With Version 4.6 just around the corner we already know Genshin Impact is bringing Arlecchino as the latest 5-star along with DPSs like Lyney, and Wanderer. But what about the characters in the upcoming versions 4.7 & 4.8?

That’s what I am going to discuss in this article. Keep in mind all the info gathered here is from leakers and speculations from the community. Hoyoverse hasn’t provided any confirmation regarding the following info.

Therefore, take everything with a grain of salt.

Upcoming Character Banners in Version 4.7

1^st Half: Clorinde & Furina

The first half of 4.7 is rumored to have Clorinde as the latest 5-star character entering the mix.

She’s said to be an Electro main DPS with unique dodge mechanics and invincibility frames. We can also expect her to use her gun as it’s already been showcased in her past animations. The 4 star character Sethos will also accompany in either the first half or the second half.

Accompanying the strongest duelist of Fontaine is none other than the former Hydro Archon Furina. She’s arguably the strongest support you can get in the game so save your pulls if you need her!

2^nd Half: Sigewinne & Wriothesley

As for the second half, Sigewinne & Wriothesley will take the stage. Sigewinne was introduced in the version 4.1 story quest and is rumored to be a hydro bow-wielding character.

Many leakers claimed her to be a healer as it is her profession in the Fortress of Meropide. But the latest rumors suggest she will be a sub-dps/support healer with the bond of life mechanic. This might be a hint that she’ll synergize perfectly with Arlecchino. But only time will tell.

Wriothesley got his first banner with Nuevillette so it’s high time he gets his rerun banner as all the other Fontaine characters already got their rerun. It also makes sense that he will get a rerun with Sigewinne. He is her boss after all.

Chronicle Wish Banner

We won’t be getting any expansion or archon quest continuation in 4.7 making it a filler version which is the ideal time for Chronicle Wish Banner to Return.

I believe Liyue characters will fill the slots. We are likely to see popular characters like Hu Tao, Yelan, Ganyu, and Tartaglia and their signature weapons in the banner. Shenhe won’t be getting a rerun here as she hasn’t been featured in three banners yet.

Upcoming Character Banners in Version 4.8

There won’t be any new characters coming out in version 4.8. This means it will be packed with rerun characters. Navia is definitely will be featured in the first or second half (likely in the first half). Along with her Shenhe seems to be the best choice as she won’t have her rerun for 12 versions now.

Other rerun characters may include Nilou, Alhaitham, and Kokomi. There is also a possibility of Klee getting her rerun banner as usually the .8 banners are when her mom seems to send her on a vacation with the traveler.

There aren’t any possible rumors about the chronicle banners, but Hoyoverse can always surprise us. That’s all for now, again note that all of these are rumors, leaks, and speculations. Best of luck with your pulls!

How to Redeem Genshin Impact Codes

To redeem these codes in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to reach Adventure Rank 10 in-game. For PC and Mobile players, once you’ve reached Adventure Rank 10, go over to the official Genshin Impact website to redeem the codes by following these steps:

• Log in to your account by selecting the ‘Log In‘ button at the top-right of the screen.
• Select the name of the server that you play on.
• Enter your character nickname, also known as your in-game name (Might fill up automatically once you select the server).
• Type in one of the codes and click ‘Redeem.’

Hoyoverse has announced the new ‘Chronicled Wish’ banner will be coming to Genshin Impact in the version 4.5 special program livestream. This new banner will go live when the version 4.5 update goes live and will stay in the game throughout the entire patch. The Chronicled Wish banner will feature 5-star characters from a certain region and different 5-star weapons.

Hoyoverse mentioned that the Chronicled Wish banner characters and weapons will change in future patches. However, this banner will work differently than the regular Character and Weapon Wish banners as it will feature a lot of characters and weapons.

How Chronicled Wish Banner Works

Starting from the version 4.5 update, the Chronicled Wish banner will be released, featuring several old 5-star characters and weapons. Hoyoverse explained that the banner will have “Chronicled Path” mechanics, similar to the Weapon banner’s ‘Epitomized Path’ system.

The Chronicled Wish banner will feature 5-star characters from a specific region. The featured characters in the banner will have appeared at least 3 times on the “Character Event Wish” banner.

Players must choose the “Chronicled Path” by selecting a 5-star character or weapon from the banner before pulling. If the players set the path of the preferred item to be a character, the 5-star item they will obtain will only be characters, and the same will apply if they choose a weapon.

However, if the 5-star item players get is not the one they set the path for, they will gain a Fate Point. In that case, the following 5-star item players will obtain will be the one players set the path for.

