Some Death Timer changes have popped up in LoL PBE as Riot seems to be testing them out.

Riot has been making a bunch of changes to League of Legends in Season 14. Systematic changes have been the name of the game as everything is being improved and spiced up. With a tug-of-war going on with balance, Riot continues to try out new things.

Thus, more Death Timer changes must be coming to League of Legends as it is being tested on PBE. Here is what we know so far.

Death Timer Changes

As revealed by Spideraxe, Riot is testing out some early game Death Timer changes, making them longer. The changes are as follows.

  • Level 1 Death Timer: 6 seconds >>> 10 seconds.
  • Level 2 Death Timer: 6 seconds >>> 10 seconds.
  • Level 3 Death Timer: 8 seconds >>> 12 seconds.
  • Level 4 Death Timer: 8 seconds >>> 12 seconds.
  • Level 5 Death Timer: 10 seconds >>> 14 seconds.
  • Level 6 Death Timer: 12 seconds >>> 16 seconds.
  • Level 7 Death Timer: 18 seconds >>> 20 seconds.
  • Level 8 Death Timer: 21 seconds >>> 25 seconds.
  • Level 9 Death Timer: 26 seconds >>> 28 seconds.
  • Level 10 and Above Death Timers: Unchanged.

Numbers don’t do the changes justice as this could change the whole dynamic of the game. Longer Death Timers mean that an untimely death costs way more and enemies can take more advantages out of it.

Thus, this forces players to play safer and slower, thus changing average game times and more. The meta will likely shift as well.

While all that said, we do not know when Riot will ship these changes as there is no timeline provided. Hopefully, we will know about that soon.

Here’s everything you need to know about all the Ultimate skins released in League of Legends.

Ultimate skins are the highest tier skin purchasable in League of Legends. According to Riot, every Ultimate skin creates an expansive new fantasy for the champion, and they raise the novelty bar for skins in some way.

First introduced with the Pulsefire Ezreal skin back in 2012, Ultimate skins quickly grabbed players’ attention and became one of the most popular skins in League of Legends. However, despite having such a massive demand from the player base, there are only a few ultimate skins in the game.

“Ultimate skins will always require extra development time to craft, create, and ship, “Riot Bellissimoh previously said on why there’s a lack of Ultimate skins. “And most importantly, all of this effort should translate to an experience that you think is best-in-class for the champion.”

There are currently seven Ultimate skins in League of Legends. The most recent addition was the Soul Fighter Samira skin, which was added in 2023.

  • Price: 3250 RP

Pulsefire Ezreal is the first Ultimate skin in League of Legends, released in 2012. Yet, it is still one of the most popular Ezreal skins, even though he has one of the highest numbers of skins in League of Legends.

Pulsefire Ezreal has four different forms that unlock at level 1, level 6, level 11, and level 16, respectively.

  • Release Date: July 16, 2013 (Reworked on August 24, 2022)
  • Price: 3250 RP

Spirit Guard Udyr is the second Ultimate skin in League of Legends and by far the best Udyr skin in the game. The skin has five different forms, one for his base and four for his four abilities.

According to many players, Spirit Guard Udyr defines what Udyr should look like, and many believe that without this skin, Udyr is not even playable.

Udyr received his long-anticipated rework in 2022, and after that, Spirit Guard Udyr became one of the fan favorites.

DJ Sona

DJ Sona
Image: Riot Games
  • Release Date: February 25, 2015
  • Price: 3250 RP

Released in 2015, DJ Sona quickly became one of the best Sona skins in League of Legends, with three different forms you can toggle through by typing “/toggle”, “/g”, or pressing ctrl + 5. These three forms are Concussive, Ethereal, and Kinetic, each with unique visual and sound effects.

Elementalist Lux

Elementalist Lux
Image: Riot Games
  • Release Date: November 28, 2016
  • Price: 3250 RP

Elementalist Lux is the most detailed Lux skin in the game and one of the best Ultimate skins in League of Legends. Elementalist Lux has ten forms: Light, Water, Fire, Air, Nature, Ice, Storm, Magma, Mystic, and Dark.

