-piece Gilded Dreams
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Nahida

Dendro is still the META of Genshin Impact, and the character who rules this element is Nahida. She can change the damage output of a decent Dendro team to overwhelming in seconds. That is why she is adored by everyone who is running a Dendro comp in the Spiral Abyss.

With insane damage-increasing capabilities and overwhelming cuteness (have you seen her quest?!), she sits at the top of the SS tier and is the no. 1 in this list of the best characters to use in Spiral Abyss.

Pros

  • Best Dendro buffer
  • Good for over-world exploration
  • F2P friendly

Cons

  • Burst offers no damage only buffs Dendro reactions

Geo is back in Genshin Meta, and it’s high time to build Geo Characters. This Genshin Impact Geo Characters Tier list will help you with that.

Among the seven elements in Genshin Impact, Geo seems to be the most niche due to the lack of reaction-based damage you can do with this element. Geo characters are often regarded in a support role or require heavy investments that many players tend to ignore, building around this element apart from some exceptions.

But with the release of Fontaine and new characters like Navia coming to the game, Geo is getting a rebuff with new artifact sets and team comps. That’s why if you want to build your Geo characters, then now is the right time to do so.

In this tier list, I’ve ranked the currently available 8 Geo characters based on their kit, DPS & support capabilities, spiral abyss usage rate, and my personal experience with them. Keep in mind that this ranking may change once the new artifact set & Navia is released in the game at version 4.3.

The Genshin Impact meta is constantly shifting, and Geo is overdue for some attention from miHoYo. So, if you want a new experience in Spiral Abyss & overall game content, then I recommend you follow this guide and give Geo a try!

BThis tier is dedicated to characters requiring good investments and offering better performance with constellations.

Best Geo Characters Patch 4.3

Top 8 Geo Characters in Genshin Impact Ranked

Here is my pick for the best geo characters in Genshin Impact till patch 4.2:

9. Traveler

Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 2.8%

Role: Burst DPS, Construct-Support

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsZhongli, Albedo, Ningguang
Artifacts– 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith
– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Archaic Petra
– 4-piece Archaic Petra
Stat PriorityCrit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: traveler (Geo)

Placed at 8th, Traveler plays the role of a versatile Geo sub-DPS in your team. He can also act as a Geo resonance team member who does off-field damage with his geo constructs. Moreover, he is also an excellent addition for over-world exploration with his Geo construct placement.

His elemental Skill allows you to place a Geo construct on the field, and you can follow that one up with another two after your skill cooldown. You can also aim the constructs by holding your elemental skill button. This becomes especially useful when you are out exploring the world.

Geo traveler’s elemental burst is an AoE attack that will create a geo-construct cage where you can trap your enemies. This also does DOT (Damage over Time).

The constellations on Geo Traveler are also decent and offer a good damage increase when you reach c6. As you receive the constellations through Archon quests, it shouldn’t be a problem for any players to get them fast and quickly.

But the overall kit for Geo traveler is clunky. There aren’t any dedicated artifact sets that you can use to pump up the damage, and while the support capabilities are good, they aren’t great, and there are far better options.

Team synergies are also an issue with this character. Yes, you can put him in almost any team, but you won’t be able to reach the full potential of your main DPS with Geo traveler as your primary support.

He hardly synergizes with other characters except for Zhongli & Albedo. If you have these two on your team, you don’t need Geo Traveler and can opt for better characters that benefit from their kits.

That’s why he is placed at the D tier in this Best Geo Character tier list.

Pros

  • F2P friendly
  • Constellations can be obtained through archon quests
  • Can be used in various team comps
  • Good for over-world exploration
  • Burst can lock enemy movement to a certain radius

Cons

  • While Traveler is a versatile unit, his effectiveness in most team comps isn’t that effective.
  • Doesn’t offer a significant damage boost as a support
  • Requires high investment support characters to be effective

8. Yun Jin

Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 0.7%

Role: Support, Normal Attack Buffer, Burst Support

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsGorou, Albedo
Artifacts– 4-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams
– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
Stat PriorityDEF, DEF percent, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: YunJin

In 7th place is Yun Jin. This opera singer from Liyue plays the normal and charge attack damage buffer role in the Genshin Impact meta. She is a decent unit if you are looking for a normal attack boost.

Other than that, her kit can be lackluster as there isn’t much going on in the first place. A unique mechanic of Yun Jin’s kit is her elemental Skill that can offer you a full counter if you can time it right.

Her normal attack buff comes from her elemental burst, which scales with the amount of defense/DEF stat she has. This makes her quite easy to build, as Genshin’s artifact RNG heavily supports DEF stats.

She is ranked at the C tier because she doesn’t play any other role besides burst support that boosts normal & charge attack damage.

Pros

  • Easy to build with minimal resource requirement
  • DEF stat focus character
  • Can counter enemy attacks
  • Boost normal & charge attack damage of other characters

Cons

  • Works only with characters focused on normal attack
  • Doesn’t offer any sort of support other than normal attack buff
  • Don’t have good team synergies with elemental-focused teams

7. Ningguang

Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 0.1%

Role: Main DPS, Burst DPS, Construct-Support, Geo Damage Buffer

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsZhongli, Albedo, Bennet
Artifacts– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Archaic Petra
– 4-piece Archaic Petra
Stat PriorityCrit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent, ATK
Quick Build Guide: Ningguang

One of the earliest characters in Genshin Impact, Ningguang, was the go-to Geo DPS before the introduction of Itto in the game. She is ranked 6th in this list due to her effectiveness in meta-team comps.

But she is still positioned at B tier due to her effectiveness as both a DPS & Geo support in the game. If you are prepared to commit to a Geo team but don’t want the complexity or have the primos for Itto, then she is the best choice out there.

Ningguang’s elemental Skill creates a passable barrier that blocks upcoming projectile and small to mid-elemental attacks. When a character passes through her barrier, they will get a 12% Geo damage bonus for 10 seconds, which is ideal for her as you can use her burst at that time to boost your DPS.

Her Jade screen or elemental Skill is also counted as a Geo construct, so it will provide DoT if you have other constructs present from other Geo characters.

Pros

  • Easy to build
  • Increases Geo damage bonus of the party
  • Good F2P weapon options
  • Can work with a variety of teams

Cons

  • Requires expensive supports like Zhongli to provide optimal damage output
  • Damage multipliers aren’t on par with the latest characters
  • Needs all constellations to work perfectly as a main DPS

6. Gorou

Best Def Buffer
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 0.8%

Role: Burst Support, Damage Buffer

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsItto, Albedo, Yun Jin
Artifacts– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 4-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams
Stat PriorityDEF, DEF percent, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Gorou

Placed at B tier and ranked 5th on this list is Gorou. If you are looking for dedicated Geo & DEF support, then you can’t go wrong with Gorou.

Both his elemental Skill and burst provide a DEF increase to the party, which is ideal for Geo characters that scale with defense.

Not only that but when you unlock his C6, you will be able to provide additional crit damage to your DPS character. His personal damage isn’t that great, to begin with; otherwise, I would’ve put him higher on the list.

Pros

  • Dedicated Geo support
  • Scales with DEF
  • Simple mechanics

Cons

  • Only suited for Geo teams
  • Don’t have any dedicated weapons
  • Full potential is locked under constellations

5. Noelle

Best Geo 4 star
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 0.4%

Role: Main DPS, Burst DPS, Healer, Shielder

After the release of Furina in version 4.2, Noelle has once again become one of the best choices for a 4-star DPS character in Genshin Impact. Her kit synergizes perfectly with Furina’s HP increase/decrease mechanic, and you will be able to get the most damage out of her when she is on the field. That is why she is placed at 4th on this list.

Noelle was one of the first characters that was introduced to us in Genshin. All of us obtained her in the ‘Beginner Wish’ banner. She is an excellent healer and tank that will help you survive even the toughest of enemies in the game.

Her shield is a key part of her kit, which you can activate by pressing the elemental skill button. This shield will also provide you with heals. To trigger healing, you will have to activate the shield and then go to Noelle’s elemental burst and hit your opponents.

If you can build her properly, then she can be an extremely good burst DPS, too. That is why she is at the top of the B tier in this list. Her playstyle is also simple. Just press the elemental burst and keep on attacking until it runs out of time.

She fills the role of support, tank, burst DPS & primary DPS altogether. That is why Noelle is considered to be one of the best 4-start characters in the game.

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsFurina, Ningguang, Albedo, Zhongli
Artifacts– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Archaic Petra
– 4-piece Archaic Petra
– 4-piece Retracing Bolide
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Retracing Bolide
Stat PriorityCrit Rate/Crit Damage, DEF percent, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Noelle

Pros

  • Can be obtained at the beginning of the game
  • Fills multiple roles
  • Can fit into almost every team comp
  • Has different artifact options
  • Easy to use

Cons

  • Runs into energy issues
  • The kit can be very slow & clunky

4. Albedo

Best Geo Support
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 3.1%

Role: Burst Support, Construct-Support, Geo Particle Generator

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsGorou, Zhongli
Team RoleBurst DPS, Support
Artifacts– 4-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams
– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Golden Troupe
– 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith
Stat PriorityCrit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK/Defense percent, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Albedo

On his initial release, Albedo was considered to be a bad investment by many players. Some said he only gets good with constellations, while others neglected him completely. But now that case is completely different.

