Hacker gets into Genburten and ImperialHal’s PCs and runs aimbots and wallhacks during the ALGS 2024 Split 1 Pro League Regional Finals.
The ALGS 2024 Split 1 Pro League is almost coming to an end. The regional finals for APAC North, APAC South, and EMEA are already over. Only the NA regional finals remain before we get our 40 teams who’ll face off in the ALGS 2024 Split 1 Pro League playoffs.
NA’s regional finals started on March 17 at 3:30 PM PST. During the third match of the finals, Genburten’s Apex Legends account suddenly started acting up weirdly, and an unknown cheat software popped up in front of his screen.
Like most pro players, Genburten was also live-streaming the finals when this incident occurred. Naturally distressed by what was occurring in his game, Genburten panicked and left the live match.
Right on the next match, the hacker got into ImperialHal’s Apex Legends account and turned on aimbot in a similar style. Although Hal realized what was happening, he did not quit the game, which forced the admins to shut down the server.
Following the incident, NA’s Split 1 Pro League regional finals were postponed. It is also not clear whether the 3 matches that were played out before the hacker’s intervention will count in the final leaderboard.
