Are you interested in finding out what percentage of players you belong to in VALORANT’s rank distribution? Then you’re in the right place.

VALORANT has different game modes, such as Deathmatch, Spike Rush, Unrated, and Competitive. Additionally, there are three rotating game modes: Escalation, Replication, and Snowball Fight, which change with every patch. Among these, Competitive, or Ranked is the most popular game mode in VALORANT.

What is VALORANT Rank?

As mentioned earlier, there’s a competitive game mode in VALORANT. This game mode is also referred to as Ranked. Players are given specific ranks based on skills and Rank Ratings in this competitive mode.

The point of having a competitive or Ranked mode is to play against similarly skilled opponents so you can enjoy the thrilling and nail-biting experience of the matches. If you are new to this game, you must play 10 Unrated matches to unlock competitive mode and get a specific rank.

There are 9 tiers of ranks in VALORANT. These tiers also have 3 sub-tiers, except for Radiant. Radiant is a special rank category representing the best of the best. Only the top 500 from each Region can reach Radiants.

Previously, there were 22 ranks in VALORANT. However, Riot Games also added a new tier called Ascendant in Episode 5 Act 1. So, in addition to Ascendant, there are currently a total of 25 ranks in VALORANT.

VALORANT Rank Distribution

Riot Games released API for VALORANT starting in 2020. Esports Tale and Tracker.gg uses this API to provide official rank data based on the whole player base. So, the rank distribution data shown below is accurate. Additionally, this rank distribution considers combined players from all regions.

Note: We updated the article on August 1, 2024.

When Will Rank Reset?

VALORANT resets everyone’s ranks with every new Act. When a new Episode begins, all players need to play 5 placement matches to be placed, with Ascendant 1 being the highest initial placement. To receive your rank in Act 2 or 3, you’ll need to play 1 placement match.

After placement, your Act rank will rise and fall with your wins and losses. Nonetheless, as millions of players grind VALORANT ranks daily, the rank distribution keeps changing. Currently, Episode 9 Act 1 is ongoing. The next rank reset will happen when Episode 9 Act 2 begins on August 27, 2024.

With VALORANT Episode 9 Act 1, a new Premier stage has started with a clear view of the Challengers League.

Premier is VALORANT‘s official competitive mode, where you need a pre-made team to compete. Riot Games introduced the Premier Beta in August 2022, followed by the Premier Ignition stage and official Premier Stage 1.

Now, with Episode 9 Act 1, Premier is in a new stage. Just like before, you can enroll with your team of up to 7 members and participate in a division decided by the top 5 players’ MMR. However, the new Premier also differs from the previous versions in a few ways.

Note: We updated the schedule and map rotation on June 20, 2024 at 4:16 AM PT.

What’s New in Premier E9A1?

Episode 9 Act 1 Premier changes
credit: riot games

There have been some additional tweaks to Premier with the Episode 9 Act 1 update. These changes include:

  • Invite Division: Invite Division is a new tier within the Contender Division. However, the Invite Division will determine what teams will have the opportunity to make it into a Challengers League. At the end of the stage, a limited number of Contender Division teams will be promoted to the Invite Division. The number of invited teams will vary in each region.
    • Winners of previous act playoff tournament and Top 32 will be placed in the Invite division.
  • Contender or Invite Roster Restriction: A player must be Contender eligible before a Contender or Invite Division team can add them to the team. Below are some more points for teams and player eligibility for the Contender Division in Premier:
    • Play a weekly match in Contender or Invite.
    • Play a playoff match in Elite 5.
    • Play a Competitive match when ranked as Immortal 3 or higher.
  • Contender and Invite Weekly Matches: Contender and Invite Divisions play both of their weekly matches on Saturday night. All North American teams in Contender and Invite play their matches at the same time. When the Act starts, you’ll see the exact times in-client for your division.
  • Contender and Invite Playoffs: The top teams in Contender and Invite divisions qualify for playoffs. The playoff finals will be played in best of 3 formats.