Players will get a 5-star item after making 90 pulls on the Chronicled Wish banner, the same as the currently available banners. However, there is a chance players will receive a 5-star character or weapon early. Players will also receive a guaranteed 4-star or higher item every ten pulls. Hoyoverse has announced that the items on each Chronicled Wish banner will change in future patches.

Character Event Banners for Version 4.5 Update

Chiori, the newest 5-star character from Fontaine, will be coming in Phase 1 as the first featured limited-time event wish banner when the version 4.5 update goes live. Arataki Itto, the Geo 5-star character from Inazuma, will get his rerun banner alongside Chiori in Phase 1.

Two of the most popular characters in Genshin Impact, Neuvillette and Kaedehara Kazuha will have their limited-time event wish rerun banners in Phase 2 of the version 4.5 update.

New Banner Type “Chronicled Wish”

During the version 4.5 update, Hoyoverse is introducing “Chronicled Wish,” a new type of Event Wish banner that will be available when the update goes live. The Chronicled Wish banner will feature 5-star characters from a region already appearing in the limited-time “Character Event Wish” at least 3 times.

This banner will require Intertwined Fates, and travelers can get random 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star items. However, unlike other event wish banners, the Chronicled Wish banner will include both 5-star characters and weapons. But, like the current weapon banner, travelers must choose a “Chronicled Path” to obtain the character or weapon of their choice.

New Story Quests

Chiori will get a new story quest, ‘Cisoria Chapter: Act I,’ in the version 4.5 update.

Also, in the Genshin Impact version 4.5 update, Lynette will have a new hangout story quest.

HoYoverse will broadcast the social program livestream to show the community what the upcoming update will bring to the game. But will the new rumored system work out for players? Well, that’s up to you to decide once you get the details from this article!

A Third Banner Coming in Genshin Impact?

A third banner has been in the making for a long while. There have been many rumors and speculations surrounding this factor. While there has been no official announcement from Hoyoverse yet, the inclusion of a third banner seems to be obvious at this point.

This is due to the fact that the Genshin Impact character roster is growing in every patch and has reached 74 by the time this article is written. Characters like Albedo and Eula haven’t seen their banner in over a year.

So, What’s the Solution?

Apparently, Hoyoverse is going to introduce a third banner in the upcoming 4.5 patch. The banner specifics haven’t been uncovered yet by data miners. That being said, if the rumors are true, we will be getting region-specific banners this time around.

This means the character in the 3^rd banner will be from a certain region of the game. In 4.5, there will be a Monstadt festival, there characters like Albedo, Eula, and Klee will have the top priority. Whether Archons will be introduced or not is yet to be decided.

How will the Regional Banner Work?

The overall functionality of the banner is yet to be revealed. But from the rumors, it seems we will have a mechanic similar to the Epitomized path from the current weapon banners. Will the 50-50 system be implemented or not is yet to be confirmed.

How Hoyoverse will include the weapons are kept in the dark for the time being. They might start to give up purchasable 5-star weapon bundles if some leaks are considered to be true.

Keep in mind that all of these details are yet to be confirmed by Hoyoverse. Therefore, take all of these with a large grain of salt!

However, since this is a gacha game, sometimes players will not get the characters they sometimes want.

In Genshin Impact, when a limited-time character banner drops and players summon the character, there is a chance that they might get other five-star characters from the Standard banner. In addition, there are a lot of five-star characters in Genshin Impact, and new players will struggle to summon the character they like.

Recent leaks suggest that Hoyoverse is working on introducing a third banner in the upcoming version 4.5 update. It has long been rumored in the Genshin Impact community that Hoyoverse would rework the limited-time character banners.

Upcoming Characters in Version 4.5 Update

Hoyoverse announced that Chiori is the newest 5-star character who will be coming to the version 4.5 update in Genshin Impact. She owns the ”Chioriya Boutique” in Fontaine and hails from Inazuma.

The new leaks suggest that popular characters like Kaedehara Kazuha and Arataki Itto from Inazuma will have rerun banners in the upcoming update. In addition, the popular character from Fontaine, Neuvillette, will also have a rerun in the version 4.5 update after his introduction in version 4.1.

Third Character Banner Coming To Genshin Impact?

Prolific leakers HXG, GenshinMeow, and UncleX have all confirmed that a third limited-time character banner will debut in the version 4.5 update in Genshin Impact. There is a possibility that Hoyoverse is planning to introduce Albedo as the third banner in the upcoming update.

On the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, user APerson567i posted the possible lineup for the characters featured in the version 4.5 update: Chiori, Arataki Itto, Kazuha, and Neuvillette.

Albedo is one of the oldest characters to have a rerun banner in recent updates. The new leaks suggest that he will have his rerun banner in version 4.5, as his previous banner appeared in the version 3.1 update. However, it is not confirmed if Albedo is the character to be featured as the third banner. Other characters from Mondstadt, such as Klee, Eula, and Venti, could also be introduced, as these characters rarely get their rerun banners.