With his geo constructs, high passive damage, almost permanently active elemental Skill, and 125 elemental mastery make him a versatile option in almost any team comps out there. So, if you want to fill your team’s flex slot, then Albedo can be your guy.

Albedo also scales with defense, and his best in the slot is actually an event 4-star weapon, ‘Cinnabar Spindle,’ but he can use other 4-star and 5-star options as well.

Pairing him up with another Geo character is the best option, but you can have him in any team and still enjoy loads of passive damage. Due to all of these reasons, I have placed him in the A tier.

Pros

  • Can fit in any team comps
  • Massive passive damage
  • Elemental Skill won’t deplete if used optimally
  • Not reliant on constellations

Cons

  • The best-in-slot weapon was an event-exclusive
  • Summoned Geo construct can be destroyed easily

3. Itto

Best Geo DPS
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 2.9%

Role: Main DPS, Burst DPS

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Normal Attack > Elemental Skill
Best SupportsZhongli, Albedo, Gorou
Artifacts– 4-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Archaic Petra
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Husk of Opulent Dreams
Stat PriorityCrit Rate/Crit Damage, DEF percent, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Itto

The dedicated main DPS of Geo, Arataki Itto, is ranked 2nd in this list and placed at the S tier due to his massive DPS potential. Itto can seem easy to master, but his kit is the most complicated among Genshin Impact characters.

Itto’s damage comes from his elemental burst, which allows him to unleash the power of Oni hidden in him. In this state, you will be able to gain Superlative Superstrength stacks. You will be able to get up to 5 stacks, which will drastically increase your overall damage.

His elemental Skill also offers decent damage multipliers. This Skill summons Ushi, a miniature bull that will distract enemies while you keep on hitting your enemies.

Itto scales with DEF, which makes farming artifacts a bit easier. But if you want to unleash the full power of Itto, then you will have to make a commitment.

The best team for Itto consists of Zhongli, Albedo & C6 Gorou. As you can see, you will have to obtain two limited 5-star characters and 7 Gorous from the banners. Then, there is also the part of building each character from the ground up. So, it’s a big commitment, to say the least.

But once your team is ready, then you will see the numbers fly off as your Itto goes berserk on his enemies.

Pros

  • Ascension stats provide a crit rate
  • Taunting mechanics in the elemental Skill
  • Offers high damage multipliers
  • Artifact farming is easier than others

Cons

  • Has a complex stack mechanic
  • Needs 5-star support to reach full potential

2. Navia

Best Geo Character: Navia
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: Unknown

While Itto is decent Geo DPS, no other Geo character comes close to what Navia can pull off with the right build. The current president of Spina di Rosula is, without a doubt, the most fun character I have played in Genshin in the past few updates. Moreover, she offers incredibly high damage multipliers that will leave you in awe.

Her elemental skill is the primary source of her damage, and unlike most of the latest 5-star releases, unless you are comparing her with her C6, she will put up a hell of a competition at C0. Keep in mind she still doesn’t have any dedicated support yet, so once those characters are released, she’ll just be more broken.

Unlike most other Geo DPS, she doesn’t require you to pull out mono Geo or high-investment 5-star supports. Pair her up with any other element pick up the Geo shards and use her umbrella to blast off your enemies!!!

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsBennett, Furina, Zhongli, Albedo
Team RoleMain DPS
Artifact4-piece Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods
Stat Priority CRIT Rate/DMG, ATK%, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Navia

Pros

  • One of the highest damage dealers in Genshin Impact
  • Easy to build without any complications
  • Comes with good 4 star supports and weapons

Cons

  • Her mechanics is different from the usual style Genshin players are used to

1. Zhongli

Best Geo Character
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 64.8%

Role: Shielder, Burst DPS, Construct-Support

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsAlbedo, Ningguang
Team RoleTank, Shielder, Burst DPS, Support
Artifacts– 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith
– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Archaic Petra
– 4-piece Archaic Petra
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Retracing Bolide
– 4-piece Retracing Bolide
Stat PriorityHP, HP percent, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Zhongli

At the top spot, placed in the SS tier, is none other than the CEO of Geo, Zhongli. Understandably, the Geo archon will reign supreme over all the other Geo characters.

Zhongli offers a nearly unbreakable shield that instantly turns the difficulty in Genshin Impact from hard to easy. His elemental Skill creates a Geo pillar, but if you hold the elemental skill button, then you will generate a shield around you.

This shield is HP scaled. So, just put as much health on your Zhongli as possible, press the elemental skill button, and become invincible.

That is not all. He is also a very good burst DPS. His elemental burst offers very high scaling. So, you can deal massive AoE damage with proper artifacts and stats. But that isn’t even the main selling point of his elemental burst.

When Zhongli’s elemental burst hits an opponent, they will be petrified for 4 seconds. You can use this time to switch up and build up a powerful attack from your main DPS.

Zhongli can also be used as a main normal attack-based physical DPS. This is due to the fact that his normal attacks are fast, and you have decent polearm options that can support this build.

If you happen to unlock C6, then your shield will also provide you healing. So, not only are you getting an invincible tank and burst support that can petrify enemies, but you will also be able to get healing. (if you have C6)

That’s why Zhongli is the best Geo character in Genshin Impact.

Pros

  • Best shielder/tank in the game
  • Burst can petrify enemies
  • Easy to build due to HP scaling

Cons

  • Don’t have any dedicated signature weapon

Dendro is one of the newest and strongest elements in Genshin Impact in the current meta. This tier list will help you decide which Dendro characters are the best in the game.

Dendro was introduced in Genshin Impact with the Sumeru region in the version 3.0 update and, since then, has created a lot of strong team comps in the game. As time passes, the community has shifted from traditional Cryo or Pyro team comps to Dendro-focused teams. Hence, Dendro characters are more popular than ever.

Dendro has a strong reaction with Hydro and Electro and created some immensely powerful team comps in Genshin Impact. Even after the release of Fontaine, the Dendro teams are still the most popular ones in the game.

Top 9 Dendro Characters in Genshin Impact

Here’s a breakdown of the Dendro characters’ tier list in Genshin Impact, going from worst to best.

9. Kaveh

Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Normal Attack > Elemental Skill
Best SupportsNahida, Raiden Shogun, Kokomi, Yelan
Team RoleMain DPS

Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Crit Rate, Crit DMG
Quick KAveh Build Overview

I am starting the tier-list with Kaveh, the first character in the C-tier of the Dendro characters tier-list. Kaveh is a 4-star Claymore character from Sumeru and the architect behind the Palace of Alcazarzaray.

Kaveh is played as a DPS in certain team comps but falls behind because of his slow playstyle, which is not uncommon for most Claymore characters in Genshin Impact. Despite that, Kaveh can be played in Bloom teams such as Hyperbloom and Burgeon-oriented teams. It should be noted that Kaveh is the only Dendro character who wields a Claymore in combat.

Kaveh’s elemental skill and burst allow him to stay on-field for Bloom teams, which boosts their damage and applies Dendro to create Bloom cores. Kaveh is also capable of tanking damage from Bloom explosions and heals himself. However, he is limited by most of the team comps in the game, which is why Kaveh is at the bottom of this tier list.

Pros

  • Decent DPS output
  • Free-to-play friendly

Cons

  • Limited team comps
  • Underwhelming damage output compared to other Dendro characters on the list

8. Kirara

Stat PriorityHP%, Energy Recharge, Crit Rate, Crit DMG
Quick Kirara Build overview

Joining Kaveh in the C-tier is Kirara, the 4-star Sword user from Inazuma. Besides Baizhu, Kirara is the only other Dendro character who can provide a shield, which scales off her HP.

Kirara’s elemental skill will turn her into a Yokai, a cat-like form that can roam and climb without consuming any stamina. Whenever she hits an enemy in this form, she will deal Dendro damage and provide a shield after the skill is over. Kirara’s elemental burst will create a small explosion and deal AoE Dendro damage to enemies.

However, it is best to build Kirara only as a shield provider because her shield is one of the strongest in the game if equipped with enough HP artifacts. But her Dendro application and damage-dealing ability put her in the C-tier of this list.

Pros

  • Good shielding ability
  • Free-to-play friendly

Cons

  • Lack of Dendro application

Quick Dendro TRavelr Build overview

Starting the B-tier with none other than the Traveler, the main protagonists of Genshin Impact. Dendro is the fourth element the Traveler can obtain and one of their strongest elements. The Dendro Traveler is an excellent support character and can play a great supporting role in many team comps.

The Traveler can generate a lot of energy with their elemental skill, allowing them to serve as a battery for other characters and have a low cooldown. The Traveler’s elemental burst will drop a lamp flower, creating an AoE field to apply Dendro to nearby enemies. The lamp flower will transform or change when it comes in contact with Hydro, Electro, or Pyro elements.

The Dendro Traveler is currently the strongest among the available elements and is far more useful in a lot of team comps that require a decent Dendro applicator. The Traveler is a good unit if players don’t have a Dendro character to carry them in the Sumeru region.

