All New League of Legends Skins in 2023

How many skins have been released in 2023 so far? Let’s find out.

League of Legends and skins go hand in hand. Being a free-to-play game, League earns most of its revenue by selling different in-game items such as Icons, Ward Skins, Emotes, etc. But the thing that brings in the majority of the income is skins.

These skins are solely aesthetic enhancements that players can purchase for champions in the game. They provide the champions with different audio and visual effects that distinguish them from the standard champion model. Skins can be as simple as color changes to as complex as new animations and sound effects.

That said, Riot releases new skins every Patch. And in its over ten years lifespan, the game has accumulated over 1400 skins. And with the game surpassing over 160 champions, we are bound to get more skins. We already have more than 100 skins released so far in season 13, and there is a ton more on the way.

Epic Skins

Epic Skins are the most common type of skin in League of Legends. They have been the standard since Riot discontinued 520 RP – 795 RP skins. These skins are of equivalent quality to Legendary skins but lack the added voice lines and unique animations.

Legendary Skins

Legendary skins are currently one of the highest tier skins in League of Legends, second to only Ultimate skins. These skins have improved VFX/SFX, recall animations, and additional voice lines.

This year, we have received 6 Legendary skins so far.

Ultimate Skins

Ultimate skins are the highest tier skin purchasable in League of Legends. These are 3250 RP skins that feature similar levels of VFX/SFX, recall animations, and voice lines as Legendary Skins, but they generally come with various quirks that set Ultimate Skins apart from their peer.

There’s currently a single Ultimate skin released in 2023.

Mythic Skins & Prestige Skins

Mythic Skins & Prestige Skins have improved since the introduction of Prestige 2.0 Skins in 2022. And Riot continues the upward trend with this year’s Prestige skins.
