Fallout 4 Sales Increased By 7,500 Percent Following The TV Show’s Release

Bethesda’s Fallout 4 was the best-selling game across Europe last week after the release of the Amazon Prime TV show.

According to data released by the GSD (via GamesIndustry), Fallout 4 was the best-selling game in Europe last week. Sales were up by almost 7,500 percent from last week, with nearly 70 percent coming from PC and the rest on consoles. Furthermore, other games of the Fallout franchise are also in the top 10, with Fallout 76 coming in at No. 8, Fallout: New Vegas at No. 9, and Fallout 3 at No. 10.

The release of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video and the severe price reductions placed on many Fallout games to coincide with the show’s premiere are primarily responsible for the massive increase in sales of Fallout 4. The TV show was released on April 12 on Amazon Prime Video and met with widespread critical acclaim, with a current Rotten Tomatoes rating of 94% and an audience score of 88%.