VALORANT Premier Weekly Map Rotation & Schedule

The enrollment period for Premier Stage E9A1 begins with the launch of the new Act. The first week of matches will begin on June 27, 2024, and will conclude with the playoffs on August 11, 2024. The maps will rotate every week, and there will be two-day breaks between each week.

The Vandal Skins have always been the favorites of almost all VALORANT players, casual and professional alike. Here are our 15 best Vandal skin picks in VALORANT.

While choosing a good Vandal skin for yourself, you should determine if you like the theme of the skins, the looks, the inspect/equip animations, the finisher, and the firing sounds.

As of this writing, Riot Games has released over 50 different Vandal skins in VALORANT. Among all the skins, some are renowned for their animations, some for their appearances, and some for their features. Although it was tough to narrow it down to a handful, these are our top 15 choices of the best Vandal skins currently available in the game.

15. RGX 11Z Pro Vandal

RGX VandalDescription
Release DateOctober 5, 2021 (patch 3.07)
EditionExclusive
Price2175 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsGreen, Red, Blue, Yellow

We have a very mixed opinion of the RGX 11z Pro Vandal skin. The skin looks pretty ordinary when you see it from afar. However, it kinda looks cool while using it. Overall, the color variants of the RGX bundle do not impress us that much. So, for now, we’ll keep this Vandal at number 15 position.

14. Forsaken Vandal

15. Forsaken Vandal
Credit: Riot Games
Forsaken VandalDescription
Release DateApril 27, 2021 (patch 2.08)
EditionPremium
Price1775 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsGreen, Gold

Forsaken is one of the oldest collections in the game. Although Forsaken Vandal was really popular and trendy at the time, there are way better options nowadays. However, old players like us still have a soft corner for this Vandal as it is connected to some of our nostalgic VALORANT moments. So, we’ll still honor the skin by keeping it on our list. But hey, it’s a great skin nonetheless.

13. Neptune Vandal

14. Neptune Vandal

Neptune VandalDescription
Release DateMay 24, 2022 (patch 4.10)
EditionPremium
Price1775 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsWhite, Black

The base level of Neptune looks all okay. However, the main attraction of the Vandal comes when you upgrade it to Level 2. When you upgrade it, the Vandal literally looks like a portable aquarium. Not to mention, the bullet sound of this gun is also satisfying.

12. Kuronami Vandal

Kuronami VandalDescription
Release DateJanuary 9, 2024 (patch 8.00)
EditionExclusive Edition
Price2375 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsBlue, Purple, White, Black

We love the Kuronami Vandal in every way. The color combination, the sword-like feature carved into the body, the vivid Japanese text on top of it — you name it. But the only drawback we could find with the weapon was how much it cost and how much it looked like a Reaver Vandal. So, for now, we’ll put Kuronami Vandal in the top 12th spot.

11. Prelude to Chaos Vandal

12. Prelude to Chaos Vandal

Prelude to Chaos VandalDescription
Release DateJune 22, 2022 (patch 5.00)
EditionExclusive Edition
Price2175 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsBlack, Green, White, Blue

When you look at the Prelude to Chaos skin from the side, it looks like an ordinary sci-fi Vandal. However, once you get hold of the skin in the game, your perspective of this badass Vandal will change. The animation, sound, and feel of the skin will make you want to buy it; at least, that was the case for us.

10. Origin Vandal

10. Origin Vandal

Origin VandalDescription
Release DateJune 8, 2021 (patch 2.11)
EditionPremium Edition
Price1775 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsGold, Green, Red, White

Origin Vandal is one of our favorite Vandals only because of its insanely unique inspect animation. We’ll have to admit that we’ve died so many times just to inspect the weapon, but it was worth it.

