Data miners and leakers have found more evidence of Season 21 legend “Alter” in the game files.

With the Apex Legends Season 20 launch, Respawn mistakenly revealed an unreleased legend’s avatar through the devstream. The name was also leaked in one of the dev-gameplay footage. Apart from that, we had little information about Alter.

However, with the Shadow Society collection event update, a truckload of content was added to the game. And thanks to a leaker named Osvaltadore, we now know more information regarding the legend “Alter.”

Better Look at Alter’s Appearance

Respawn went with a very different look with Alter than we’ve seen before. Alter has a spiky hairstyle. She wears a mask around her eyes or covers them with black colors, giving her a scary look, kind of like Nightwing. Not to mention her biggest feature, the metallic tentacle, which resembles Doctor Octopus’ tentacle.

Alter Abilities

Apart from Alter’s picture, the leaker also shared her abilities in the game. Her abilities are:

  • Gift from the Rift: Can remotely interact with a deathbox to claim one item. Cannot be armor.
  • Void Passage: Creates a portal passageway through a surface.
  • Void Nexus: Creates a regroup point that all allies can remotely interact with to open a phase tunnel back to that location.

Alter Legendary Skins

From the 6 legendary skins you can see below, 4 of them are base and 2 of them are recolors. The first one [green/ top-left] and fifth one [purple/ bottom-middle] are the two recolors, the rest are base legendaries.

Alter Release Date

Alter will join the Apex Legends roster with the Season 21 launch on May 7, 2024.

After Loba, Octane will have the privilege of receiving the prestigious mythic skin in Apex Legends.

There’s been a rumor that Respawn will stop releasing legend-specific heirlooms in Apex Legends. With the release of the Cobalt Katar heirloom, the rumor has kind of been proven true, as no new legend heirloom has been introduced in this season yet. So, players were worried that the developers might treat mythic skins the same way.

However, new leaks have revealed that this won’t be the case. Data miners like HYPERMYST have already revealed the next mythic skin in line, and none other than Octane will receive it. Here’s everything we know about Octane’s mythic “Apex Riptide.”

Apex Riptide Final Look

Like every other mythic skin, Apex Riptide will have three tiers. The developers have given Octane a cyborg look with each of the tiers. All of the skins from each tier make Octane look like he came straight out of a sci-fi movie. People who have already seen the images complained about the tier 3 skin looking worse than tier 2. However, you may have a different opinion.

Apex Riptide Divetrail

The mythic skin’s divetrail is pretty similar to the Season 2 diamond trail. Two shark faces will accompany you when you equip the trail.

Apex Riptide Finisher

The finisher is going to be the most exciting cosmetic item of the Apex Riptide mythic for sure. The finisher clearly demonstrates Octane’s badass personality. I bet many people will buy the prestige just for the finisher alone.

Release Date

Currently, Apex Riptide has no confirmed release date. However, the skin will surely come out during season 20, alongside the next Collection Event.

A new leak from KralRindo suggests that Apex Legends will no longer release Heirlooms for the remaining Legends.

Currently, in Season 20, Apex Legends has released 19 unique and 3 recolored Heirlooms. However, as there are 25 Legends, 6 of them still don’t have any of these mythic-rarity melee items in the game.

As Respawn releases a new Heirloom for each Legend in every season, players are always excited to grab their favorite Legend’s Heirloom in the following season. However, that might not be happening from now on.

A recent leak from KralRindo, posted that Respawn will no longer release character-specific Heirlooms in Apex Legends. This means that the 6 remaining Legends: Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Vantage, Catalyst, Ballistic, and Conduit, won’t receive their Heirlooms for the foreseeable future.

In Season 19, Respawn released the Buster Sword in the Final Fantasy event. Despite its price tag, the melee was worth the hype. So, naturally, the revenue was also higher. For that reason, Apex Legends may have decided to scrap the Legend-specific Heirlooms for good.

The upcoming Heirloom, which we’ve already seen in the Breakout launch trailer, will be the next mythic-tier melee in the game. According to the data provided by leaker, it will be coming in the next season and will be priced similarly to the Buster Sword.

All of that being said, the new Heirloom will be very customizable. And, upgrading it completely will cost about $700 USD, while this is obviously optional.

