Genshin Impact’s wishing system might be facing some new and exciting changes if the rumors are said to be true. With the increasing number of characters, the devs were bound to take action with the current wishing system.

A Third Banner Coming in Genshin Impact?
A third banner has been in the making for a long while. There have been many rumors and speculations surrounding this factor. While there has been no official announcement from Hoyoverse yet, the inclusion of a third banner seems to be obvious at this point.
This is due to the fact that the Genshin Impact character roster is growing in every patch and has reached 74 by the time this article is written. Characters like Albedo and Eula haven’t seen their banner in over a year.
So, What’s the Solution?
Apparently, Hoyoverse is going to introduce a third banner in the upcoming 4.5 patch. The banner specifics haven’t been uncovered yet by data miners. That being said, if the rumors are true, we will be getting region-specific banners this time around.
This means the character in the 3rd banner will be from a certain region of the game. In 4.5, there will be a Monstadt festival, there characters like Albedo, Eula, and Klee will have the top priority. Whether Archons will be introduced or not is yet to be decided.
How will the Regional Banner Work?
The overall functionality of the banner is yet to be revealed. But from the rumors, it seems we will have a mechanic similar to the Epitomized path from the current weapon banners. Will the 50-50 system be implemented or not is yet to be confirmed.
How Hoyoverse will include the weapons are kept in the dark for the time being. They might start to give up purchasable 5-star weapon bundles if some leaks are considered to be true.