9. Sentinels of Light Vandal

5. Sentinels of Light Vandal
Credit: Riot Games
Sentinels of Light VandalDescription
Release DateJuly 20, 2021 (patch 3.02)
EditionExclusive Edition
Price2175 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsGold, Pink, Green, Blue

We particularly put Sentinels of Light Vandal on this list because of its intricate theme, with gold-silver accents and a rotating crystal like the rifle barrel. Moreover, it is one of the most loved Vandal skins by the community, so how could we ignore them?

8. Araxys Vandal

6. Araxys Vandal
Credit: Riot Games
Araxys VandalDescription
Release DateJanuary 10, 2023 (patch 6.00)
EditionExclusive Edition
Price2175 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsBrown, Purple, Black, White

There are two types of VALORANT fans: ones who like Araxys and ones who don’t. To us, Araxys falls somewhat in the middle. The Vandal looks cool, sure. However, sometimes, it can become too distracting.

7. ChronoVoid Vandal

9. ChronoVoid Vandal
Credit: Riot Games
ChronoVoid VandalDescription
Release DateSeptember 20, 2022 (patch 5.06)
EditionExclusive Edition
Price2175 VP

Color VariantsGrey, Purple, Red, Black

If we’re talking about Vandal’s design and sound, reload animation ChronoVoid is ahead in every department. For some reason, holding ChronoVoid Vandal feels special to us.

6. Glitchpop Vandal

Color VariantsPink, Blue, Red, Gold

If you’re into Cyberpunk or Neon themes, then the Glitchpop Vandal is the one for you. There aren’t many skins that feature these types of themes. Even without the theme, the glitchy skin, the animation, and the shooting sound make the skin one of the greatest.

5. Ion Vandal

7. Ion Vandal

EditionPremium Edition
Price1775 VP
UpgradableYes
Color VariantsWhite, Green, Yellow, Blue

Ion collection has one of the most minimalistic looks compared to other collections. Even then, it is one of the most popular bundles in the game. This is a collection you want to use to improve your gameplay. Moreover, unlike many other collections, the color variants from the Ion Vandal are really cool.

4. Reaver Vandal

Sunset is VALORANT’s latest addition to the competitive map pool. Here are the best agents you should play in Sunset to maximize your winning chance.

Sunset’s map layout encourages you to take a lot of gunfights as Duelists, especially in the middle part, which is a very important area to keep under control for any side. So, naturally, you can play two Duelists on this map. However, make sure to pick at least one Duelist who can flash.

The map also has tons of angles and chokepoints. So, you and your team must always watch your backs; otherwise, flanks may ruin any strategic plays in the equation. However, if you pick one good Sentinel Agent, you’ll be good to go.

Sunset Layout and Agent Choices
credit: valorleaks

The A and B sites have a few entrances, all of which you can block using most Controller Agents’ smokes. Although there are many chokepoints in Sunset, it is not mandatory to have Initiator Agents on your team, provided you have other Agents who can flash. Still, we recommend taking at least one Initiator Agent for hard-cleaning angles.

10 Best Agents to Play on Sunset

Earlier, we talked about what types of Agents fit well in Sunset and how many of each role you should have in your team. But there are many Agents to pick from, and choosing the best one is crucial to winning a match in Sunset.

Thankfully, Sunset has been in the competitive map rotation for quite some time now. Thousands of matches have been played on this map, giving us enough information to know the current meta and which Agents are best on this map. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.

Best Duelists

Reyna

Reyna
CREDIT: RIOT GAMES
  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Soul Harvest
    • Basic: Leer
    • Signatures: Devour, Dismiss
    • Ultimate: Empress

If your team has less than one Initiator, it is a good idea that you have Reyna on your team, especially because of her flashes. As Sunset is a map filled with sharp angles and tight corners, it is a must to have as many flashes as possible. Not to mention, if there are no healer characters like Sage or Skye in a team, you can definitely shine with Reyna in Sunset.

Jett

  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Drift
    • Basic: Cloudburst, Updraft
    • Signature: Tailbind
    • Ultimate: Blade Storm

Jett is irreplaceable for Operator users. Sure, Chamber and Reyna can somewhat fill her shoes. However, they can never effectively replace Jett. So, even after Jett’s continuous nerfs, she can still be a good Duelist for you or your team in Sunset for so many reasons.