Pros

  • They are easily obtainable since they are the main character
  • Low investment in Artifacts and Weapons

Cons

  • Underpowered compared to other Dendro characters
  • Limited team comps

6. Collei

Quick Collei Build Overview

Collei, the first 4-star Dendro character in Genshin Impact, is joining the Traveler in the B-tier on the list. Collei is a trainee Forest Ranger in the Avidya Forest of Sumeru and was released alongside Tighnari in the version 3.0 update. Collei is a Bow character and can be obtained for free after completing the Spiral Abyss challenge Curtain of Leaves, which requires players to clear Floor 4 Chamber 3.

Collei is a versatile character and mostly played as an off-field Dendro support in various team comps. Players can use her elemental skill, burst quickly, and switch to another character to create strong Dendro reactions. Her elemental skill will make Collei throw a Floral Ring, dealing Dendro damage on contact with enemies and returning to her like a Boomerang. Her elemental burst will cause an explosion, dealing AoE Dendro damage and creating a Cuilein-Anbar Zone in which enemies will get damaged inside the zone.

Even though her Dendro abilities are good for certain team comps, Collei cannot deal much damage and only plays the role of a Dendro applicator. Besides that, she is a decent Dendro support and an easy-to-play character.

Pros

  • Good Dendro applicator in early games
  • Versatile and free-to-play friendly
  • Can be obtained for free

Cons

  • Underwhelming damage-dealing abilities
  • Other Dendro characters can surpass her as a support

Quick Yaoyao Build Overview

Yaoyao, the 4-star Polearm character from Qince Village in Liyue, is the final character in the B-tier of this list. Yaoyao was teased in the official Genshin Impact artwork long ago and was recently released alongside Baizhu.

Yaoyao is one of the two dedicated Dendro healer support characters in the game and became popular within the community for her exceptional Dendro abilities. Her elemental skill will make Yaoyao summon a Yuegei or a bunny, which will heal the nearby party members if they are below 70% HP, and after that, they will start dealing damage to enemies. Her elemental burst will summon three Yuegui on the field that will deal damage and heal characters based on Yaoyao’s max HP. However, all three Yuegui will disappear once you swap out Yaoyao for a different party member.

Unlike other 4-star characters, Yaoyao’s playstyle greatly changes when her constellations are unlocked. For example, her first constellation will benefit a Dendro-oriented team and be easily obtainable for a 4-star character. Yaoyao is an easy-to-build, free-to-play friendly character with many weapon options and team uses.

Pros

  • Really good healing ability
  • Gets better with constellations
  • Can be a really good Dendro battery

Cons

  • Elemental burst requires Yaoyao to be on the field
  • Requires constellations to be more powerful

Quick Baizhu Build Overview

Starting the A-tier with Baizhu, the latest Dendro character released in Genshin Impact. Baizhu was first revealed in the Archon quest of Liyue, moreover, the first Dendro character shown in the game. Hoyoverse took their time releasing Baizhu, and the owner of Bubu Pharmacy did not disappoint.

Baizhu is a 5-star Catalyst user who can provide healing through his elemental skill and heals the active character from his Burst. His elemental burst will generate a shield that scales off his max HP, which has some resistance to interruption. Although his Dendro application is not on par with someone like Yaoyao, his shielding and healing abilities put him high on this list. Baizhu can be paired with Nahida and Nilou, which can be a really strong Bloom team comp.

Baizhu is an easy-to-build character with many free-to-play weapons to choose from and decent for your team if you need a character that can heal and shield your party.

Pros

  • Heals your party and provides a strong shield
  • Easy to build and free-to-play friendly

Cons

  • Weak Dendro application compared to other characters
  • Lacks damage-dealing abilities

Quick Tighnari Build Overview

Tighnari is the first 5-star Dendro character released with the introduction of the Sumeru region. He is a Bow user and played as a main DPS in the game. He is on the top of A-tier because he can be a really good DPS and the only 5-star Dendro character featured in the Standard banner in Genshin Impact.

Tighnari’s most damage comes from his Charged bow shots, but he can be played in Quick-Swap style. His elemental skill will drop a Vijnana Stormheart, which will deal AoE Dendro damage and taunt enemies in the AoE. After casting his elemental skill, Tighnari’s charged shots will have a low cooldown, so players can use 3 shots quickly. Tighnari’s elemental burst will let him use a powerful charged shot, which will fire 6 Tanglevine Shafts that will track nearby enemies and deal Dendro damage on hit.

Even though he is not the strongest DPS character in Genshin Impact, Tighnari is still one of the most consistent damage dealers in the game. Players will obtain him eventually since he is available on the Standard banner and one of the best characters to get from the banner.

Pros

  • Easy and straightforward to play with
  • Good Dendro application
  • High elemental burst damage

Cons

  • Not good against AoE
  • Single target enemies only and requires auto-targeting

2. Al Haitham

Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG, Energy Recharge, ATK%
Quick Al Haitham Build Overview

One of the most popular characters since the release of Sumeru, Al Haitham is the first 5-star character in the S tier of this list. Al Haitham is arguably one of the coolest and most hyped characters in Genshin Impact, and he did not disappoint when he was released.

Al Haitham uses a Sword in combat and is one of the strongest DPS characters in the game. His elemental skill allows him to teleport and infuse his weapon with Dendro. After casting his skill, he can deal constant Dendro damage; however, this skill has a long cooldown. Al Haitham’s elemental burst will create a Particular Binding Field, dealing enemies inside it with massive AoE Dendro damage. Al Haitham’s playstyle is often compared with Keqing’s because his elemental skill and burst animation are similar to hers.

Even though Al Haitham is a top-tier DPS character, he is not a free-to-play friendly character and sometimes requires good artifacts and weapons to build him. However, if you can equip him with good artifacts and a decent 5-star weapon, he will carry your entire team through the hardest challenges in the game.

Pros

  • Fast attack style and can deal damage quick
  • Can trigger Spread reactions easily

Cons

  • Playstyle is difficult to master
  • Requires good team comps, especially Nahida and Raiden Shogun

1. Nahida

Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG
Quick Nahida Build Overview

Nahida is a 5-star playable character and the current Dendro Archon of Sumeru. Nahida is placed in the S-tier and at the top of this list because she is currently the best Dendro character in the game. One of the strongest characters in the game, Nahida, uses a Catalyst and can buff the party with her Dendro abilities and deal massive damage on her own.

Nahida is top-tier Dendro support in the game because she can buff the active character in the party with her elemental burst, which will share a portion of Nahida’s Elemental Mastery with the character. Nahida’s elemental skill will mark enemies and deal Dendro damage when an elemental reaction is triggered. Her elemental skill can mark almost all the enemies on the field and damage them when struck with Hydro, Electro, or Pyro.

Nahida is a universal support who can be slotted to any team comps that require a Dendro character. She can be played as a support and a sub-DPS because her skills have good scaling and deal decent damage when paired up with good Hydro and Electro supports like Yelan, Kokomi, and Raiden Shogun.

Nahida is also one of the most used characters in the Genshin Impact community and one of the best free-to-play friendly characters in the game. That’s why she is the best Dendro character in Genshin Impact.

Pros

  • Top-tier Dendro support and Sub-DPS
  • Can be slotted into most team comps in the game that require Dendro
  • She can deal damage when she’s not on the field
  • F2P friendly and can be built easily

Cons

  • Low HP and small character model
  • No synergy with Anemo characters

Pyro is the most important element in Genshin Impact, and characters wielding Pyro visions are often considered the strongest. This tier list can help you build the best Pyro units in the game.

Since the release of Genshin Impact, there have been 74 playable characters in the game. Each character in the game wields a vision, which grants them elemental abilities. Pyro is considered the most powerful element in the game as it can deal more damage than other elements.

Characters wielding Pyro visions are considerably stronger than other characters in Genshin Impact. But to use those Pyro characters, you must properly build and pair them with characters that can help them shine in the game.

This tier list for the best Pyro characters will help you identify and build them if you decide to equip them with proper weapons and artifacts. The tier list has been created using past Spiral Abyss character usage data and how useful they can be in multiple team comps.

Tier List & Ranking Explained

Take a look at the following to understand my reasoning behind each tier:

TierDescription
SThe S-tier is for characters that excel in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta. But some cons hold them back from getting to the A-tier, like having a constellation requirement or High DPS and low support potential or vice versa or not being versatile enough to be effective in every type of Spiral Abyss run.
AThe A-tier is for characters that excel in most teams and are part of the Genshin meta. But some cons hold them back from getting to the S-tier. Like having a constellation requirement or High DPS & low support potential or vice versa or not being versatile enough to be effective in every type of Spiral Abyss run.
BB-tier is a place for characters with excellent DPS or Support qualities but only excel at one role perfectly or aren’t versatile enough to be used varietally.
CCharacters in the C-tier don’t have the best mechanics and do not have many team synergies. Their damage and support output is decent but nothing meta-defining, with heavy investments and specific team comps, they can hold out a decent performance.
DThis tier is for characters that offer a standard damage and support output, which can easily be neglected as the game has better alternatives.