Elementalist Lux forms
Image: Riot Games

Elementalist Lux starts every match in her Light form. She will reach a power level that will let her transform as she gains Elemental Power from hitting enemy champions with a spell (using her Q, E, or R abilities).

After building up the energy, Lux can change her forms twice throughout the game. The first transformation will be to the element you select. The second form is determined based on which two elements have been selected in combination. The combinations are:

  • Magma: Fire + Nature
  • Storm: Fire + Air
  • Mystic: Water + Nature
  • Ice: Water + Air
  • Dark: Nature + Air or Water + Fire

Elementalist Lux has so many animations and details that Riot Games will never make any ultimate skins like Elementalist Lux again to avoid the game-breaking experience.

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune

  • Release Date: March 22, 2018
  • Price: 2775 RP

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune is currently the only Ultimate skin that costs 2775 RP. The skin has four different forms: Scarlet Fair, Zero Hour, Starswarm, and Royal Arms.

Soul Fighter Samira

Soul Fighter Samira
Soul Fighter Samira via Riot Games
  • Release Date: July 20, 2023
  • Price: 3250 RP

Soul Fighter Samira is the newest Ultimate skin added to League of Legends after three years. Based on some rumors, Samira was supposed to receive a Legendary+ tier skin, a new skin tier. However, Riot scraped that idea and turned Soul Fighter Samira into the Ultimate tier instead.

Soul Fighter Samira has a completely new Style Meter HUD, and her ultimate missiles are also revamped to look more stylish now. Samira’s Taunt, which you can perform with ctrl + 2, now also evolves based on how many kills you have with her. And last but not least, she also has a Pentakill animation similar to many Legendary skins.

Ultimate Skins Price

Ultimate skins are the highest tier skins in League of Legends, and to buy one Ultimate skin, you will have to spend 2775 RP to 3250 RP. That’s about $25 for one skin.

How to Buy Ultimate Skins

All the Ultimate skins are currently available for purchase from the client’s store. In order to buy skin, go to Store > Skins > Sort by “Ultimate Skin.”

How many League of Legends skins have been released in 2024 thus far? Let’s have a look.

One of the most impressive parts of League of Legends, aside from its fantastic combat system, is its vast array of cosmetics items. The game offers a plethora of cosmetics options, starting from Icons, which let players express their style, to Emotes, which offer an alternate way to communicate, and much more. But the most important cosmetics that everyone can agree on are the skins.

Skins are solely cosmetics items that players can purchase for their preferred champions. They provide the champions with different audio and visual effects that distinguish them from the standard champion model. Skins can be as simple as color changes to as complex as new animations and sound effects.

Let’s talk about all the upcoming skins coming to League of Legends

Skins are a big part of the League of Legends experience. They are cosmetic items that players can use to customize the champions in the game. Moreover, each champion has multiple skins to choose from.

Over League’s decade-old lifespan, Riot has introduced over 1500 skins to League of Legends. Not only that, but every two weeks, Riot introduces even more skins. Most of these skins are revealed a week or two before release. They go through a testing phase in the PBE or Public Beta Environment server before being shipped for all players. But sometimes, skins get revealed way earlier than they are supposed to.

In this article, we will go through all the skins that have been confirmed by Riot but have not been released yet.

Note: This article has been updated on July 30, 2024.

Skin Rumors

There are a few rumors circulating about some of the upcoming League of Legends skins, like always. While many of them do not substantiate too much, there are also others that turn out to be accurate.

The most credible rumors are that Zoe will be getting a skin and Spirit Blossom is going to come back this year. Zoe was supposed to be included in Anima Squad, but Riot cut her out. On the other hand, Spirit Blossom is going to be coming at some point this year, potentially a big release.

As for Prestige skins, we are going to get more info on this sometime soon, so stay tuned for that.

The League of Legends Clash schedule for 2024 has been revealed.

