A mapping project recently revealed that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 map could be over twice as big as its predecessor, GTA V.
The GTA VI—Vice City & Leonida State Mapping Project is a community project that uses current information and Rage Engine units to measure and recreate the map for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. The community shared some images of the potential map for the upcoming game and highlighted that the game should have a landmass of 125 square kilometers, almost 2.5 times the size of the Grand Theft Auto V map.
Rockstar Games has only released a single cinematic trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, which gave viewers a glimpse of Vice City and the game’s protagonists, Jason and Lucia. The publisher announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 could be released in early 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. However, there have been rumors that Rockstar Games could delay the release date to 2026 as production is falling behind.