Top 12 Pyro Characters in Genshin Impact

Here’s a breakdown of the tier list of all the Pyro characters in Genshin Impact, going from worst to best.

12. Amber

QUICK Amber BUILD GUIDE

Started the list with Amber in the D-tier, often considered the worst character in the game because of her underwhelming Pyro abilities. She is used by only 0.1% of the players in the current Spiral Abyss.

Just minutes after starting to play Genshin Impact, players are introduced to Amber. She is also the first 4-star character players obtain when playing the game. Despite her energetic attitude, the Outrider of the Knights of Favonius from Mondstadt is often considered one of the worst characters in the game because of her poor Pyro skills.

Despite this, Amber can be useful early on in the game, or if you choose to equip her with strong weapons and artifacts, she can support a team needing a Pyro unit or deal decent damage.

Pros

  • Really good support early into the game
  • Increases gliding speed

Cons

  • Underpowered compared to other bow characters
  • Not useful against difficult enemies

11. Xinyan

Spiral Abyss Usage: 0.1%

Talent PriorityNormal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst
Best SupportsFischl, Rosaria, Bennett
Team RolePhysical Support, Main DPS
Artifact4-piece Pale Flame
2-piece Bloodstained Chivalry + 2-piece Pale Flame
Stat PriorityCRIT Rate/Crit DMG, ATK%, Energy Recharge
QUICK Xinyan BUILD GUIDE

Joining Amber in the D-tier is Xinyan, the 4-star rock and roll Pyro musician from Liyue. Xinyan was used by 0.1% of the players in the current Spiral Abyss.

Classified as a Physical support or sub-DPS, Xinyan has the highest base attack out of all the 4-star characters and can be fun to play with sometimes. However, her overall damage output puts her low in this tier list because other 4-star Pyro characters can play a more supporting role in the game and deal more damage.

Xinyan can be used in the early game as a main DPS, but her usefulness slowly goes down once you face more difficult enemies. Xinyan can be used as a Physical carry and provide damage buff to other Physical characters in the game. However, Xinyan has been placed in the D-tier because she is not helpful in most team comps in the current meta.

Pros

  • Decent support for Physical characters
  • Good for early-game content

Cons

  • Slow in combat because of using Claymore as weapon
  • Less useful against higher-level enemies

QUICK Dehya BUILD GUIDE

Sharing the D-tier with Amber and Xinyan, we have Dehya, one of the most controversial characters in Genshin Impact.

Before her release, Dehya was one of the most anticipated 5-star characters in the Genshin Impact community because of her character design and badass attitude.

Dehya had the most controversial release in Genshin Impact’s history and disappointed fans worldwide because of how bad she was initially.

Many called her the worst 5-star character in the game as her Pyro skills did not work with other support characters. Dehya can be obtained from the Standard Banner in the game after she became playable in the version 3.5 update in Genshin Impact.

However, after the release of Furina, the Hydro Archon of Fontaine, Dehya is somewhat usable for vaporize reactions and can be a secondary damage dealer if the party requires Pyro resonance to boost the team’s damage.

HoYoverse may release more characters in the future who will synergize more with Dehya. Still, she was used by 2.1% of the players in this version’s Spiral Abyss.

Pros

  • Good for Mono Pyro and Burgeon reaction-based teams
  • Increases running speed in the daytime

Cons

  • Disappointing compared to other Standard Banner characters
  • Cannot create vaporized and melt reactions with most Hydro and Cryo supports
  • Not F2P friendly

9. Thoma

Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, HP%, CRIT Rate/DMG
Quick Thoma Build Guide

Introducing the C-tier with Thoma, one of the first characters we meet in Inazuma. Thoma is a great Pyro support in a few particular teams, as he can be built as a shielder who will provide a decent shield to your party.

However, his shield is weaker than that of other shield-providing characters like Zhongli. After the release of Sumeru, which introduced the Burgeon elemental reaction, Thoma has been used by the Genshin Impact community. In the current version of the Spiral Abyss, Thoma has been used by 0.6% of the players.

Pros

  • Good for Mono Pyro and Burgeon reaction-based teams
  • Can provide a really strong shield
  • Fast attack speed and can deal damage when paired with Bennett C6

Cons

  • Requires high energy recharge, even at C0
  • Not F2P friendly

8. Diluc

4-piece Gladiator’s Finale
Stat PriorityATK%, CRIT Rate/DMG, Elemental Mastery
Quick Diluc Build Guide

Thoma is joined in the C-tier by Diluc, who was once regarded as the best DPS character in the game and was one of the first 5-star characters to be released in Genshin Impact. Even by today’s standards, Diluc is still dependable as a DPS character. When built correctly, Diluc can destroy opponents with his Pyro abilities, which can deal a ton of damage.

Diluc is also one of the most free-to-play friendly characters since he can synergize well with most Hydro and Cryo supports in the game and be perfect for elemental reactions. Sometimes, he can be played as a burst support cause his elemental burst can take anything in his path.

His elemental burst can be used alongside Kamistao Ayaka’s burst for a massive melt reaction. Diluc is still one of the best characters to get if you need a Pyro DPS character, even if he can not match the powers of the recently released characters or isn’t powerful enough for Spiral Abyss.

Diluc has a 0.3% pick rate in the current version of the Spiral Abyss.

Pros

  • Good for Melt and Vaporize team comps
  • Can be easily obtained (From Standard and Novice Banner)
  • F2P friendly and can be built easily with low investment
  • Can break shields easily

Cons

  • Slow to play with for being a Claymore user
  • Requires him to stay on the field for a long time
  • Underpowered compared to other Pyro DPS characters

7. Yanfei

Yanfei. Credit: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage: 0.1%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityNormal Attack > Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill
Best SupportsBennett, Xingqiu, Fischl/Raiden Shogun
Team RoleMain DPS, Pyro Support, Shielder
Artifact4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe
4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames
Stat PriorityATK%, Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG
Quick Yanfei Build Guide

Starting the B-tier with Yanfei, the Pyro legal adviser from Liyue. Yanfei is one of the only 4-star Pyro characters who can be used as a DPS character in Genshin Impact. She can be used as an on-field DPS, or she can be used in teams that need a Pyro applier, sometimes even as a shielder.

Yanfei’s level 4 constellation effect is one of the best in the game because it transforms her into a more flexible character who can provide an ATK bonus and shield to her team.

When Yanfei is correctly built as a damage dealer, she can outperform other 4-star characters or even some of the 5-star characters in the game. Paired with an Electro and Hydro character, she can dish out good vaporized and overloaded damage in domains and boss fights.

But, in the current version of the Spiral Abyss, Yanfei has a pick rate of 0.1% because most enemies are resistant to Pyro.

Pros

  • Can attack fast and useful with all her Pyro skills
  • Ascension talent provides Yanfei with bonus Pyro damage
  • Increases normal attack damage after casting her elemental burst
  • Can be built easily

Cons

  • Requires her constellations to get better
  • Normal attacks have low modifiers, struggles to deal damage without her charged attacks
  • Not F2P friendly

6. Klee

Spiral Abyss Usage: 1.9%

Talent PriorityNormal Attack > Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill
Best SupportsBennett, Xingqiu, Kaeya, Zhongli
Team RoleMain DPS
Artifact4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe
4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames
Stat PriorityCRIT Rate/DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery
Quick Klee Build Guide

Joining Yanfei in the B-tier is Klee, one of the cutest characters in Genshin Impact, but don’t let that cuteness fool you. This bombing expert from the Knights of Favonius can destroy everything in her path. One of the first 5-star characters introduced in the game, Klee is a powerful Pyro DPS character who can destroy even the strongest enemies if she is correctly built with good support characters.

Klee is a Catalyst character, which is the only downside because the range of her attacks is not great, and she needs to be closer to enemies to deal the most damage. To play her, Klee needs a shield character in her party to protect her in battle. With more constellations, Klee can also be a supporting character, increasing her overall potential.

Klee was used by 1.9% of the player base in the current version of the Sprial Abyss.

Pros

  • Easy to build.
  • F2P friendly and has good 4-star weapons her weapons can be obtained easily
  • Has the ability to stun enemies.

Cons

  • Has a short attack range, and her gameplay feels slow
  • Requires top support for maximum damage output
  • Needs to be closer to enemies
  • Mostly single-target

5. Lyney

Team RoleMain DPS
Artifact4-piece Marechaussee Hunter
2-piece Wanderer’s Troupe
2-piece Crimson Witch of Flames + 2-piece Marechaussee Hunter
Stat PriorityCRIT Rate/DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery
Quick Lyney Build Guide

Starting A-tier with Lyney, the first 5-star character introduced in Fontaine. Lyney is a Pyro Bow user who relies on his charged shots to damage enemies most. Besides his charged shots, Lyney can also damage enemies with his skill and elemental burst.

Characters who rely on charged shots are difficult to play with, and Lyney is no exception. Lyney needs a good support team and a shielder who can protect him while you use him for his charged shots. Lyney is currently a great option in Mono Pyro teams, a team comp that uses mostly Pyro characters in the party.

