]]>Since VALORANT‘s release in June 2020, Riot Games has changed the game in every patch. The developers add new agents, change agents’ abilities, and maps to the game with every major update. Currently, there are 14 playable maps in VALORANT, including four Team Deathmatch maps. Pearl, Haven, and Fracture are out of the rotation from Standard and Competitive matches, but they can be played in the Custom matches.
Riot Games is currently focused on releasing the upcoming agent Clove on the day of the VCT 2024 Masters Grand Final on March 24, 2024. However, the developers might also reveal a new map in the game as one VALORANT player accidentally discovered a map during some coding experiments.

Reddit user Impossible_Ad1362 posted on the official VALORANT page that they were coding a web-crawling bot for their client and discovered the image of the new map. The bot downloaded and indexed content from a web page after the Redditor used the web crawler on VALORANT’s official website.
New map leak? discovery while coding a crawling bot

The bot could get all the maps as wallpapers, but they only noticed Icebox, Ascent, Split, Bind, and Haven on the maps section of the website. However, among the wallpapers, there was one new picture named “ValorantWallpaper_Bastion_thumbnail.jpg.”
The Reddit user thought the missing maps were being added as wallpapers while the website was being updated. Although the pictures are not yet available to the public, the Bastion map is somewhat similar to Fracture, which is currently out of the map rotation. However, it is unclear if Bastion will be added to the game as a Team Deathmatch map or a new standard VALORANT map.

]]>As is tradition, VALORANT releases a new skin bundle with every patch. Just recently, the developers released MK.VII Liberty into the game. Just when it was about to get old, yet another bundle is replacing the hype.
With the new Act coming, VALORANT will release a bunch of new cosmetic items through Battle Pass and stand-alone skin bundles. Riot Games has already revealed the Primordium bundle that is about to come with the Act launch.
However, just now, we received a glimpse of another skin bundle that may come with Episode 8 Act 2 as well. According to ValorLeaks, the skin bundle is called Fortune’s Hand.

For now, the leaker has only revealed the attached image for the bundle. Other information, such as the bundle’s price, its edition, and release date, is still unknown. Nonetheless, based on the look of the bundle, we feel that it will be a Select edition bundle.
The available items in the Fortune’s Hand bundle:
Don’t be fooled by its edition, though. The golden and black color combination with the touch of white accent is already giving the skin a glorious vibe. The melee skin is also something to look for. As VALORANT has been releasing some “meh” skins and melee skins recently, the Fortune’s Hand melee may catch many people’s attention.
What do you think about the bundle? Is it something that you’d buy, or give it a hard pass and pray that it never shows up in your Night Market?

]]>The post Chamber Might Get Back in the Meta as he Gets Major Buffs in 8.03 Patch appeared first on GameRiv.
]]>VALORANT is a popular hero-based competitive FPS shooter. Here, agents are divided into four categories, each carrying an individual role. Among them, the Sentinels are mainly known for their defensive capabilities. However, there was one agent who changed the concept of sentinel agents.
Chamber was first added into VALORANT with Episode 3 Act 3. Even though he belongs to Sentinels, his abilities are more offense-based rather than defense. Soon, the French weapons designer had become a meta pick, both in the ranked and pro scene.
Chamber’s pick rate was so dominant that Riot had to come up with a major Nerf to change the meta and keep other sentinel agents viable. The Nerfs were so deadly that Chamber meta almost ended. Since then, the VALORANT community has eagerly been waiting for the scene to change for their favorite agent. Finally, Riot is coming up with some major Chamber buffs.

Currently, VALORANT patch 8.03 is being tested on the PBE servers. According to the PBE patch note, Chamber is seeing some changes in his abilities. The main changes are coming to both of his gun abilities – Headhunter and Tour De Force.
With all of these coming changes, the chances of the Chamber’s pick rate rising again are enhanced. These alterations will surely impact the Chamber’s ongoing playstyle. Even though the numbers are still less than the time when Chamber was a reckoning force, these are still effective buffs. So, the possibility of Chamber to come back to the meta again is surely high.

]]>As VALORANT has a huge playerbase, the developers like to cater to all communities worldwide. This is one of the reasons why the VALORANT community appreciates the developers so much.
So, with the new lunar year approaching, Riot Games is going to maintain its tradition and release a brand new skin bundle following a similar theme to previous years. Thankfully, leakers such as VALORANT Leaks and VALORANT Updates have already given us a sneak peek of how the bundle will look.

Based on the leaks, it seems very clear that this new skin bundle took inspiration from some previously released skin bundles. To me, it looked like the Vandal skin is a mixture of VALORANT Championship 2022 Phantom and 2023 Vandal. However, there’s no denying that the melee skin from this bundle was clearly inspired by the Episode 6 Act 1 Venturi knife.
According to the leakers, the Xerofang bundle will be a Premium Edition bundle. If that’s the case, expect to pay 1775 VP for each skin and 3550 VP for the melee. There’s no estimated price for the entire bundle as of now.
There is no confirmed release date for the bundle. However, expect the 2024 Xerofang bundle to be released either on February 6 or February 13, 2024.

]]>VALORANT is a 5v5 strategic shooter developed by Riot Games. Mostly known for League of Legends, Riot’s take on the FPS genre has been a widely successful attempt. Since its launch, VALORANT has become one of the most popular PC games worldwide.
Like Counter Strike, VALORANT is a competitive centred game. Currently only available on PC, VALORANT has no controller support in normal lobbies. Although a few players could find a workaround to the no-controller policy, there has been no official support. However, in a recent file overview, miners were able to find a hint of controller support, which might be part of an upcoming update.

VALORANT’s gameplay model prioritizes mouse and keyboard due to its slow pace and precise aiming mechanics. Moreover, most weapons in the game feature erratic recoil patterns designed for the mouse only. But in a recent Twitter post, VALORANT Leaks & News shared a file containing keywords linking official controller support for the game.
However, a large chunk of FPS enthusiasts love to play with controllers. In VALORANT, a streamer named Dasnerth reached the highest rank in Radiant using a controller workaround. However, he only used Judge as his primary weapon due to its simple aiming and firing mechanics.
With a full-fledged mobile port on the way, if VALORANT adds official controller support, it might attract many new players. Console controller players are always eager to find new live service games to try out, and VALORANT, being a free game, might become a massive go-to destination.
Moreover, VALORANT’s beautiful cosmetics might be an additional point for the game’s popularity if it gets controller support. However, without aim assist, controller players might need to put in many hours into the game before becoming good or rising through the ranks. Take this with a grain of salt, as these are just speculation from file leaks.

Since VALORANT’s release, the game has seen dozens of skin bundles released. Each of these bundles has unique designs, features, and characteristics that cater to different types of player bases.
In the 7.12 patch, VALORANT released the Overdrive skin bundle. Many players chose not to purchase it because it was an Exclusive Edition skin with a high price tag. However, don’t be disheartened, as a brand new skin bundle is coming yet again in an upcoming patch that may make your day.

The Kuronami Vandal reminds me a lot of the Reaver Vandal at first glance. However, it is only for the purple variant. The White, black, and blue color variants look nothing like Reaver.
By the look of it, the Kuronami skin bundle seems to be a Premium Edition collection. If that’s the case, expect to pay 8700 VP for the whole bundle. If you wish to buy the weapons separately, you’ll have to spend 1775 VP for each weapon skin and 3550 VP for the melee.
Kuronami skin bundle is set to release with Episode 8 Act 1, which will go live on January 9, 2024.
