All the Ezreal skins are ranked from worst to best to help you make your buying decision.

Ezreal has been the poster boy for League of Legends for quite some time now. It has both to do with how he has this appealing personality with stylish looks suited for mainstream appeal and also the fact that he is a very well-rounded champion design-wise.

Marksman champions are notoriously known for their squishiness and difficulty in staying alive. LoL is a game where literally everything can one tap your ADC, even the support champions. One of the primary reasons for that is the lack of mobility or a safe escape. Ezreal shines brilliantly among them due to his E, which is basically a flash built-in within his kit.

Which is why Ezreal is one of the most-played champions in the pro scene. Naturally, he is in the limelight, both in solo queues and official LoL events. Added that with his stylish appearance, it’s no wonder he has to have a lot of outfits to wear. Ezreal, along with Lux and Miss Fortune, is the champion with the most number of skins in the game.

And it can be hard to navigate through all of them to decide which one you want to buy, considering they are not that cheap.

In this article, I will try to make your selection process a bit easier by going through each of the skins one by one and giving a subjective yet insightful take as much as I can.

18. Frosted Ezreal

Frosted Ezreal
  • Release Date: July 18, 2010
  • Price: 520 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

This is a very low-effort skin, priced at 520 RP. It offers no new animation, VFX/SFX, etc, to stand out from the base skin. The splash art looks OK at best. The base model has been recolored with an icy blue texture to fit the Winter theme. At that price point, there wasn’t much room anyway.

17. Nottingham Ezreal

Nottingham Ezreal
  • Release Date: March 16, 2010
  • Price: 520 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

Another 520 RP skin that offers little to nothing other than a new Legend of Zelda-themed model. The splash here looks quite pristine, especially Ezreal’s face, which is very recognizable here. The elf ears also suit him in that costume. But the age of the skin shows in-game with no VFX/SFX to complement the Elderwood theme. Therefore, it is ranked just right above the frosted skin.

16. Ace of Spades Ezreal

Ace of Spades Ezreal
  • Release Date: May 20, 2015
  • Price: 750 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

Another low-tier skin with little to no value other than the splash art, which is based on high-stakes card themes, Ezreal being the Ace of the Spades. The model looks quite bland with minimal design. It features model changes and new textures, including a spade symbol on Ezreal’s back and a glowing blue glove with a golden Ace of Spades symbol on his left hand. All in all, there is nothing much to say about it. Get it if you like the model.

15. TPA Ezreal

TPA Ezreal
  • Release Date: May 23, 2013
  • Price: 750 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

It’s a commemorative skin to reminisce about the second Worlds champion, Taipei Assassins. Unlike the modern world skins, this one does not have new animation, recall, visuals, or sound effects. Only the splash art and model are TPA-themed. So, if you are an old-school TPA fan, you may want to keep this keepsake.

14. Striker Ezreal

Striker Ezreal
  • Release Date: June 24, 2010
  • Price: 520 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

Another budget skin. This was released for the World Cup 2010 to celebrate. This is one of the first skins I have received from free loot. Even though I like it for its simplistic athlete style, it doesn’t offer much in terms of VFX or SFX, nor does it have any new animation. So, just like the previous bottom-tier ones, this skin doesn’t have much going for it.

13. Debonair Ezreal

Debonair Ezreal

  • Release Date: August 05, 2014
  • Price: 750 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (8 Different Chromas Available)

All of these are individually purchasable with 165 RP.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

Debonair Ezreal is a relatively popular skin for Ezreal. But again, due to being a 750 RP skin, it got nothing much to offer other than its stylish, sophisticated look in the splash art. But that doesn’t change the non-existent design sense of his in-game model. Lack of differentiation and features also put this skin at the bottom end of my list.

12. Explorer Ezreal

Explorer Ezreal
  • Release Date: October 13, 2010
  • Price: Price: 750 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first:

  • New Model

Just like the other 750 RP skins, Explorer Ezreal does not offer anything new other than a new model. However, I will keep it at the top of the bottom tier list due to how well-designed the splash art looks. The in-game model also doesn’t look half bad with with his outfit and accessories having a distinct visibility. Due to such fine details accompanied by nice coloring, this deserves the best of the worst spots in this list.

