The release of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video and the severe price reductions placed on many Fallout games to coincide with the show’s premiere are primarily responsible for the massive increase in sales of Fallout 4. The TV show was released on April 12 on Amazon Prime Video and met with widespread critical acclaim, with a current Rotten Tomatoes rating of 94% and an audience score of 88%.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s teaser trailer has been leaked, and the game will be released later in 2024. IGN accidentally leaked the trailer on Wednesday via the website’s video player, confirming its later release this year. The sequel was scheduled to be revealed on Thursday, April 18, 2024, by Warhorse Studios, the studio behind 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

In the 20-second leaked teaser trailer, we see an older Henry (the main character from the first game) resenting his wish to achieve greater and better things and ‘become more than a peasant.’ Although IGN removed the video from the website, you can still check out the teaser trailer on Reddit.

PlayStation announced that Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the first game to use the new PlayStation overlay on PC, which will include the friends list, trophies, settings, etc. With the release of Ghost of Tsushima, PlayStation is bringing Trophy support on PC for the first time for a PlayStation PC title.

Players can obtain Trophies by logging into their PSN accounts on PC. While playing the game, players can earn PlayStation Trophies, just like on the PlayStation consoles. In addition, there will be full support for Achievements on Steam and Epic Games Store. The list of trophies is the same as that of the PlayStation 5 version, but it’s unclear if the list will be treated as separate from the PS5 version.

In addition to bringing Trophies and other options to PC, PlayStation has also announced that Ghost of Tsushima will have cross-platform play between PlayStation and PC. The cross-platform play can be accessed through the game’s Legends mode, which will require a PlayStation Network account.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut will launch on PC on May 16, 2024.

2K and Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive is set to lay off around 600 employees across the company.

Take-Two Interactive, the publisher behind Grand Theft Auto, and the parent company of Rockstar Games and 2K has announced that the company has decided to lay off around 5% of its workforce or around 600 employees. The company announced in a statement on Tuesday that the identified in-development game projects would be canceled as a result of the budget cuts.

According to a filing made on Tuesday, the company expects to spend up to $200 million as part of the downsizing effort, which includes up to $140 million in project cancellations and $35 million in employee-related expenses. In addition, this decision will save around $160 million for Take-Two Interactive.

CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick had stated earlier in the year that the company was considering reducing costs, but he also stated at the time that there were “no current plans” for layoffs. Moreover, the company launched a previous “cost reduction program” in February of last year with the goal to save $50 million annually. That decision resulted in a round of layoffs in the following month, affecting several companies.

An insider claimed that the State of Decay 3 will be revealed in Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Showcase.

WindowsCentral’s Jez Corden recently teased on Twitter that the State of Decay 3 could appear at the Xbox Showcase in June. Corden took to Twitter saying that he is excited about Gears 6 making an appearance at the showcase and added that he is also excited about another game. In his tweet, he used the term ‘State’ as a tease for the game, which could only indicate State of Decay.

State of Decay 3 was first revealed at the Xbox Showcase in 2020, but there has been no official update from Undead Labs or Xbox since then. In March 2022, Phil Spencer said on the XboxEra podcast, “Looking at State of Decay 3, I’m incredibly excited about some of the advancements they’re going to make.”

Earlier today, several journalists and insiders revealed that Gears 6 will be shown at the Xbox Showcase this year. So, State of Decay 3 could also appear during the Xbox event.

New leaks have claimed that Xbox is reportedly planning to tease Gears 6 this Summer.

According to journalist Jeff Grubb, Microsoft and Xbox are planning to tease Gears 6 at the Xbox Showcase later this year. During the Kinda Funny Xbox podcast ‘Xcast,’ Grubb stated that the game would be announced this Summer.

Tom Warren from The Verge later confirmed these claims and tweeted Grubb’s clip, stating that the information was correct. The Coalition has been working on the upcoming Gears of War game for over a year—generally believed to be Gears 6. Microsoft will have plenty of games to be revealed at the Xbox Summer Showcase.