Phoenix

Phoenix
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Blaze, Curveball
    • Signatures: Hot Hands
    • Ultimate: Run it Back

Phoenix can be your backup pick if you are thinking about adding another Duelist to your team, although it is not the best option. The Sunset map’s aggressive angles make Phoenix a highly successful agent for bringing out frags. Still, he might not perform well in the higher ranked lobbies.

Best Controllers

Clove

Clove
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Pick me Up, Meddle
    • Signature: Ruse
    • Ultimate: Not Dead Yet

Clove is undoubtedly Sunset’s best Agent right now. You can select just one Duelist for the team if you pick Clove. With the additional space on your team, you can add a Controller or, better yet, a Sentinel Agent to your team.

Omen

Omen
credit: riot games

Abilities:

  • Basic: Shrouded Step, Paranoia
  • Signature: Dark Cover
  • Ultimate: From the Shadows

Omen is the obvious choice for you as the best Controller Agent in Sunset. You can use all of Omen’s utilities effectively on this map. Sunset is a map full of narrow alleys and choke points. So, you can use Omen’s Paranoia to blind enemies hiding behind those angles. Moreover, there are opportunities to create one-way smokes all over the map.

Sunset also has a lot of elevated spaces. Omen can easily reach these points with his Shrouded step. This allows him to play with creative off-angles. Finally, using his ability From the Shadows, you can fast-rotate whenever needed.

Brimstone

Brimstone
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Incendiary, Stim Beacon
    • Signature: Sky Smoke
    • Ultimate: Orbital Strike

Unlike some open maps, Sunset has many chokepoints and narrow entries, making it easier for Brimstone to shut them down using Sky Smoke. Not to mention, Brimstone’s smoke lasts longer than any other agent’s, which is why you should consider picking up in Sunset.

However, don’t forget his other abilities. Brimstone’s Incendiary is a brutal force in an after-plant situation. On the other hand, with his Ultimate, you can wipe out a full team if they get into a corner.

Best Sentinels

Cypher

Cypher
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Trapwire, Cyber Cage
    • Signature: Spycam
    • Ultimate: Neutral Theft

Cypher can always be an excellent choice for tight maps like Sunset. Moreover, with the recent buffs in patch 7.09, the Moroccan Agent just got better. Cypher’s Trapwires are now unbreakable without any damage instant, making him stronger in locking a site.

Additionally, his Cyber Cage can be used as a second smoke and can create one-ways to slow an enemy push. His abilities are also efficient in attacking sides. With so many angles to cover, Cypher is the ideal choice to keep the flanks under surveillance.

Sage

Sage
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Barrier Orb, Slow Orb
    • Signature: Healing Orb
    • Ultimate: Resurrection

Surprisingly, Sage is also pretty good in Sunset. You may be wondering why we’re not considering Killjoy, who is a meta Agent right now, and you wouldn’t be alone. Although we agree that Killjoy is the meta Sentinel right now, Cypher can easily replace her on this map. So, instead of Killjoy, we suggest you take Sage if you’re willing to pick a second Sentinel in your team.

With Sage, you can not only heal your teammates but also hold down sites and buy enough time for them to come and help you. Moreover, her slow orbs can help you while clearing corners. And with some good lineups, you can also help out your teammates on the Attackers’ side.

Best Initiators

Skye

Skye
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Regrowth, Trailblazer
    • Signature: Guiding Light
    • Ultimate: Seekers

Skye is a good Initiator agent for any map, including Sunset. Fade and Skye are pretty similar in terms of playstyle, especially on the Sunset map. Skye’s Trailblazer can clear the deadly spots while Guiding Light forces enemies out of the site. Moreover, if you’re playing a hard support role, Skye is a better option than Fade, as she can heal allies using Regrowth.