KralRindo also noted that Respawn did not make this decision. Thus, it is highly probable that EA is involved in some way.

Given that KralRindo explicitly stated that the data was not datamined, the information disclosed most likely came from an insider. As Respawn recently started taking feedback from the community, if they see enough negative responses, they might revert back to the old system. So, take it with a grain of salt.

Following the introduction of the popular Heat Sink Flatline recolor, a recent leak from data miners confirms that the Season 7 R99 will also receive a recolor variant soon.

One of Apex Legends’ biggest appeals is the refreshing cosmetic items that Respawn offers to its players. These cosmetic items are made available through various events, stand-alone sales, the Battle Pass, and other means.

Players enjoy these cosmetic items because they bring a degree of variety to the game. However, not all skins are created equally. Despite their uniqueness and variation, some skins stand out from the crowd.

The Reactive Battle Pass skins are one example of such skins. These skins not only look outstanding but are also relatively rare. Because, unlike other skins, they never appear in the store rotation. However, Respawn has suddenly started bringing them back.

Season 7 Reactive R99 to Get a Recolor

It was previously made clear by Respawn that the Battle Pass reactive skins would never return to the game. However, Respawn proved it untrue by releasing the Jadeite Retribution Peacekeeper, a recolor of the Season 3 Battle Pass reactive PK, during the Season 16 Celestial Sunrise Collection Event.

Sure, releasing a reactive skin recolor during the Collection Event was one exception. However, Respawn did not abandon its plan of reintroducing these skins entirely. As evidenced by Season 20, Respawn is literally giving away the Season 4 Flatline Reactive Flatline recolor skin for absolutely free!

While players are already thrilled with Respawn for giving them the greatest Flatline skin in the game for free, a new leak has surfaced indicating that Season 7 Reactive R99 is in the game files.

The image was shared by Thordan Smash, a prominent leaker in the community. Although you may think that the color just looks like the S7 R99 reactive skin, upon further examination, you can notice the skin name, which is “r99_react_v20_ascension_rt02.” The rt02 indicates it is a recolor version of the original.

Apart from Thordan, the fact that it was a recolor was also confirmed by the leaker, HYPERMYST. The leaker also mentioned that the recolor version of the Reactive R99 will be coming “soon.” So, it is likely that, similar to Season 20, the upcoming season will reward the players with this skin for completing specific seasonal challenges. However, as this is just a leak, it is better to take it with a grain of salt.

Fuse gets a makeover with the Steeled Demon cosmetic in Apex. There are also other surprises!

Breakout has arrived, and there is much to be excited about. Apex Legends feels like a new game with a different in-game progression system. There are also changes to armor and the addition of perks. However, Respawn does best with the cosmetics, and the arrival of the Steeled Demon-themed bundle is no exception.

Fuse has been a fan favorite for his bold personality for a while now. So, he seemed to be a great option for a thematic bundle store sale. This is the first of many themed events and cosmetic sales that Breakout has to offer.

Data miners and leakers have revealed the majority of the upcoming skins that will be released in Season 20, and more will be leaked with the upcoming patches. The mega changes to the game do not take the spotlight away from Respawn’s new approach to cosmetics. The rumored skin packs and bundles are expected to become fan favorites sooner rather than later.

Respawn has decided to add a second version of the Octane heirloom.

Apex Legends is on a roll with the updates. Constant leaks have suggested huge changes in the upcoming seasons. From armor changes to perk systems, Season 20 will shake up the game like never before. Leaks have also revealed that Octane will be getting a recolor of his original heirloom, too.

Apex Legends Season 19 is coming to an end. Content-wise, the season was pretty bland. So, the majority of the community is pretty happy it is getting over soon. The breath of fresh air now comes with heirlooms, previous reactive skins, and new game modes.

Octane Heirloom Recolor

Octane was the first legend added to the game after the original 8. The Speed Demon was your go-to movement pick with added style points. His butterfly knife encapsulated this trait as a stylish and tricky weapon. In the recent leaks, it has been confirmed that Octane will receive a recolored version of his heirloom.

The recolor might see the usual green stim replaced with a bluish-purple liquid. The update might also come with new and updated animations, as with previous recolors. Octane is one of the more popular legends in the game, and giving him a new toy to play with makes more sense.