After Grubb and Warren, another renowned insider NateTheHate, he shared similar statements about Gears 6 on ResetEra. Nate stated that he would be surprised if Gears 6 wasn’t showcased at the Xbox event, and he thinks that it will ultimately show off the potential of the current generation console—much like the original Gears of War did for the Xbox 360.

In addition, another industry insider named Shinobi602 commented on the same ResetEra post and suggested that Gears 6 will boast incredible visuals, claiming that “people aren’t ready.”

Ninja Theory confirmed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will run on 30 frames per second with a dynamic resolution on Xbox Series X/S.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be released for Xbox consoles and Windows on May 21, 2023. The game is the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which was released in 2017. Developers at Ninja Theory confirmed earlier today that the game will only run at 30 FPS, with dynamic resolution scaling on Xbox Series X and Series S.

Mark Slater-Tunstill, the game’s VFX director, confirmed it in an interview with the German media website GamePro. Slater-Tunstill stated that even though the game will run at 30 FPS, the gameplay will feel more cinematic for the players.

GamePro claimed that Hellblade II running at 30 frames per second frame rate won’t be a problem because of its heavy and slow-paced gameplay and amazing graphics. Although the frame rate will be locked on Xbox, Ninja Theory confirmed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II’s frame rate can only be increased on PC.

Activision has warned that the developers have started taking action against Ranked Play progression boosting players.

The official Call of Duty Updates account on Twitter posted that the team will have ramped up action against Rank Play progression boosting. The post stated that Ranked Play progression boosting will violate the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement policy, and the team has already started taking action against all detected accounts.

Ranked Play progression boosting is in violation of the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy. Ahead of the launch for Season 3, we have taken action against all detected accounts that engaged in any form of boosting behavior within our competitive environment across Ranked Play modes for Modern Warfare III multiplayer and Call of Duty: Warzone. The accounts flagged for such activities will undergo a reset of their account SR progression, serving as an initial measure as we investigate the severity of their misconduct for potential further consequences.

Additionally, we have placed a high priority on the integrity of our Ranked Play leaderboards by clearing them of the accounts in question.

Fostering a fair and competitive environment for all of our players remains a top priority. We will continue to monitor leaderboards with new detections to identify boosted accounts and may fully reset SR on detected boosted accounts periodically to ensure our leaderboards reflect good, fair gameplay.

The initiative has received much positive feedback from fans, but most comments also requested more security precautions within the game. Many supporters expect additional anti-cheat measures and a resolution for shadow-ban problems.

This step from Activision is a positive development, and things are starting to look better for Call of Duty. In addition, it gained more traction after Call of Duty cheat provider Interwebz was shut down a few weeks ago. However, Interwebz revealed that a legal notice was the reason why it was shut down.

Sony Interactive Entertainment is reportedly planning to hold a PlayStation State of Play showcase in May,

According to Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb, Sony might be hosting a PlayStation Showcase or State of Play in May. Grubb revealed on the Giant Bombcast livestream podcast that ESRB has classified Konami’s upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake, and the release date for the game could be announced at the upcoming PlayStation event.

I have heard that there will be a PlayStation… something—either a State of Play or a Showcase—in May, so this is probably going to be there.

Grubb did not specify whether the event next month would be another State of Play or a PlayStation Showcase. However, Sony hosted a PlayStation Showcase in May last year, and it might also be planning to host another one this year. Last year’s PlayStation Showcase ran over for an hour, featured more than 30 games, and revealed the PlayStation Portal handheld device.

Silent Hill 2 remake has recently been rated Mature by the ESRB for its depiction of violence, blood and gore, sexual themes, and use of inappropriate language for those below the age of 17. According to the rating board’s summary, the game highlights the realistic portrayal of violence, and the game’s environments often feature graphic scenes such as large bloodstains and exposed intestines/organs, adding to the overall horror experience.