Lyney was released in the version 4.0 update of Genshin Impact and was used by 12.8% of the players in the current Spiral Abyss.

Pros

  • Good for Mono Pyro and Burgeon reaction-based teams
  • Easy to build with F2P weapons

Cons

  • Not a good character for vaporize and melt reactions
  • His charged attacks are time-consuming
  • Requires a shielder character in party

4. Yoimiya

Team RoleMain DPS, Elemental Burst Support
Artifact4-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames
Stat PriorityATK%, Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG
Quick Yoimiya Build Guide

Joining Lyney in the A-tier is Yoimiya, the only other 5-star Pyro bow character in Genshin Impact. Yoimiya was one of the first 5-star characters released when Inazuma was introduced in the game. She is slightly ahead in ranking compared to Lyney because of her unique playstyle and range of attacks.

Yoimiya is played as an on-field DPS and dishes out the damage after casting her elemental skill and normal attacks, which are Pyro-infused bow shots. With great Hydro supports like Xingqiu and Yelan, Yoimiya can easily kill most enemies and bosses. Even though she is a DPS character, Yoimiya’s elemental burst is a Pyro attack buff for her party members.

Because of this enemy’s resistance to Pyro in this version of the Spiral Abyss, Yoimiya was used moderately low by the community. She was used by 2.1% of the players in the Spiral Abyss.

Pros

  • Good for enemies at long-range
  • Can deal most damage on her own
  • Requires no Energy Recharge in her artifacts
  • F2P friendly

Cons

  • Only good for single-target enemies
  • Her elemental burst has very little use in her designated team comps

3. Hu Tao

2-piece Crimson Witch of Flames + 2-piece Wanderer’s Troupe
Stat PriorityCRIT Rate/DMG, HP%, Elemental Mastery
Quick Hu Tao Build Guide

Hu Tao is often considered one of the top damage dealers in Genshin Impact and is consistently ranked at the top of every tier list. Hu Tao had to be ranked in the A-tier alongside Lyney and Yoimiya because two other characters came out on top.

The director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor is a Pyro powerhouse when she’s built and teamed up with the proper supports. This polearm character from Liyue becomes stronger when her health is under 50% and can deal massive damage with her Pyro abilities.

Paired with Hydro and Cryo support characters like Xingqiu, Yeland, and Ganyu, Hu Tao can deal insane damage with her charged attacks, which will defeat enemies quickly.

With her first constellation unlocked, she does not consume stamina for her charged attacks, so you can keep attacking non-stop. Hu Tao’s elemental burst is one of the strongest in the game as it deals with massive AoE Pyro damage that can sometimes one-shot enemies.

Hu Tao often has the highest pick rate in the Spiral Abyss because of how easily she can defeat the strongest enemies. Still, in version 4.2 of the Spiral Abyss, Hu Tao was chosen by 22.2% of players.

Pros

  • High-tier DPS with massive damage potential
  • Flexible with most supports in the game
  • Gets better with each constellation

Cons

  • Really hard to play because she needs to be on low HP
  • Requires stamina for charged attacks
  • Needs her C1 for maximum damage potential
  • Not F2P friendly

2. Xiangling

Team RoleElemental Burst DPS, Pyro Support
Artifact4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate
4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/DMG, Energy Recharge
Quick Xiangling Build Guide

The first character ranked in the S-tier is Xiangling, the 4-star Pyro polearm character from Liyue. Xiangling is ranked in the S-tier because of how easy she is to build and how powerful she can be. Xiangling can be used as an off-field DPS or even as a Pyro applicator in most team comps in the game.

Xiangling’s elemental skill drops the auto-targeting, fire-breathing Guoba, who can continuously apply Pyro to enemies. Her elemental burst ‘Pyronado’ will surround her with fire for up to ten seconds. Her elemental burst can react with almost all elements, which will deal great damage if Xiangling has enough elemental mastery.

Xiangling is used in most team comps, especially in the national team comps, where she plays the role of a driver and support. In some cases, Xiangling deals more damage than most 5-star characters after elemental reactions.

In the current Spiral Abyss, Xiangling was used by 24% of the player base.

Pros

  • Xiangling can deal massive damage with her elemental burst even when she is not on the field
  • F2P friendly and can be built easily with really low investment

Cons

  • Her constellations are hard to get because she is rarely on character banners
  • Needs high energy recharge and elemental mastery

1. Bennett

Bennett. Credit: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage: 35.2%

Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsXiangling, Xingqiu, Kazuha, Raiden Shogun
Team RoleBurst Support, Healer, Buffer
Artifact4-piece Noblesse Oblige
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate/Crit Damage
Quick Bennett Build Guide

Arguably the best 4-star character or even the best overall character in Genshin Impact, Bennett tops the tier list as the best Pyro character in the game because of how strong he is as a support.

Bennett was always the most picked character in every version of the Spiral Abyss previously. Since the start of Fontaine, Bennett has seen a drop in pick rate, but he was still picked by 35.2% of the players in this Abyss.

Bennett is a 4-star Sword character who fills the support role in almost all team comps. He is the perfect all-in-one character because Bennett gives the entire team a damage boost, heals, and can deal damage with his elemental burst.

Using him with a 4-piece Noblesse Oblige artifact set and enough energy recharge, you can rapidly rotate your team to restore his burst, which will buff and heal your entire party. Bennett is mainly used with main DPS characters as a support who can benefit from his burst for the bonus attack buff.

Pros

  • Top-tier support
  • Can be slotted into most team comps in the game
  • F2P friendly and can be built easily
  • Good Pyro battery

Cons

  • Needs high Energy Recharge stats
  • Bennett’s sixth constellation turns most characters’ normal attacks into Pyro

Let’s talk about the best wheels you can rock on your cars in Rocket League.

Rocket League is Psyonix’s 2015 super hit multiplayer game that combines vehicular gameplay with football (Or soccer). The game gained traction because of its unique gameplay mechanics and gained further popularity when the game went free in 2020.

As far as rules go, every game is pretty simple, you use your car to guide the ball into the opponent’s net to score goals. The team with the most goals at the end of 5 minutes wins the match. It is, however, a lot harder than it sounds.

One of the best features of RL is the fact that everyone starts each match off on the same ground. This means that someone who has been playing for 5 years will have no added advantage whatsoever over an opponent who has been playing for a month.

However, one thing for sure is that the person with 5 years of experience will have a lot more options for wheels, decals, cars, goal explosions to flaunt!

Rocket League offers a wide array of customization options for all parts of your vehicles. Whether it be your car, wheels, trail, decal, goal explosion, theme song, etc. So with that being said, if you’re wondering what’s the best wheels you can equip in the game, then look no further!

Top 10 Best Wheels You Can Get In Rocket League

Here are my picks for the top 10 best wheels you must definitely try out in Rocket League.

10. MTRX: Inverted

MTRX Inverted Best Wheels in Rocket League
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Limited
Release Date:
2 December 2021

The MTRX Inverted comes in at number 10 with its distinct circular equalizer design. The rim design along with the outer wheel design on this looks fantastic when you have a good decal to go along with it. And the animation on the wheel itself is also something to look at! But the only people who played RL Sideswipe back during its launch had a chance to redeem this wheel at the time.

9. Haunted Hoss

Haunted Hoss RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Wheels
Release Date:
11 August 2021

Originally obtained by reaching tier 64 of the season 4 Rocket Pass, the animation of this wheel is one of the sickest in the game. If you’re looking for a haunted car look then this wheel is indispensable. Moreover, it comes in 14 different color variants. Although I did find myself using the base one just because it just looks right.

8. Debutante Crystalized

Debutante Crystalized RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Limited
Release Date: 15 June 2022

Coming in at number 8 is the Debutante Crystalized Wheel. It is another Rocket Pass item that was given in Season 7. The subtle animation in the wheels is a nice touch that goes well with the fire and ice design of the wheels. Additionally, this works well regardless of which side you are on. So you don’t have to go and pick a different wheel if you’re on the orange (or blue) side.

7. Equilizer Wheel

Equalizer Wheels RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Exotic
Release Date:
4 December 2017

The Equalizer wheels take the number 7 spot. An exotic set of wheels that can be obtained via Blueprint/Drops from the golden item series like the Golden Egg 19 or occasionally through the in-game item shop for around 700 credits.

The wheels themselves are an absolute banger. The waveform visualizer on the rims of the wheels stands out the most. Definitely something to show off when you’re in the lobby with a few of your friends.

6. Buckboard Wheels

Buckboard Wheel RL Best Wheel
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Limited
Release Date:
11 August 2021

At number 6 is the Buckboard wheel. I am not trolling, I legitimately think this very odd-looking wheel is one of the most unique-looking wheels in the whole game. Because unlike most of the other wheels that vary mostly due to their designs and animations, this wheel changes the shape of the wheel itself. And because of its thinness, it looks uniquely weird and eye-catching.

5. Zomba Wheels

Zomba Wheel RL Best wheel
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Exotic
Release Date:
December 7, 2016

The Zomba wheels were added to the Players Choice Series back in 2019 when Champions Crate was retired. Players can now obtain the Zomba Wheels in the form of blueprints.