Since 2009, League of Legends has been one of the premier competitive games on the market. And the main way to get that competitive experience alone is by playing a ranked solo queue. Additionally, Riot has made tons of changes regarding the ranked queue to make the player experience even better. Not only that, but Riot is entirely changing the ranked system to judge a player’s skill better.

However, if you have a 5-stack team and you are looking for a proper competitive experience, then ranking is not a good option. The built-in ranked flex queue is such a joke that no one takes it seriously. So, as a great in-client alternative, there is Clash.

To explain briefly, Clash is a tournament system within League of Legends where a team can compete in a bracket against other teams, where the more a team wins, the more rewards they get.

In recent years, Clash has become the main game mode for many people. Additionally, many solo queue players are also going out of their way to find a team so that they can earn some rewards. And as season 14 is here, the Clash schedule has also been revealed as well.

July 30, 2024: Updated the article with the August Clash Schedule.

Riot mentioned a while back that a secret VGU is coming and new leaks are saying that Viktor will get the VGU.

With Arcane Season 2 on the horizon, Riot is preparing for the TV series in more than one way. Different games of the same universe will get their shine as they introduce new characters and more.

We already know of Ambessa Mederda being the next champion in League of Legends and should be released around the time Arcane Season 2 rolls in. Also, Riot had already said there was going to be a VGU for a champion and that might be Viktor as new leaks suggest. Here is what we know so far.

Potential Viktor VGU

As per usual, the primary leaker of League of Legends, BigBadBear, unveiled this new piece of information. Also, it is always best to take a grain of salt as I personally do so.

However, it would be unfair to deny the possibility that Riot is looking in this direction. Considering Riot already ruled out Singed previously, there were not a whole lot of characters that would fit the description for Riot to have to change appearances due to Arcane.

Multiple characters for the TV series are accurately depicted with just Arcane skin versions coming out. Going down the line of Viktor getting the VGU suggests that they are looking to make changes to a champion that has had a lot of retconning with Arcane.

Hextech has changed in terms of lore and Viktor is probably going to follow suit. As it is expected to be a VGU, only the Visuals should change and the character abilities will remain.

But Riot has always reserved their opinions of changing up a few things but Viktor does not seem to need addressing on the gameplay front.

Again, this is a rumor and we very well could have a different character getting the VGU instead. For now, Viktor is the primary recipient as suggested by the leak.

Riot is going to make some updates to Swain in League of Legends as we might be getting a mini-rework.

It has been a minute since Riot has come out with a rework of a champion. The last time we got such changes was the Corki update in Patch 14.10 to turn him into an AD character.

Since then, Riot has not rolled out any rework level changes even though significant adjustments rolled out in League of Legends. But it is a well-known fact that Riot is always testing behind the scenes to change things they do not like.

This seems to be where they are going with Swain as Riot is going to make some hefty changes. Here is what we know so far.

Upcoming Swain Update

While Riot has not yet completely revealed the new Swain changes, they gave us an insight into what is being worked on. A lot of it is changing up his playstyle while giving him some reliability changes. The prospective changes are as follows.

  • Reducing Dependencies on Items during his Ult
  • Increasing reliability for abilities for both laning and support. Buffing Q for solo lane and E for supports.
  • Improving the ultimate to give more potent damage in shorter duration skirmishes.

Essentially, Riot is trying to make Swain more reliable as a champion. His effectiveness has always relied on items to help him out sustain enemies in fights. Also, his kit is designed for longer team fights, so that puts Swain in a niche.

Thus, Riot is changing a lot of those dependencies and attributes in order to make him more reliable in two separate roles. In theory, this sounds like a great idea for a champion who is struggling to find relevance at the highest levels.

However, the problem arises when Riot does too much (Aurelion Sol CGU) and they have to spend the next patches and so to balance that out. Riot still hasn’t found the right balance for ASol and that should say a lot.

Hopefully, Riot irons out the details and lands at a place where Swain will be strong, and only minor nerfs/buffs will be required to keep him in a good state.