With the new direction of Apex, previous skins are slowly being reintroduced as recolors for newer players. By introducing recolored heirlooms, there will be a recognizable difference between the legacy players and the new wave of collectors.

The next addition to the Apex roster is seemingly named Alter. When will they debut?

The tail end of Apex Legends Season 19 is ramping up with multiple leaks for the next content cycle. Respawn knows that they have to reconsider what they are putting into each Season. Recent leaks suggest the game is getting a massive overhaul, and the latest addition to the leaks is the anticipated new Legend.

The last legend to be added was Conduit in Season 19. It was just a matter of time before the details of the next legend dropped. Surprisingly, it is not the most exciting news in the Apex community, which is a huge plus!

Apex Legends’ Roster to Add “Alter”

The hype around the update is at an all-time high. Adding to that, now there are leaks of the newest Legend as well. Reportedly, Alter is the newest legend that will join the ranks in Season 21. Twitter user HYPERMYST came in clutch once again, reporting that the newest legend is already going through testing.

The legend portrait is right next to Valkyrie. So, it is fair to assume that “Alter” will be Apex’s 7th Skirmisher legend. The name could be deduced from the kill feed where automated messages show the name “Alter”. The extent of the leaks ends here, and there is still no information about the abilities or the lore of the character. Apex will be introducing its 26th playable legend with the addition of Alter. Fans can expect some new gameplay mechanics, although it is hard to tell without more leaked information.

Season 20 is bringing more disruption as leaked replicator changes are astonishing!

As Season 19 is reaching its climax, fans of Apex are awaiting the changes for the next update cycle. The leaks are getting more intense as radical changes are keeping the player base on their feet. Replicators aren’t safe either, and changes to their utility should be welcome.

Since its release, Respawn has brought a ton of new content into Apex Legends every season, including Legends, Maps, WeaponsHeirlooms, Skins, Limited Time Modes, and more. Most of the time, they also take user feedback into account when adjusting features and content. The recent backlash from recycled content and gameplay loop must’ve been enough for Respawn to come out with such drastic measures.

Replicator Changes: Crafting Materials Removed

Previously, there were tubes of crafting materials near and around spawning replicators. Using the replicators required collecting enough materials obtained through these vats or looting crates in the outlands. In Season 20, the rumored changes are that the material vats around the map will be removed, and materials will be collected naturally as you progress in the game.

The contents of the replicator are also changing, as it will focus on support items like med kits and batteries. They are set to become single-use as well, so you have to really strategize on what you might need instead of just spamming cheap items.

This kind of change is undoubtedly going to make replicators much more valuable. Previously, they were not as useful, only used to craft the purple tier weekly items that were moved into it from the ground. Now, controlling a replicator might be more useful.

Season 4 battle pass reactive Flatline has been the most sought-after skin in Apex Legends. Now, you might get the chance to snatch it for free!

In Apex Legends, once the battle pass expires, it is no longer possible to receive those skins anymore. So, skins like the Season 4 Flatline battle pass reactive skin are very valuable since you can no longer unlock those after the season ends. Newer players have wanted a way to unlock or buy those long-lost skins for a while now. The player base was also much smaller compared to now, making those skins extra valuable.

Respawn is rumored to be adding a paid recolor of the flatline skin and many others. However, other pressing issues got in the way, and the idea was reportedly scrapped. Now, after so many years, there’s finally a way for players to get their hands on their favorite past skins, that too for free!

Free Reactive Flatline Battle Pass Skin

There are a lot of changes planned for the next season of Apex Legends. From armor changes to legend perks, the game is set to be a new experience. Adding to that, the Season 20 battle pass will have a free skin, which is a recolor of the current flatline reactive skin.

Anyone who levels up the battle pass will be able to unlock this skin. You will only need to complete the in-game challenges. The skin is said to be a mix of white and gold colors with a reddish tint as the reactive colors.

With the addition of reactive skins in the battle pass, Respawn is changing the expectations of the player base. Previously, these kinds of skins were very unique and, therefore, locked behind paywalls like premium passes or bundles. Players can now be hopeful that past skins that were locked behind battle pass rewards may be obtainable through future events or rewards!