In terms of design, if you wanted a clean look with animations, then there is no better Wheel than the Zomba. The wheel has a multicolor spiraling animation in its base form. If you, however, have gotten your hands on any of its color variants, then it’s a pretty clean one-color wheel.

4. Sanchez DC-137

Sanchez RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Rare
Release Date:
23 September 2020

The Sanchez DC-137 is probably the most easily obtainable item on this list. As the wheels are under the rare category, you have a decent chance of obtaining them by opening rare crates or even substituting five uncommon wheels for one rare wheel.

Now the reason for which this is ranked number 4 is because many people want a good mix of both simplicity and design for their cars. These wheels can offer just that.

3. Goldstone Wheels

GoldStone RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Exotic
Release Date:
7 July 2015

There are some items in Rocket League that are valued highly because of their price, and some because of their rarity. But the Goldstone wheels are famous for both. When the game had player-to-player trading, the wheels were listed with a price tag of 500000-700000 creds!

In terms of looks though, the goldstone wheel goes well with whatever decal and color you have equipped to your car. Although the fame it carries is the major determining factor that earned the wheel as the third-best wheel in this list.

2. Draco Wheels

Draco RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Exotic
Release Date:
May 10, 2017

One of the coolest-looking wheels in the entire game is the Draco wheels. The over-the-top dragon aesthetics are amazing. As the wheels themselves are encircled by animated flames and the rims have literal dragon heads attached to them that spit flames every few seconds. If that doesn’t earn this wheel the 2nd spot, then I don’t know what will.

The Draco wheels can be obtained through blueprints in the Golden Item series and occasionally through the in-game shop. Previously the item sold for 700 creds.

1. Cristiano Wheels

Cristiano Wheels RL Best Wheels
Credit: Psyonix

Quality: Very Rare
Release Date:
7 July 2015

If you’re a long-time Rocket League player then you probably saw this coming. The Cristiano wheels are an absolute classic in RL.

People often opt for the most basic of looks in Rocket League when they’re hellbent on winning. Some might even call them try-hards. Because they equip a single-color decal, with minimal distractions and that also applies to their wheels as well.

However, instead of taking any of the other plain wheels, players put on their set of Cristiano wheels to let their opponents know that they’re not joking around.

In Genshin Impact, then you’ll need good support to complement your DPS. This best support character tier list can help.

When it comes to team building and maximum damage in Genshin Impact, you must have the proper support characters to boost your main damage dealer. But with new characters releasing in every patch, it can be hard to determine what is the best support character for your team.

That is where this Genshin Impact best support character tier list comes in. We have analyzed past Spiral Abyss data released from HoYolab users and compared them with the most used teams to create this tier list.

Read More: Genshin Impact: Best DPS Characters Tier-List

Leveling up these characters won’t be detrimental for any of the upcoming characters as supports offer much more versatility and use rate than a primary DPS character. So, it is a good investment for your resources and more.

Make sure to stick to the end of this guide so that you can understand the reasons behind our character placements in this tier list.

Don’t be disheartened if you can’t find your favorite supports in this list; all characters in Genshin Impact are usable in team comps. These are just our top picks aligned with the top picks of the majority of the players.

BThis tier is dedicated to characters requiring good investments and offering better performance with constellations.

Top 15 Support Characters in Genshin Impact

Here’s a breakdown of my picks for the top 15 support characters in Genshin Impact right now, going from worst to best.

15. Diona

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Diona
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 4.4%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsXingqiu, Kazuha
Team RoleBurst Support, Healer, Shielder
Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Maiden + 2-Noblese Oblige
– 4-piece Retracing Bolide
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Diona

First on this list in the D-tier is Diona. A 5.5% of players are using her in the Abyss at the moment, but she is still a solid 4-star healer and shielder. Most free-to-play Cryo teams rely on Diona due to her filling two roles at the same time.

While she doesn’t provide any defense shred like Zhongli, and her 80 energy recharge cost is quite high, with proper HP artifacts and weapon management, Diona can be a good option if you don’t have a dedicated healer or shielder in your team.

She excels in freeze teams, especially with constellations. But you can also use her in melt teams like the OG Diluc Diona combo.

14. Fischl

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Fischl
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 21.9%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsBennet, Xingqiu, Kazuha
Team RoleBurst DPS
Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 4-Emblem of Severed Fate
– 4-piece Golden Troupe
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Fischl

The Prinzessin der Verurteilung is up next on our list in the C tier. Fischl’s support damage comes from Oz, and the more constellation you have on her, the better this damage becomes. She would’ve been placed higher on this list if her power scaling hadn’t drastically increased with cons.

That being said, Fischl can play support roles in every electro-based team out there. You can put her up with electro-damage team comps with Hydro DPSs like Childe or Ayato, and she can also be overloaded with team support.

But the team comp where she shines the most is in Quicken or Dendro teams. Due to Oz applying electro with every hit you make on your opponent, the quicken status can easily be achieved when Fischl is on the team. You can take it one step further if you have a Hydro support or driver that synergizes with her in a Dendro comp.

That is why she has been the go-to support choice for 8 % of total teams in Spiral Abyss.

13. Faruzan

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Faruzan
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 9.8%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsBennet
Team RoleSupport
Artifacts2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Emblem of Severed Fate
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Faruzan

Sharing the C-tier with Fischl is Faruzan. She is the dedicated support for Anemo teams, and if you main an Anemo DPS like Xiao or Wanderer, then you must use Faruzan.

Her burst improves your Anemo damage significantly. There is also a massive difference between C0 and C6 Faruzan. C6 makes her an SS tier Anemo support. She has a high-cost burst, so you must build her around that.

Due to her not being compatible with any other elements and her true support potential being locked through constellations, she is placed a bit low on this tier list. 9.8% of teams in Abyss utilize Faruzan as their primary Anemo support.

12. Mona

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Mona
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 14.4%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsBennet, Kazuha, Sucrose
Team RoleBurst Support, ATK Buffer
Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Emblem of Severed Fate
– 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Mona

Very few can top the damage buffs that Mona provides when it comes to burst support. Her elemental skill allows her to distract enemies, which is ideal for any team in Genshin Impact. But what makes her stand out the most is her versatility.

You can equip Mona with the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, use her burst, and then just let your main DPS cook. Ideally, they use their bursts to get the maximum damage. That is why almost every optimal burst DPS team uses Mona as support. With 14.4% of players using her in Abyss, she is placed at the B tier in this list.

11. Shenhe

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Shenhe
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 33.7%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsKokomi, Kazuha
Team RoleCryo Buffer, Burst Support
Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Gladiator’s Fury
– 2-piece Gladiator + 2 Piece Vermillion/Echoes
– 2-piece Gladiator + 2 Piece Vermillion/Echoes
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Shenha

In Genshin Impact, if you want the ideal Cryo support, then Shenhe stands at the top among all the other options. Her elemental skill, passive, and burst are all targeted to boost the Cryo damage of your DPS character.

Every Cryo team created for Abyss incorporates her as a support, and that’s why 33.7% of players are using her on a regular basis. She is often paired with Ayaka or Ganyu. She also synergizes perfectly with Chongyun and Rosaria as well.

Her constellations are also balanced, making her a strong support even at C0, but the more you add up, the better. Due to her being only a single element-focused support, she is placed in the B tier; otherwise, she could’ve easily made the A or S tier.

10. Xiangling

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Xiangling
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 41.6%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsBennet, Xingqiu, Kazuha
Team RoleBurst DPS
Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Crimson Witch
– 4-piece Crimson Witch
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Xiangling

One of the first characters you are able to obtain in Genshin is Xiangling, and let’s just say you can’t make a list of best supports without including her in it. Her elemental skill will not only apply Pyro but also give a nice 15% attack buff. But her main support damage comes from her elemental skill, which continuously applies Pyro to your opponents.

In Genshin, pyro-based reactions are able to provide the most damage. She is also a versatile driver & support. This can be seen in her different team comps, especially in the national team variations. Having these impressive feats, Xianling is placed at the A tier on our list, and the player base also supports this as she is picked by 41.6% of Spiral Abyss teams in Genshin Impact.

9. Kuki

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Kuki Shinobu
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 51.7%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsKokomi, Nahida, Xingqiu
Team RoleHealer, Driver, Burst DPS, Support
Artifact– 4-piece Thundering Fury
– 4 piece Deep Wood Memories
– 4-piece Noblese Oblige
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Kuki Shinobu

Before the release of Dendro, Kuki was left out as a good support and was labeled a bad investment by many. But miHoYo pulled an Uno reverse when Dendro was released, as Kuki synergizes perfectly with Quicken and other Dendro teams.

She also plays the role of a healer, so you are getting a driver and a healer in one combo. Moreover, unlike most other supports, her burst and skill damage is quite good.

The community also agrees with these claims, as she has been picked by 51.7% of players in their Spiral Abyss run. That’s why she shares the A-tier with the other magnificent supports.

