Take your fights to the next level by summoning glorious divine beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty takes you through ancient China during the War of the Three Kingdoms era, where you fight as a warrior to protect your land, learn secrets, and take down your enemies. The game’s depiction of ancient China is very realistic, including how they interact and take part in battles, weapons, armor, and characters are all nearly historically accurate. But the game spice things up by adding fantasy elements such as magic, monsters, and demons from Chinese mythology and folklore.
In addition to fighting fierce soldiers and mercenaries, you slay powerful beasts inspired by Chinese culture. Furthermore, you can also call upon powerful Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty to grant buffs and perform powerful attacks to destroy all foes.
Divine Beasts are holy or spiritual beings based on Chinese mythology. They use their Phase powers to grant you several advantages in battle, such as stat-boosting abilities, but the coolest of them is their attacks which are strong enough to one-shot everyone coming to attack you. Hence, you can consider them as special or ultimate attacks. Use them to change the tides of battle to your favor in seconds.
There are several Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, each having their own skills and buffs. Our guide intends to list all Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and explain all the ins and outs of this magnificent mechanic that can make you overpowered.

Unlocking and Using Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
There are 10 Divine Beasts in the game, every two belonging to one of the five Virtue Phases. Luckily, each of these Spirit Beasts is unlocked automatically as you progress through the main story. So it’s also a good idea to equip Divine Beasts by matching with your build Virtue for max benefits. How do you actually equip them?
To equip Divine Beasts, interact with a Battle Flag on your game map, head to the Battle Preparations menu, and choose the Set Divine Beasts option. You can switch between Divine Beasts at any Battle Flag to strategize against enemy weaknesses whenever you want.
Summoning a Divine Beast requires that you fill-up the Divine Beast Gauge, which you can see in the UI. Calling forth a Divine Beast uses it up. To replenish it, you have to deal damage and also take hits. You can harness the Divine Beast’s power in three ways:
- Summoning
- Resonation
- Favor
Let’s take a look at each of them.
Summoning with Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Summoning calls the equipped Beast on the battlefield and lets them perform their ultimate move. Ultimate moves range from casting powerful magic on a wide area to deal immense damage to granting massive healing buffs, inflicting status effects on enemies, or granting you stat boosts. The skills gain more power if you summon with a Morale Rank of 10 or greater.
Favor with Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Favor does not require you to summon or press any other button. They passively grant you skill bonuses, stat boosts, buffs, or resistances. Everything to make give you the winning edge against the toughest of bosses. Divine Beasts initially grant three passive favors, but a fourth one is unlocked by completing their special missions.
Resonation with Divine Beasts in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Your weapon resonates with the Phase Virtue element of the Divine Beast to apply various magical powerups to make your blade even stronger. Furthermore, Resonation can also be applied to your allies to strengthen their weapons.
Although not as powerful as Summoning a Beast to obliterate everything, your sword is still granted the Beast’s elemental power to let you do some obliteration. Just not on the same large scale.