Fade

Fade
  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Terror Tail
    • Basic: Prowler, Seize
    • Signature: Haunt
    • Ultimate: Nightfall

Fade is an excellent Initiator for maps like Sunset. Thanks to her Prowlers, you won’t have to be constantly aware of the corners on this map. After you chase your enemies down, your Duelist can take charge and clear the first few corners. Even if you’re playing alone, you can use Seize to prevent enemies from leaving that angle.

After clearing corners, pushing into the site or retaking it is also important. In that case, Fade’s Haunt will clear the path by either revealing the enemies or removing them from the vital spots in Sunset.

Best Team Compositions in Sunset

We’ve given you some ideas regarding what Agents to pick in Haven. Now, let’s talk about the team composition. Good or bad, not every Agent syncs with other Agents. For example, if you have Skye on your team, then there’s almost no point in picking up Sage. Instead, go for the other two Sentinels that we recommended and vice versa. The same rule will also apply to flash and smoke Agents.

With that in mind, here’s our recommendation for the best team compositions in Haven:

  • Team composition 1: Clove, Reyna, Omen, Cypher, Skye
  • Team composition 2: Pheonix, Jett, Omen, Sage, Fade
  • Team composition 3: Jett, Omen, Clove, Cypher, Sage
  • Team composition 4: Reyna, Phoenix, Omen, Cypher, Sage

Final Verdict

Every Agent has unique and useful abilities in VALORANT. If utilized properly, any Agent can lead you to a foolproof win. However, some Agents are always preferred over others for particular maps. This best Agent’s list on Sunset is based on the Agent’s abilities and how well they fit with the map’s layout and structure. So try them out, and see what works for you best in VALORANT’s latest Sunset map.

Want to know who the best Agents are in Breeze? Stay with us until the end and find out which characters can give you the most wins on this map.

Unlike most other maps in VALORANT, Breeze does not have any noticeable gimmick. The map does not have teleporters, rotating doors, or huge Ziplines. What it has is its vastness and big map design. So, naturally, Breeze favors a lot of aim duels between two teams, and having two Duelists will give you a better chance of winning the match if your team is confident enough about your aim.

You’ll also need a good Initiator to support the Duelists. So, without a doubt, you need an Initiator who can open up spaces and make way for the Duelists in Breeze. To watch flanks on the Attackers’ side and lock down sites on the Defenders’ side, you should have at least one Sentinel Agent on your team. And to control the big map, you’ll obviously need a Controller Agent who can block off many angles with their smokes or walls.

10 Best Agents on Breeze

We talked about what types of Agents fit well in Breeze and how many of each role you should have on your team. But there are many Agents to pick from, and choosing the best one is crucial to winning a match in Breeze.

Thankfully, Breeze has been in the competitive map rotation for a long time now. Thousands of matches have been played on this map, giving us enough information to know the current meta and which Agents are best on this map. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.

Best Duelists

Reyna

Reyna
  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Soul Harvest
    • Basic: Leer
    • Signatures: Devour, Dismiss
    • Ultimate: Empress

Reyna, as a Duelist, needs no introduction. She is good on almost every map. However, the reason we picked Reyna as our primary Duelist in Breeze is because of her flashes and the ability to use the Dismiss ability to get picks in long-range engagements and get back safely.

Jett

Jett
  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Drift
    • Basic: Cloudburst, Updraft
    • Signature: Tailbind
    • Ultimate: Blade Storm

Jett is irreplaceable for Operator users. Sure, Chamber and Reyna can somewhat fill her shoes. However, they can never effectively replace Jett. So, even after Jett’s continuous nerfs, she can still be a good Duelist for you or your team in Breeze for so many reasons.

Neon

Neon
  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Energy
    • Basic: Fast Lane, Relay Bolt
    • Signature: High Gear
    • Ultimate: Overdrive

Breeze is a huge map with open spaces, making Neon the best potent Duelist on the map. She can roam around the map and gather useful intel about enemies using her High Gear. Moreover, she can easily fake them by showing her presence in one place and then regrouping with her teammates.