8. Baizhu

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Baizu
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 57%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsNahida, Xingqiu, Kazuha
Team RoleHealer, Shielder, Burst Support
Artifact– 4-piece Deepwood Memories
– 4-piece Tenacity of the Millilith
– 4-piece Maiden Beloved
Stat PriorityHP, HP%, Energy Recharge, elemental Mastery
Quick Build Guide: Baizhu

With new regions come new enemies with massive health bars and high damage multipliers. If you are planning on clearing the highest difficulty content in Genshin, which is the Spiral abyss, then your team needs a healer.

If you are running a Dendro team, then you can get a driver and a healer with Baizhu. His play style is a bit unique as he will require some on-field action to be properly utilized. But if you get additional support to improve your Dendro damage like in a hyperbloom team, then Baizhu will shine the most.

57% of players are using him in their teams. Most of the time Baizhu gets paired with either Nilou, Ayato, or any other Hydro drivers. Due to the damage potential & effectiveness of Dendro and the need for a healer in the team, Baizhu places in the A tier on our list.

7. Kokomi

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Kokomi
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 59.7%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsKazuha
Team RoleHealer, Burst Support, Driver
Artifact– 4-piece Tenacity of the Millilith
– 2-Maiden’ Beloved + 2-piece Tenacity of the Millilith
– 4-Maiden’s Beloved
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, elemental Mastery, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Kokomi

Healer, Hydro applicator, and Thrilling Tales support – if you start to point out the boosts Kokomi provides with her kit, you will understand why she is placed in the S tier in this list.

Both her elemental skill and burst are aimed towards healing your characters. And if you are able to get her timing right, then you will be able to keep her elemental skill active indefinitely due to the uniqueness of her kit.

Kokomi is a magnificent support that you can use in any team comp. She shines most in Dendro, electro, and freeze teams the most. That’s why 59.7% of players are using this fish priestess in their party.

6. Bennet

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Bennet
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 61.9%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsXingqiu, Kazuha, Any ATK focused Unit
Team RoleBuffer, Healer, Burst DPS, Support
Artifact– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Crimson Witch
– 4-piece Crimson Witch
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, HP, HP%
Quick Build Guide: Bennet

The introduction of Dendro has changed the Genshin meta. Otherwise, Bennet would easily be this tier list’s number-one support character. He provides the role of a healer, driver, and buffer simultaneously, which is the primary reason why 61.9% of players use him in their teams.

All of his support capabilities come from his elemental burst. It will heal your characters up to 70% of their total health; the regeneration depends on his max health. He also provides a massive boost in your character’s attack with his burst. This ATK boost is based on how much ATK Bennet has.

That’s not all. You can pair him up with 4 piece Noblese artifacts, and he will provide more damage buff to your DPS. With a 12-second time frame, you will have unlimited heal and damage buff with Bennet.

You can use Bennet in almost every team comps out there. But he has a bit of negative synergy with Dendro comps (except Burgeon). He is placed in the S tier at this moment. But who knows, he might be on top when Natalan is released.

5. Xingqiu

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Xingqiu
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 65%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
Best SupportsBennet, Fischl, Kazuha
Team RoleHealer, Burst DPS, Support
Artifact– 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Emblem of Severed Fate
– 4-piece Noblises Oblige
Stat PriorityEnergy Recharge, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK percent
Quick Build Guide: Xingqiu

Another 4-star support that stands over most 5-star supports in the game is Xingqiu. Both his elemental skill and burst apply Hydro to your opponents, allowing you to easily trigger vaporize, hyperbloom, freeze, or electro charge. Moreover, they have a very good damage multiplier and will also heal your characters.

His elemental skill also acts as a shield that tackles upcoming damage. Pair him with noblesse, and you will get a healer, shielder (conditional), and driver all at once.

That is why 65% of the player base uses him in their teams, and we have placed him in the S tier.

4. Zhongli

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Zhongli
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 67.1%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsAlbedo, Ningguang
Team RoleTank, Shielder, Burst DPS, Support
Artifacts– 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith
– 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Archaic Petra
– 4-piece Archaic Petra
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece Retracing Bolide
– 4-piece Retracing Bolide
Stat PriorityHP, HP%, Crit Rate/Crit Damage, ATK%
Quick Build Guide: Zhongli

There isn’t a better shielder in the game than Zhongli. Having him on your team basically removes the need for a healer unless you face enemies who can chip away at your health even if you are protected.

Along with his superior healing, Zhongli offers damage resistance removal, which makes your DPS deal more damage to the opponents. His burst petrifies the enemies, which you can use to launch attacks much more easily and comfortably.

Overall, Zhongli makes the game significantly easier. Maybe that is why 67.1% of players use him in their abyss runs, and we have placed him at the peak of the S tier.

3. Yelan

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Yelan
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 70%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsBennet, Xingqiu, Kazuha, Fischl, Zongli, Nahida
Team RoleMain DPS, Burst DPS, Driver, Support
Artifact– 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate
– 2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-Heart of Depth
– 4-Heart of Depth
Stat PriorityHP, HP% Crit Rate/Crit Damage, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Yelan

Starting off in the SS tier, we have Yelan, a player favorite with 70% player picks. She offers incredible Hydro application and damage with her burst. She can be a great driver for any Hydro reaction-based team.

What’s more, she is a great overworld support as well. Her elemental skill will allow you to traverse distances fast and effectively without sacrificing stamina. Her support and DPS capabilities both improve with more constellations.

But even at C0, her damage and support prowess is topmost in the game.

2. Kazuha

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Kazuha
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 82.2%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attacks
Best SupportsBennet
Team RoleSupport/Burst DPS/Driver
Artifacts4-piece Viridescent Venier
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Crit-Rate, Crit Damage
Quick Build Guide: Kazuha

When picking the best overall support in Genshin Impact, you will undoubtedly have to give the crown to Kazuha. He is an Anemo support that improves your DPS’s damage through his elemental skill, burst, and passives.

Paired with the Viridescent Venier artifact set, every elemental attack you do with Kazuha will decrease the opponent’s damage resistance to that element. This makes him extremely versatile, and you can put him up in any team comp. His personal damage is not bad, either.

He doesn’t need any constellation to be good, but his C2 takes his damage to a new level. So, if you are hoping to invest in constellations, you should definitely keep Kazuha in mind. With all these going on for him, Kazuha is easily placed in the SS tier with a player pick rate of 82.2%

1. Nahida

Genshin Impact: Best Support Character Nahida
Credit: miHoYo

Spiral Abyss Usage: 83.1%

CategoryDetails
Talent PriorityElemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
Best SupportsKokomi, Kuki, Xingqiu, Yelan
Team RoleDriver, Burst DPS, Support
Artifact– 4-piece Deepwood Memories
– 2-piece Deepwood Memories + 2-Gilded Dreams
– 4-piece Gilded Dreams
Stat PriorityElemental Mastery, Energy Recharge
Quick Build Guide: Nahida

In Dendro Meta, there is one support that reigns supreme, and that is the Dendro archon herself – Nahida. You can put Nahida in any Dendro team comp, and be assured that she will crank up the damage tenfold.

Her burst enables the damage effects of dendro attacks. But it is her elemental skill that applies dendro for a long period on your opponent.

Moreover, she is designated to be an EM-based character. If you want to explore more damage from support, then you can put Thrilling tales on her, too.

With Dendro teams being the Meta, Nahida is labeled as the best support choice with a massive 83.1% pick rate. That is why she is placed right at the top in the SS tier in our tier-list

If you are saving your primogems to grab the best DPS character in Genshin Impact, then this guide is for you.

DPS characters are your primary damage dealers who will remain in the field the most. You will need a good amount of time & investment on your main DPS, so finding the right one is quite important. miHoYo has made sure to offer unique DPS characters, and more are on their way soon.

However, finding the best DPS characters in a game like Genshin Impact can be difficult, as different playstyles, constellation effects, and support requirements change the perspective from one player to another.

That being said, by analyzing the spiral abyss data and the overall popularity, I have put together the Genshin Impact best DPS characters tier list based on my opinion.

Remember, this list is based on my own experience with the characters and the spiral abyss pick of most players of the game.

Every character in the game is unique and is able to dish out an insane amount of damage with the proper investment. So, if you don’t find your preferred main here, don’t question their effectiveness if they are enabling you to obtain 9 stars on floor 12.

Top DPS Characters in Genshin Impact

13. Ayaka

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 7.7%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Ayaka
Credit: Hoyoverse

One of the best cryo DPS in the game; everything about Ayaka screams freeze teams. This is a pro and con for her at the same time as she fails to shine outside of freeze comps.

Recent abyss rotations haven’t been in the favor of freeze teams which is showcased in the lower pick rate of Ayaka.

While her burst damage is one of the best in the game, you can unlock her full potential through constellations and 5-star weapon investment. She is completely usable with F2P builds and 4-star weapons, but the damage is significantly lower.

Also, if you truly want to utilize Ayaka’s kit, then you will need the ideal supports to do so, and all of her best supports are 5-star limited characters, which makes building a team around her quite costly.

And I believe that cost (both resource & Primogems) isn’t necessary for a team that is only viable during certain matchups. That’s why she ranks 10th on this list.

