Riot has encountered some unforeseen circumstances, forcing them to delay the Teemo ASU in Lol further back.

Being a game released in 2009, League of Legends has come a long way today. This progress comes in the form of both gameplay and aesthetic vision. Millions of hours of collective dedication have, since then, reshaped how the game looks like today. Naturally, some of the older elements, champions, and their overall design don’t hold up to the modern standard.

To level them up, Riot has come up with various strategies. VGU (Visual and Gameplay Update), ASU (Art and Sustainability Update), and CGU (Comprehensive Gameplay Update). Each of these improves how a champion looks and plays. VGU fully overhauls champions’ abilities, skins, models, etc. ASU only focuses on one or more of the artistic aspects, namely the splash arts and/or the models of the champions, skin inclusive. The animation of the abilities also gets enhanced.

In season 2024, Riot announced the arrival of Lee Sin ASU in early May. However, the news is not so good for the Teemo lovers. In this article, I will update you on Teemo’s ASU.

Initially, it was thought that Riot would be releasing Teemo’s ASU in 2024 because both the Lee Sin ASU and Teemo ASU were talked about in the same dev blog.

In the ‘Look Ahead‘ dev video, the skins team lead, Stephanie Leung, reveals that they have encountered some challenges regarding Teemo’s ASU. This has caused them to derail from the original timeline of release.

When will Teemo ASU Get Released in Lol?

Due to the setback, it is possible that Teemo ASU might not come to the game this year. Stephanie Leung says that they will give an updated timeline later this year, so I feel like we’ll have to wait until early 2025 for the improved art of our mischievous rat, raccoon, or badger (?).