Although her Relay Bolt isn’t that useful in Breeze, having the ability to stun enemies comes in handy in many 1v1 duels. Neon’s Fast Lane walls can help her and her teammates enter or retake any side.

Best Controllers

Viper

Viper
  • Abilities:
    • Passive: Fuel, Toxin
    • Basic: Snake Bite, Poison Cloud
    • Signature: Toxic Screen
    • Ultimate: Viper’s Pit

In both defense and offense, Viper’s inventory offers plenty of options for any team. Her Toxic Screen is by far the most crucial ability required for any offensive plan. Viper’s post-plant potential also comes into play due to the number of effective lineups available on Breeze. Even though her Ultimate doesn’t cover many areas, with it, you’ll still be able to make some differences in critical situations.

Clove

Clove
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Pick me Up, Meddle
    • Signature: Ruse
    • Ultimate: Not Dead Yet

Clove has successfully replaced Brimstone as the second-best Controller Agent in Breeze. If you take Clove, you can get away with picking only one Duelist in the team. The extra manpower can be used to pick an extra Controller or, preferably, an extra Sentinel Agent on your team.

Best Sentinels

Cypher

CYPHER
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Trapwire, Cyber Cage
    • Signature: Spycam
    • Ultimate: Neutral Theft

Cypher is a powerful Agent in Breeze. There are countless angles on each side. It is physically almost impossible to hold every angle. But, with Cypher, you can cover multiple angles with his Spycam’s assistance. He can also stay carefree while his Trapwires and Cyber Cages are in action. Not to mention, you can hold off flanks using Cypher while on the attacking side. So, he remains the best Sentinel in Breeze.

Sage

Sage
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Barrier Orb, Slow Orb
    • Signature: Healing Orb
    • Ultimate: Resurrection

Sage’s role in Breeze is quite unique. Since Skye’s heal requires her to get close to her teammates, Sage can heal from longer distances. Also, Sage’s Barrier Orb is necessary to stop early-round attacks. Lastly, Sage’s Resurrection ability cannot be overlooked, and it has more potential than it seems.

Killjoy

Killjoy
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Alarmbot, Nanoswarm
    • Signature: Turret
    • Ultimate: Lockdown

Killjoy is currently the meta-sentinel Agent in VALORANT. Even the VALORANT 2023 Champions Agents’ pick-rate stats prove why she should be an S-Tier Agent. Although many may argue that Killjoy isn’t a very potent character for big maps like Breeze, the new rework opened up so many strategic plays for her.

Best Initiators

Skye

Skye
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Regrowth, Trailblazer
    • Signature: Guiding Light
    • Ultimate: Seekers

As an Initiator Agent, Skye is a natural fit for Breeze. Undoubtedly, Skye has plenty to offer in Breeze. Apart from being an Initiator, she can also fill in as a Duelist when needed. Skye’s Guiding Light and Trailblazer are helpful for any team. Even her Seekers can track down enemies or reveal their directions from long range.

Sova

Sova
  • Abilities:
    • Basic: Owl Drone, Shock Bolt
    • Signature: Recon Bolt
    • Ultimate: Hunter’s Fury

In the European scene, both Skye and Sova are highly favored by S-tier teams like Fnatic or Team Liquid. For lineup enthusiasts, playing Sova on Breeze is like a Blessing. Sova’s value during the post-plant scenario is huge, and his Owl Drone is an excellent alternative to Skye’s Trailblazer ability. Although, in Breeze, Hunter’s Fury is not really effective in most cases.

Best Team Compositions in Breeze

We’ve given you some ideas regarding what Agents to pick in Breeze.

With that in mind, here’s our recommendation for the best team compositions in Breeze:

  • Team composition 1: Reyna, Jett, Viper, Cypher, Sova
  • Team composition 2: Reyna, Clove, Cypher, Skye, Killjoy
  • Team composition 3: Reyna, Viper, Killjoy, Sage, Sova
  • Team composition 4: Jett, Clove, Cypher, Viper, Skye

Why VALORANT Prime Gaming Rewards Stopped?