  • The best Cryo infuser in the game
  • Offers one of the strongest bursts in Genshin
  • Best option for a freeze comp
  • Has good f2p 4 star weapon option
  • Gets better with constellations

Cons

  • A selfish DPS that requires most on field time
  • True damage potential is hidden behind constellations
  • Best in-slot team isn’t f2p friendly

12. Ayato

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 13.7%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Ayato
Credit: Hoyoverse

On his initial release, Ayato was regarded as a driver for his team. However, that story changed after the Sumeru update and the inclusion of Dendro reactions in the game.

If you want to have fast-paced hyperbloom-based damage, then Ayato is your pick. His elemental skill allows him to apply fast hydro and inflict very good damage, and his ult is an AoE hydro attack that marks enemies with hydro. This easy status effect implementation makes him the perfect choice for hyperbloom and electro teams.

Moreover, building him is not as resource-hungry as Ayaka. And he has good artifact options and F2P-friendly team comps and weapons. His true potential is locked behind his constellations, but even at C0, he is a good driver and DPS, which makes him rank 12th on the list.

  • Support potential is very low

11. Tartaglia

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 22.4%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Tartaglia
Credit: Hoyoverse

Tartaglia is the first 5-star DPS banner character in the limited wish banner. He offers a unique playstyle that allows him to switch from range to melee with the help of his elemental skill. As his attacks apply hydro to your opponents, he resonates perfectly with any hydro-based elemental reactions.

You can do fine without unlocking his constellations if you can get the right weapons and artifacts. He isn’t that hard to build and has some of the best easy-to-obtain 4-star supports.

That’s why he is often used in the national team as a DPS driver. But Tartaglia best shines in Vape-Nuke teams due to the high multiplier on his burst. Due to this versatility, he is ranked 11th on the list.

10. Nilou

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 17.6%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Nilou
Credit: Hoyoverse

The character, Nilou, was created based on the bloom and hyperbloom mechanic of Genshin Impact. If you want to use her optimally, you will need good Dendro support, preferably the Dendro archon, Nahida, in your squad, as it will help apply Dendro faster.

She requires quite a commitment, but with Dendro teams being the meta right now, you can dish out massive amounts of damage with Nilou if you can play your cards right.

Her hyperbloom damage scaling is almost unappareled in Genshin at the moment; that’s why she easily takes the 10th spot on the list. The community data also agrees with this claim, as she is featured heavily in the latest Spiral Abyss teams.

  • Best supports aren’t f2p friendly

9. Yae Miko

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 34.7%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Yae Miko

Next on the list at number 6 is Yae Miko. While many disapproved of her on her initial release, with the help of Dendro & quicken reactions, she has now become one of the strongest DPS characters in Genshin.

Put her in a team with a good Dendro applicator and see her tomes dealing massive amount of DoT. Pair that up with good timing of her burst, and you will be able to obliterate everything.

Moreover, she has good 4-star weapon options like the Widsith, which at times can outperform 5-star weapons as well. Furthermore, farming for her artifacts isn’t that much of a hassle either, as you can opt for Strongbox for those and farm for the artifacts for your support.

Cons

  • Can run into energy issues
  • Not a good pair with all 4 star options in the game

8. Wriothesley

Wriothesley burst

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 22.8%

Wriothesley is the next character on the list. He is a relatively new unit and the first Cryo catalyst in the game. Fast-paced attacks and a powerful burst made Wriothesley a top pick for many Genshin players (myself included). He offers a much more versatile option, unlike Ayaka & Ganyu. You can go for Freeze or reverse Melt with Wriothesley and won’t face any diminishing returns as long as you build him. His elemental skill buffs him normal and charged attack which is the main source of Wriothesley’s damage.
He is also quite easy to build and uses the Marechaussee Hunter set which allows you to accumulate crit rate faster, now pair him up with another Cryo unit and you can just ignore putting any more crit rate on him. Wriothesley isn’t that constellation dependant either which makes him the perfect candidate for the no 8 on this list

  • Good for both melt and freeze comp

Cons

  • Playstyle can seem a bit boring
  • A selfish DPS that requires most on field time

7. Hu Tao

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 22.2%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Hu Tao
Credit: Hoyoverse

Considered the strongest of the Liyue big three, Hu Tao is still blazing the DPS charts even when the current DPS meta revolves around Dendro reactions.

Reaction-based damage is what Hu-Tao is known best for. Her burst can generate an insane amount of damage, and with the ‘Crimson Witch’ set, her elemental skill-powered charge attacks can create astonishing vape damage.

Hu Tao’s C1 is arguably one of the best C1’s in the game and is something that I personally would recommend you to invest in. Her best in-slot weapon is the ‘Staff of Homa’, but you have some decent 4-star and 5-star options that bring more out of your Hu-Tao.

This is why I have placed her in the 7th position in this tier list.

Cons

  • Forces players to play with low HP
  • Requires stamina for charged attacks
  • Needs C1 for maximum damage potential

6. Wanderer

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 8.8%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Wandarer

For single-target and multiple-target DPS, Wanderer is a great choice. Building him doesn’t require much investment and is pretty straightforward. High crit rate ascension status is a plus in this case.

Just level up his ult and elemental skill, and you are ready. Understanding his elemental skill and proper team rotation will make you bring the most out of Wanderer. What’s more, he has a completely viable 4-star team that doesn’t require any 5-star help, which is why he is ranked at 6 in this list.

Cons

  • Needs good artifact stats

5. Alhaitham

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 47.8%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Alhaitham

Alhaitham is the poster child for Dendro. You can pair him up with different Dendro-based teams and see the damage numbers popping off. His unique mechanic, the Dendro mirrors, makes him extremely versatile.

You will have multiple artifact options and playstyles to choose from when selecting Alhaitham as your main DPS. He is viable for the burst DPS role and the on-field DPS role.

I personally prefer the on-field DPS role much better. He doesn’t need much strong support investment to pull out the big numbers.

Moreover, his burst ensures a huge Dendro damage output and recharges very fast. Along with the elemental skill, he is a force to reckon with. Through his fast-paced gameplay & high damage multipliers with Dendro reactions, he has easily become a fan favorited and took 5th place on this best DPS tier list.

  • Don’t offer any support capabilities

4. Navia

Best DPS Navia
Credits: Hoyoverse

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: Unknown

Geo has been ignored by Hoyoverse for too long and they heard the community loud and clear. Their reply was Navia. The current president of Spina di Rosula is arguably the most fun character I have played in Genshin in the past few updates. She offers incredibly high damage multipliers that will leave you in awe.

Her elemental skill is the primary source of her damage and unlike most of the latest 5-star releases, unless you are comparing her with her C6 she will put up a hell of a competition at C0. Keep in mind she still doesn’t have any dedicated support yet, so once those characters are released she’ll just be more broken.

But you will have to invest a bit of time to learn her mechanics. That being said, the learning curve is quite steep if you are just used to pressing your burst and seeing damage unleash.

  • Easy to build without any complications

Cons

  • Her mechanics is different from the usual style Genshin players are used to

3. Raiden

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 50.3%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Raiden
Credit: Hoyoverse

For a single DPS, there is no match to Ei or Raiden. Her elemental burst is still one of the most destructive forces in Genshin Impact and won’t be dethroned that easily. The elemental skill also provides good support for her teammates, making her one of the most all-time picked characters by Genshin players.

Her constellations are a big improvement in her damage but not the most necessary upgrade you will need. Moreover, she has one of the best free 4-star weapons in the game: ‘The Catch,’ and her artifact domain offers arguably the most versatile artifact sets.

Raiden works extremely well with 4-star characters, especially in the national team. Her elemental skill is also another perk for teams that are struggling with energy recharge.

So, not only does she fill the role of a DPS, she’s also able to fill the role of a support as well. Because of that, she is ranked as the 3rd most strongest DPS in the game.

  • Can be slotted into most team comps in the game

  • Easy to build

Cons

  • Needs to be on the field most of the time
  • Characters of specific elements can be a better battery than her

2. Yelan

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 66.5%

Genshin Impact Best DPS Yelan
Credit: Hoyoverse

Lastly, if you are looking for a DPS, Support, or Driver for your team, Yelan fills all these roles. She’s the most versatile character Genshin has released so far.

The primary source of Yelan’s damage comes from her elemental burst. At C0, she is a decent DPS but primarily focused on a support role. But as the constellations increase, she starts to become the nightmare to your opponents.

Her normal attack, elemental skill, and burst all increase her damage as you put more constellations. A properly built Yelan can even take on Spiral Abyss all by herself. She also has easy-to-get four-star support and a wide array of 5-star & 4-star weapon options.

With all these benefits and large damage numbers, Yelan takes the 1st place in this best DPS character tierlist.

  • Gets better with constellations

Cons

  • True main DPS potential is locked behind constellations

1. Neuvillette

Nuve burst

Spiral Abyss Usage Rate: 88.6%

The character that is currently dominating the abyss and doesn’t look like going down any time soon is Neuvillette. He was broken before but with Furina playing the support role, the hydro dragon is now ready to challenge Celestia. And this isn’t just me saying, it is what the community believes as he is picked over by 80% of players.
To see his full potential you will need the help of 5-star support but there are 4-star alternatives as well. Just buff him properly and hold his charge attack and Neuvillette will take care of everyone in a few seconds.