11. Faerie Court Ezreal

Faerie Court Ezreal
  • Release Date: March 23, 2023
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (9 different Chromas available)

Among these, the Winsome Chroma can be Hextech crafted during limited-time exclusive events. The ruby one is acquired through purchasing the bundle.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Ezreal is a fairy, which is very fitting since he has been one of the girls for a while now. The visuals and sound effects of this skin are very pretty. The pink hair, in particular, looks very beautiful with Ezreal. Also, the mixture of various shades of pink, blue, and orange with that butterfly wing is pleasant to look at. However, the in-game animation and particle effects don’t have much unique to offer like some of his other, better skins, such as the arcade one. This is why I put it under the fairly average category.

10. PsyOps Ezreal

PsyOps Ezreal
  • Release Date: September 03, 2020
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Finally, we are starting to get to relatively better skin territory. While PsyOps Ezreal is not the best example of fairly good skin, it has quite a few things to show. Like other epic skins, it has a new animation, VFX, sound effects, and recall animation. The coloring on the VFX particles, especially the purple shade emanating from his body, looks very clean. His gauntlet gives sci-fi tech vibes, and the fit looks electric. All in all, this is a skin that doesn’t do anything extraordinary, yet I would suggest purchasing it if you like how the model looks and moves in the game.

9. Heartsteel Ezreal

Heartsteel Ezreal

  • Release Date: November 8, 2023
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (9 different Chromas available)

Among these, the Ruby Chroma is bundle-exclusive, whereas the Rockstar is only craftable during special limited-time events. The rest of them are individually purchasable for 165 RP each.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

This is Ezreal’s latest skin from the HEARTSTEEL band, the newest boyband Riot introduced to the game’s universe. I think it’s a fairly decent skin because of its visual effects in-game, showing the Heartsteel band’s theme colors. The ultimate, in particular, looks really cool with a DJ mixer drawn on it. The recall animation looks amazing as well, with Ezreal on the stage, having all the lights on him, which is very fitting with his attention-seeking personality. However, we have seen better musical band skins with K/DA and True Damage. I expected more from a 2023 skin. That’s why it’s at the average zone of my ranking.

8. Pajama Guardian Ezreal

Pajama Guardian Ezreal
  • Release Date: November 21, 2018
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Quotes
  • New Recall Animation

The Pajama Guardian skin line is very popular, mostly for the girl champs. But Ezreal gets a pass into the Girls’ night thanks to his quirky and fun nature. To be honest, that pajama looks quite comfy to sleep with. The model looks great, with new VFX, SFX, and additional quotes to keep you entertained. The comfortable Pajama may or may not get you through tough times in-game.

7. Porcelain Protector Ezreal

Porcelain Protector Ezreal

  • Release Date: January 26, 2022
  • Price: 1820 RP
  • Chroma: Yes (6 Different Chromas Available)

Among these 6 chromas, Ruby is available only with the bundle. The rest of them are purchaseable individually at 195 RP each.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New SFX
  • New Voice-over
  • New Recall Animation

Now, we have finally reached the actually good skins. Porcelain Protector Ezreal is based on Porcelain, a symbol of aristocracy when it comes to ceramics. The skin does live up to its name, as you can see just how sophisticated and cultural the splash art looks. The in-game model has a lot of things to offer.

New blue-white porcelain particles in Ezreal’s ability animation with sound effects resembling vibrating porcelain ceramics, the skin is a splendor indeed. Also, Ezreal can summon porcelain pot and the dragon in his emotes. The dragon spirit is also visible during his Ultimate cast, making it look majestic.

This is a great skin to buy if you are looking for legendary skin and like the colors on it.

6. Prestige PsyOps Ezreal

Prestige PsyOps Ezreal
  • Release Date: September 03, 2020
  • Price: Special (Should be 125 ME on First Unvault)
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

Prestige PsyOps Ezreal takes everything well with the regular PsyOps skin and enhances it further. New golden particles and hues on Ezreal’s Q, W, and E look very energetic and divine. The sound effects are quite detailed as you can hear nice little details of the metallic material from his gauntlet when he fires Q or R. More importantly, movement with this skin just feels really good. Personally speaking, this is one of the better-looking prestige skins out there.

