Modern Warfare 3 players are seemingly disappointed with the new Vortex limited-time game mode.

Modern Warfare 3 has achieved worldwide success following the disastrous run of its predecessor. The game has been revamped with new in-game mechanics and has fixed many issues.

Aside from these fixes, Modern Warfare 3 has also received new game modes spread across all types, including multiplayer and Zombies. The first Zombies and multiplayer hybrid game mode, Vortex was introduced a few days ago. However, it seems like the game has left players disappointed.

Players Left Disappointed With the New Vortex LTM

In a recent Reddit thread, u/RuggedTheDragon shared his disappointment with the new Vortex game mode.

The new Vortex LTM is a cross between the traditional and Zombies game mode. One player spawns with the infamous Zombies Wonder Weapon, the one-shot Ray Gun, in this free-for-all mode. Whoever eliminates the Operator with the Ray Gun becomes the new owner of this powerful and otherworldly pistol.

Most players thought that Ray Gun would have one-shot power. However, soon, it turned out to be the opposite. Ray Gun was overwhelmingly weak compared to other weapons. u/LaggieThePenguin commented on how winning in Vortex LTM was easier with normal weapons than using the Ray Gun.

u/GerryMcCannsServe also commented, pointing out the visual blur issue in the current map pool. Although the commenter was happy with how the maps look in-game, the visual quality was a huge letdown.

While Vortex LTM is a step in the right direction, with excellent-looking maps, it still lacks diversity, and the Ray Gun fails to deliver the punch it does in Zombies. Hopefully, Sledgehammer Games will consider player feedback and move towards fixing this limited game mode for future playlists.