While a third banner may come to the game, it is unclear how Hoyoverse will implement the concept. Some leakers suggest that Hoyo will implement something similar to the Epitomized Path, which already exists on the weapon banner. With the Epitomized Path, players can choose the 5-star weapon they want and continue summoning on the banner.

If Hoyoverse decides to implement something like this, it will help the players to set the option to the character they want and summon for it. Since Genshin Impact has a growing list of 5-star characters, this option will help the old and new characters get the characters they might have missed. In addition, introducing a third limited-time character banner will help Hoyoverse have more old characters on reruns.

Xianyun is the newest playable 5-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact after the release of the version 4.4 update. She is the human form of the Adeptus Cloud Retainer, who moved to Liyue Harbor. Xianyun wields a Catalyst and introduces a new Plunging meta in Genshin Impact, as her skills provide a Plunge Attack damage boost to other characters.

The newest Anemo character, Xianyun, can be played as an Anemo support as she can provide heals to the party, and her elemental burst can let any characters in the party jump higher and perform plunging attacks.

Her elemental burst will also provide a damage boost to those plunge attacks and heal the characters over time. With proper artifact sets and weapons, Xianyun can be a fun and unique character to play with and try out new team comps in Genshin Impact.

After the release of the version 4.4 update, Xianyun’s limited-time event banner, ‘The Crane Soars Skyward,’ is now available alongside the Dendro Archon, Nahida’s rerun banner. Both banners will also feature the newest 4-star Pyro character – Gaming.

Normal Attack: Word of Wind and Flower

Normal Attack
Summons swirling winds to perform up to 4 attacks, dealing Anemo DMG.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and launches a Breeze Bolt in a straight line that deals Anemo DMG to opponents along its path.

Plunging Attack
Gathers the power of Anemo and plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Anemo DMG upon impact with the ground.

Elemental Skill: White Clouds at Dawn

Xianyun enters the Cloud Transmogrification state, in which she will not take Fall DMG, and uses Skyladder once.
In this state, her Plunging Attack will be converted into Driftcloud Wave instead, which deals AoE Anemo DMG and ends the Cloud Transmogrification state.

This DMG is considered a Plunging Attack DMG. Moreover, each use of Skyladder while in this state increases the DMG and AoE of the next Driftcloud Wave used.

Skyladder
Can be used while in mid-air. Xianyun leaps forward, dealing Anemo DMG to targets along her path.

During each Cloud Transmogrification state Xianyun enters, Skyladder may be used up to 3 times, and 1 instance of Skyladder DMG can be dealt to any one opponent.

If Skyladder is not used again in a short period, the Cloud Transmogrification state will be canceled.

Furthermore, if Xianyun does not use Driftcloud Wave while in this state, the next CD of White Clouds at Dawn will be decreased by 3s.

Elemental Burst: Stars Gather at Dusk

Brings forth a sacred breeze that deals AoE Anemo DMG and heals all nearby characters based on Xianyun’s ATK. It will also summon the “Starwicker” mechanism.

Starwicker

• Continuously follows the active character and periodically heals all nearby party members based on Xianyun’s ATK.
• Starts with 8 stacks of Adeptal Assistance. While Adeptal Assistance is active, nearby active characters in the party will have their jump height increased.
• When the active character completes a Plunging Attack, Starwicker will consume 1 stack of Adeptal Assistance and deal AoE Anemo DMG.

Only 1 Starwicker can exist simultaneously.

Artifact Sets For Xianyun

The new 4-piece Song of Days Past is the overall best artifact set for Xianyun. The 2-piece set will increase Xianyun’s Healing Bonus by 15%. When Xianyun heals a party member, the Yearning effect will be created because of the 4-piece set bonus.

After the active party member hits an opponent with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Burst, the damage will increase by 8% of the total healing amount recorded by the Yearning effect.

Xianyun can also be equipped with the 4-piece Viridescent Venerer set, increasing her Anemo DMG by 15% and Spread DMG of Swirl by 60%.

Additionally, the 4-piece set bonus will apply a debuff to enemies by that, a debuff to enemies hit by that Spread, and elemental resistance for the same element as the Spread by 40%.

However, you can also equip Xianyun with a 4-piece Noblesse Oblige or 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale and a 2-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence since her abilities scale off ATK%.

In some instances, equipping Xianyun with 2-piece ATK% and 2-piece ATK% artifact sets could be beneficial since all her skills scale off ATK.

