Ninja Theory confirmed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will run on 30 frames per second with a dynamic resolution on Xbox Series X/S.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be released for Xbox consoles and Windows on May 21, 2023. The game is the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which was released in 2017. Developers at Ninja Theory confirmed earlier today that the game will only run at 30 FPS, with dynamic resolution scaling on Xbox Series X and Series S.
Mark Slater-Tunstill, the game’s VFX director, confirmed it in an interview with the German media website GamePro. Slater-Tunstill stated that even though the game will run at 30 FPS, the gameplay will feel more cinematic for the players.
GamePro claimed that Hellblade II running at 30 frames per second frame rate won’t be a problem because of its heavy and slow-paced gameplay and amazing graphics. Although the frame rate will be locked on Xbox, Ninja Theory confirmed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II’s frame rate can only be increased on PC.