Like before, Prime Gaming did not renew its partnership/ promotion with Riot Games from March 2024 onwards. As a result, all Riot-associated games like VALORANT and League of Legends stopped receiving Prime Gaming rewards every month.

However, the promotion may continue at any time in the future.

VALORANT is a hero shooter-inspired tactical FPS game where each agent has a unique voice line whenever they use their ultimate abilities.

Riot put in a lot of effort to make each of their agents stand out from the others. From speedster Jett to toxic Viper, every one of them has a unique voice line that demonstrates their personality. In the process, it gives every agent more depth in their character.

Additionally, these ultimate voice lines also behave differently depending on whom you are interacting with at the exact moment when you use your ultimate utility. For example, if your allies are close and you are Raze, the voice line warns your teammates of the incoming rockets. In comparison, your opponents will get an entirely different voice line depending on where the ability was activated.

As such, these voice lines become essential sound cues for incoming attacks. Knowing when to take cover in the case of incoming damage dealing ultimate ability can be the difference between winning or losing a round.

Players of all skill buckets need to remember each of these voice lines in their heads to win rounds.

Here are all the popular agents that VALORANT players prefer over other characters in the game right now.

As of now, VALORANT has introduced 24 playable characters in the game. Among them are 7 duelists, 6 initiators, 5 sentinels, and 6 controllers.

All agents in VALORANT have unique and useful abilities. However, due to the meta changes, balance changes, and map rotation, certain agents remain more favored compared to others. In this article, we’ll highlight 10 such agents that have the highest pick rate in the game right now.

Note: We updated the article on  May 5, 2024.”

1. Reyna

Reyna

Everyone loves to play duelist. So, it is very obvious that a duelist will have the highest pick rate. And Reyna occupies that spot for now. In the last month, 10.8% of the total VALORANT-ranked matches had a Reyna in each team.

2. Clove

Clove

Clove has taken the second spot, surpassing Omen as the second-most-picked agent in the last month. Although it is too early to say if people have been playing Clove because it’s a new agent or she’s going to be the new meta. Nonetheless, it is a breath of fresh air to see someone new on this list.

3. Jett

Jett

There cannot be a top-ten list without mentioning Jett. Despite several nerfs and buffs, Jett is going strong with a 9.2% pick rate across all ranks.

4. Cypher

Cypher

Although Killjoy currently dominates as the favorite Sentinel in the highest-level competitive scene [VCT 2024 Masters], Cypher remains the most picked Sentinel agent in VALORANT with a 7.9% pick rate.

5. Raze

Raze

Raze is unquestionably a good agent, but her abilities make her valuable only on specific maps. Overall, Raze has a 6.6% total pick rate right now. Which is not bad at all.

6. Sage

Sage

Sage is the 6th most-picked agent right now. It is solely because the majority of the VALORANT-ranked players still prefer her, as she is an easy agent to play. Sage had a 6.6% pick rate in the last month.

7. Gekko

Gekko

Gekko is a mid-tier agent who is good only for certain maps. In the past month, Gekko maintained a 5.7% pick rate across all ranks.

8. Omen

Omen

Omen is the only agent to experience a significant pick-rate difference in the last month. Due to Clove’s release, Omen’s pick-rate has gone down to 5.1% from 9.4%. However, players who are still not up-to-date with the meta prefer Omen over Clove.

9. Sova

Sova

It looks like players don’t pick initiators that much in ranked matches, especially in the lower-rank lobbies. However, Sova has somehow managed to squeeze into the number 7 spot with a 5.1% pick rate.

10. Chamber

Chamber

Although Killjoy and Cypher are meta agents right now, Chamber has somehow managed to sneak into the list of the most-picked agents. Chamber maintained a 4.0% pick rate in the last month. Kinda surprising.