Xianyun is mainly played as an Anemo support, a Plunge attack damage buffer, or a healer. These are some of Xianyun’s best team compositions:

• Xianyun + Gaming + Bennett + Furina
• Xianyun + Kazuha + Furina + Raiden Shogun

Xianyun’s Playstyle

Xianyun is a relatively new character, and Hoyoverse introduces a new Plunge attacking meta with her arrival. She is primarily played as a plunge attack buffer and healer in most team comps. In addition to her damage buff and healing abilities, Xianyun can group enemies and is great for exploration in the open world.

Her elemental skill, White Clouds at Dawn, will make Xianyun enter the Cloud Transmogrification state, and she can leap three times before turning into her Crane form and Plunge attack a nearby enemy. After hitting an enemy with her elemental skill, she will deal AoE Anemo damage and group up nearby enemies.

With her elemental burst, Stars Gather at Dusk, Xianyun will summon a sacred breeze that will deal with AoE Anemo damage and heal the characters in your party. The sacred breeze will allow the active party member to jump higher and plunge into the enemies. While your active character performs plunge attacks on the enemies, the sacred breeze will buff the plunge attack damage and heal the active character over time.

Xianyun’s playstyle is unique and different from other characters in Genshin Impact. Her primary role is boosting the plunge attack damage, and there are only a few characters in the game whose playstyle revolves around plunging. Xiao, one of the earliest Anemo characters in the game, performs plunge attacks to deal the most damage. However, the new 4-star character Gaming also performs plunge attacks to deal damage to enemies. Xianyun’s abilities will bring new team comps for both Xiao and Gaming, as they can benefit from the bonus damage she will provide.

With each constellation, Xianyun’s damage potential will increase, although she is a really good support at C0. However, her sixth constellation will unlock and convert her into a DPS, as she can cast elemental skills continuously after using her elemental burst.

Hoyoverse will likely release more characters in the future, focusing on the plunge attack meta in the game. But for the time being, Xiao and Gaming are the only two characters who can benefit from Xianyun in Genshin Impact.

If you haven’t heard already, the Genshin Chinese Community has taken it up to themselves to fight back against the ungenerosity that Hoyoverse has been showing for these past three years.

In the latest upcoming version sneak peek livestream of Lantern Rite, Hoyoverse announced the rewards they are going to give the players. Similar to their previous year, ten intertwined fates and Liyue 4-star selectors are back, which was expected from the company.

But what triggered the Chinese fanbase is Hoyoverse stating they will send 3 Intertwined fates to in-game mails. This is for the support players have shown Genshin Impact for the past three years. And that just put oil to the complaints already burning among players.

Now, the Chinese community has started review-bombing Genshin. They also began to unfollow Hoyoverse’s social accounts to voice their opinions. And let’s just say the result is quite catastrophic for Hoyoverse.

Why the Backlash?

As mentioned earlier, the backlash was triggered by the comment of 3 Intertwined Fates. But that’s not all. A few weeks ago, Honkai Star Rail, another gacha game by Hoyoverse, received generous rewards for their anniversary and a free limited-time 5-star Character: Doctor Ratio. This character is meta-defining and has become an instant hit.

Now, most Genshin players have come to terms with the fact that this is how the company operates. However, seeing Honkai getting all the rewards and mechanics upgrades they provided as a community has led to this meltdown.

How is the Chinese Community Showing Their Disappointment?

The Chinese community started unfollowing Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok. Here, Genshin used to have almost 10 million followers, but it came down to nearly 7 million. Currently, it is at 8 million, and many claim the company is using bots to keep up its follower count.

Genshin’s Billibili review has also seen a spike of 1-star reviews, which is now more than the number of 5-star reviews Genshin had. The current rating is now at 5.9.

What’s more, the Chinese players aren’t stopping there. They have started to unfollow popular brands that Genshin collaborated with, like KFC, Pizza Hut & HeyTea.

Asil’s Thoughts

In my personal opinion, I think the Chinese community is 100% right. I have been playing Genshin Impact since its launch, and in all these years, they haven’t really put that much effort into rewarding the community, unlike other Gacha games.

Genshin was unique even among gacha games, as they had an open world to explore, so they probably thought they could get away with it.

Also, opinions from global players like me didn’t matter to them as long as the Chinese community was happy. That’s because the first anniversary received quite a backlash from the global community, and they did nothing.

But this time, I think there will be some positive changes as Hoyoverse’s primary goal is the satisfaction of the Chinese community. Those who played from the launch probably remember how they responded to Zhongli being weak in the eyes of the CN community.

Hoyoverse already released a statement and apologized, but I think they wouldn’t have done that if the Chinese community hadn’t led this. Now, fingers are crossed to see how they compensate us. I hope they don’t end up adding another three more Intertwined Fates.
