Season 14 is coming to an end, and Respawn has teased us with the upcoming character. Leaks suggest that Catalyst may be the first transgender legend to make an entry into the Apex universe.
A few days are left until Season 14 ends. This Season has been pretty exciting with lots of new content, including Vantage, Kings Canyon overhaul, Loba’s Heirloom, and more. However, Season 15 might surpass the ongoing Season in terms of exciting content.
Respawn has already started teasing the upcoming map, Divided Moon. Players can take a quick peek at the new map from the “A New Home” teaser mode in-game. However, the other exhilarating content players have been waiting for is a new character, “Catalyst.”
Catalyst was leaked a few seasons back. So, players already have some decent idea of this mysterious character’s abilities. However, no additional details were leaked regarding this character’s Origin and gender until now.

Catalyst Might be the First Transgender Legend
As Season 14 is almost at its end, Respawn has started to release small teasers for the new map and legend. However, a recent leak by ThordanSmash shed light on an interesting fact about Catalyst’s gender. And his tweet indicates that Catalyst will be a transgender legend.
ThordanSmash has been a reliable leaker in the community and has been mostly accurate. Judging by his tweet, it seems like ThordanSmash got insider info about Catalyst’s true identity, so it might be more than mere speculation.
Although he hasn’t directly specified the gender of the character, the flag he added clearly hints that Catalyst will be transgender. We’ve already seen multiple LGBTQ+ legends in the game, including, Bloodhound (non-binary), Gibraltar (gay), Loba (bi-sexual), Valkyrie (lesbian), and more.
Apex Legends promotes a diversified environment where every player and character is welcomed, included, and accepted. So is the LGBTQ+ community. As a result, it is not surprising that Respawn will introduce a transgender Legend in the upcoming update. Nonetheless, it is just a leak, so take it with a grain of salt.
