In the newest dev log, Riot has unveiled the mythic skin line for season 14, Crystalis Indomitus.
Before season 12, the mythic skin system in League of Legends worked differently than how it is currently working right now. Before, the mythic skins were overall bland, and most of them were part of the Hextech skin line. The only way players could purchase them was through gemstones, which players could earn from chests. Overall, the system was very outdated, and most players didn’t care about these skins.
So, in season 12, Riot reworked this system, and they also announced that in each different season, we also get different skin lines. The first skin line we got was the Ashen Knight. And from the reveal of Ashen Knight Pyke, players were extremely excited about what else this skin line had to offer. For context, Ashen Knight Pyke is considered one of the best skins in the game. After Pyke, we got 4 different skins for this skin line. They are Ashen Conquerer Pantheon, Ashen Slayer Sylas, Ashen Graveknight Mordekaiser, and Ashen Guardian Shen.
Afterward, in the last season, we got the Crystalis Motus skin line. While not as popular as the Ashen Knight collection, it still offered some great skins. This skin line offered Crystalis Motus Leona, Crystalis Motus Taliyah, and Crystalis Motus Ashe.
As season 14 started not too long ago, Riot has announced the mythic skin line for this season, Crystalis Indomitus. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

League of Legends: Mythic Crystalis Indomitus Skin Line
As stated before, we are getting the Crystalis Indomitus skin line. Moreover, this theme will be a continuation of the previous Crystalis Motus.
Regarding lore, this line dives into the different sides of this alternative universe. In Crystalis Motus, the champions use the crystal’s power for the greater good, whereas in Crystalis Indomitus, champions get consumed by the power and become corrupted.
Here are the champions who are receiving this skin:
- Kha’Zix
- Xerath
- Nautilus
While many players weren’t a fan of the Crystalis Motus skin line, Crystalis Indomitus already looks amazing from this concept art. It looks dark, eerie, mysterious, and overall more prestigious. If the effects and sounds are also up to par, then it might become a worthy pickup.
Release Date
Alongside the concept art and lore, Riot has also revealed the release date for each of the skin.
Crystalis Indomitus Kha’Zix will be released in March, while Crystalis Indomitus Xerath will be released in June. And finally, Crystalis Indomitus Nautilus will be released on live servers in August. So, for now, we need to be patient to test out these skins.