5. Star Guardian Ezreal

Star Guardian Ezreal
  • Release Date: September 06, 2017
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation
  • Additional Quotes
  • New voice filter

This is a must for fans of the magical anime girl trope, which is hugely popular in Japanese culture. With anime being a pop-cultural phenomenon, this skin is almost a sure hit with the fans. Besides its theme, the skin stands out from a technical perspective as well. The visual effects are magical and stunning, with bright particles emanating all around. The animation is also fluid, and movement offers a sense of satisfaction, not to mention the Haruhi Suzumiya-inspired dance it has. The sound effects also amplify the anime experience. Get this skin if your budget is 1350 RP.

4. SSG Ezreal

SSG Ezreal
  • Release Date: July 20, 2018
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation

SSG Ezreal is designed as a tribute to the Samsung Galaxy team’s victory in the 2017 World Championship. The skin features a sleek and modern look, with a color scheme that represents the team’s branding. While it does have a contemporary and stylish appearance, the focus is more on commemorating the esports achievement.

The skin includes several unique visual and sound effects, animations, and a new recall animation. All of the new features align with a distinct style resembling the uniqueness of Samsung Galaxy and the historic identity forged by its brilliant victory against SKT T1 in the 2017 World Championship. This is one of the best skins for Ezreal to get, even if you are not a fan of SSG, because of its technical brilliance.

3. Arcade Ezreal

Arcade Ezreal
  • Release Date: August 24, 2016
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation
  • Additional Quotes

Arcade Ezreal is a love letter for the old-school fans of arcade games. The good old Tetris, Mario, and Sonic, among others, were the foundation for modern gaming. Arcade is still a very popular gaming aesthetic at present.

This skin perfectly encapsulates that through its use of pixelated game elements in the animation. For example, one of Arcade Ezreal’s emotes shows him fighting against a pixel dragon with a damage score counter showing ‘9999’ in old-school graphics. For 1350 RP, this skin is a steal.

2. Pulsefire Ezreal

Pulsefire Ezreal
  • Release Date: June 29, 2012
  • Price: 3250 RP
  • Chroma: No

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation
  • New Voice-over
  • Transformation
  • Extras

Released almost 10 years ago, Pulsefire Ezreal is the first Ultimate skin in League of Legends. It costs a lot, but the skin is still worth it after so many years. The skin has cutting-edge techno vibes all around, with 3 transformations built in. The cybernetic gear looks very clean and crisp with the in-game model.

All the abilities’ visuals are overhauled to match the blue plasma particles. The sound of pulse firing is very satisfying to hear as you land your abilities. All in all, this skin, being the first of the ultimate tier, lives up to its reputation even in 2023. If you want to get an Ezreal skin that has great VFX, fluid movement, and sounds nice with customizability, this is the one to buy.

1. Battle Academia Ezreal

Battle Academia Ezreal
  • Release Date: May 15, 2019
  • Price: 1820 RP
  • Chroma: 1
Battle Academia Ezreal Chroma

Battle Academia Ezreal has only 1 chroma. However, this mythic chroma is only available for Hextech crafting during certain limited-time events.

Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first.

  • New Model
  • New Animation
  • New VFX (Visual Effects)
  • New Sound Effects
  • New Recall Animation
  • New Voice-over
  • Transformation

Despite not being an ultimate skin, this skin does more than that. Battle Academia Ezreal is probably objectively the best skin in the game for various reasons. Firstly, the theme of the ‘Schoolgoer Anime teen with superpowers’ trope is presented very creatively with very stylish outfits and gear. All his abilities have particle effects brimming with youth energy. The use of red, blue, and dark colors goes well in showcasing the ability’s raw power.

The attention to detail in this skin is quite impressive. For instance, when Ezreal’s ult is at rank 1, he says, “I hope this works,” in contrast with rank 3 when he screams the ability, signifying his newly gained confidence, just like how a shounen anime protagonist undergoes a character development arc.

The animation, sound effects, new voice lines – everything fits perfectly with the theme as well as in a vacuum. For a skin worth 1820 RP, this is probably the most value-giving cosmetic.
